"I am not a believer or a fan of horror stories.." I whispered in my head. The entrance looks like a gate in cemetery. Pumpkin lantern looks weird but still not surprised. "Ugh!" I am not interested in kind of horror house riding. "But no choice!"
The gate slowly winding with a squeaky sound rumbling in my bones. Dark splash in our eyes. Lights appeared one by one. *Hump!* I- am- not -surprised... practically, every horror house doing that same effects—So, no!
"It is a totally waste of time!" I said angrily.
"What are you saying?" My girlfriend replied. "Come on, go with the flow... everyone here is enjoying."
"Yeah. and I am almost deafening!"
What on earth are they shouting for, those are just human who masked a horror costume. With a horrifying cosmetic artistry— Are they dumbed?
( Few Minutes ago)
"Mearko... can i—hold your hand?" She coldly hold my hand and her eyes were tearing, and I felt her shaking that moment. She was like a child who were abandoned in the middle of the dark forest. Her beautiful grayish eyes looking at me begging for help.
"What are you afraid of?" I said. "They're just fake!"
"Youre acting weird though," she said.
"What do you mean?" Her friend Anathea asked her. Anathea sat in the front set with her boyfriend too, name, Lucas.
"Hmp...just forget it." She replied. "He disappointed me!"
"What?" I shortly asked. "Did I make something will get you off?
"You ruined my day, that's it!"
"Guys, here we come in the exciting part!" Anathea energetically cheering up. She hold tight on her boyfriend's shoulder like an octopus. "Zombies are coming here!!!!" "Sweetie, hug me!"
Ow how sweet... I look in my side and watching her. "Stop that!" She's irritated.
"I thought you were afraid of those zombies?" I said. "Do you need hug?"
"No thanks!" She ignored me. Now she's acting like weird. So I let her ignore me, maybe she's not happy right now.
The lights flickering dramatically, while a deep voice amplified playing a crazy line. Zombies agonizing in pain. They were many in each cage, moaning and stretching their hands. When the ride passes each cage, the cage automatically open letting all zombies chasing us in an aggressive way. People were panicking, shouting intensely like they were seeing a real zombie. With a 3 meter gap, zombies dramatically speeding up maintaining the gap.
"Sweetie, look they're chasing us!!!!" Anathea was horrified. "We're too slow!" She panicked.
"Don't worry sweetie Pie, I'll protect you! Lucas answered.
Everyone is panicking except the two of us. We're out of the context. Zombies, panicking people, lovers... We—are both in a different world in that moment! However, the unexpected moment bring us back to the point of unexpected surprise.
"Why it stop?"
"W—what happened?"
"The light disappeared!!!"
"Ah~"
We thought it all part of the horror house ride. Zombies moaning disappeared too, leaving a silence and shock. Everyone grabbed their phone and light the surroundings. Unfortunately, the zombies face are almost glued on their face. When Anathea turn on her phone up, she shocked loudly when she saw the face of a zombie with pale skin and blunt corneal suddenly appeared on her face.
"Zombieeeeeeee!!!!!!" Anathea wildly shouted. The aggressiveness of zombies start to attack everyone by acting of grabbing passenger's hands. While the moment they were doing a typical zombie acting, I saw another zombie hold my girlfriend's hands intentionally, causing pain to her wrists. Though, she might feel the pain, she ignored it as it just a play. She closed her eyes because she was afraid, resisting her hands to the zombies who are trying to grab her forcefully.
"Hey that's enough!!!" I shouted to the zombie. But it didn't response. The lights still not appeared, I could barely see it what exactly they are, but the moment the zombie hold my girlfriend's hands, I understand that it as a strength of a man. Another zombie came with a same intention. I heard the mumbling of a man "hurry!"
"Hey, what have you done—?" My girlfriend suddenly loss her consciousness. "Amber! Wake up!" I turned on my phone but someone grab it and thrown it away. I realized it isn't a play... It is..a kidnapping!
I punched zombie on his face making him to walk backed but the other one was able to pick Amber's body. He is strong enough to get her. I tried to stop him, but someone blocked me, forcing me to fight. Nobody knows what's happening between Amber and me during that blackout. They all have their own moments fighting with zombies.
I tried to chase the kidnappers, blinding with no lights there, I bumped many times to unknown object on my way. But, surprisingly the kidnappers not even once bump in anything on its way. Maybe they wear special gear that can see in the dark, that's the only thing I answered to myself. I struggled to follow them, thanks to the red light emitting on their gear , though it is just a dot, I could follow them through and through.
