Cherreads

Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

The homeroom and getting to know each other was already ended and now we are currently heading towards the bulletin board after eating our lunch at the cafeteria.

I think calling that place cafeteria seems too unfair after it almost was on par with the famous restaurant Comida Boa. You don't even need to head by the counter all you have to do is raise your hand like in the restaurant for waiters to come get your order in the menu. The menu was also wonderful, it says even if you order a food out of the menu they'll still prepare it. Was it confidence from the chef or is it just all bark and no bite.

"Ah there it is the bulletin board!" Aviel points, her hair was now styled on a high ponytail. She always has that habit of hers styling her hair on a high ponytail after she gets used to the area around her.

"It's a bit crowded huh..?" Caleb said, his arms on my shoulder. "There's no point looking at the ranking now Aviel, we already know what rank Gab and also ours just like last year...!"

Caleb's eyes widened, his arm dropping out of my shoulder in surprise. Aviel's jaw also dropped. I became confused upon why they were acting like this until I tracked the direction of their view..

...

2nd Place, Lee Jaewhi.

A sudden rush of mixed emotions all piled up in the pit of my stomach. Aviel and Caleb's gaze kept looking at me and the board back and forth.

Me, Lee Jaehwi??.. Would drop down from the 1st place to the 2nd place for this mere two people?!

My jaw clenched. My sight was wavering in anger and in bewilderment. I stare at the two names who got the 1st place. Sevastyan Svyatolaz Nikolayev and Lucas Leonardo Goettems. Fuck.

I'm so pissed off!

I walked away. With only one thing in mind find this two people or go to the office and complain about this rigged wretched results. Right, there is absolutely no way I'd stoop down to that level.

I stormed out looking for both of them in the whole academy, I even asked a bunch of students for their whereabouts and for some reasons, Sevastyan is nowhere to be seen. I've only located Lucas at the 1st floor of the 3rd building resting at an empty clubroom.

I burst open the door, revealing Lucas sitting at the desk near an opened window, his head leaning on the glass and then turned towards me. His deep blue eyes glistens when the sunlight hits it, and it reminds of the color of the deepest part of the ocean, this scene may captivate others, unfortunately I'm not like the others. There's nothing more than I really hate the most is the ocean deep that contains many undiscovered creatures living there. I grit my teeth.

"Do you need something..?" He tilts his head, his left eyebrow raised. For some reason I couldn't answer his question, I stood there staring at him and him staring back at me like two strangers suddenly having a staring contest out of nowhere.

A clear hint confused was written all over his face, his eyebrows raised as if he recognized me and his confusion turned into a playful grin.

"You're Lee Jaewhi right..?" He asked another question but for some reason it felt like I'm about to get involved into something I'm definitely not comfortable about. He stood up from his seat and slowly walking towards me, I step back out of reflex but it was already too late to create some distance. His tall height and fit physique towering over me, I was only just as tall as his neck. "Are you not..?" He leans closer with his grin growing.

"I am.." I muttered, stepping back again to create some distance. He smells like the ocean breeze. My brows furrowed feeling a bit intimidated by him. He smirked in response.

"I don't know why you were going out of your way looking for me and Seb all over this huge school, but don't wear yourself out. I wouldn't want you being so exhausted from all that running..." He hums, lifting the fringe in my forehead and twirling it with his smirk still unwavering.

Snap. Like a piece of thread getting cut by a pair of scissors, my patience snapped. My jaw clenched as his hand now caressing my cheek.

This bastard. Is he looking down at me..? A mere son of that annoying actress has the nerve to look down at me. Just because his father is known for his damned restaurant doesn't mean he can just be allowed to get this cocky enough to forget his place. Me who is the rightful heir of this prestigious school and a company 10 times bigger than his!

I grabbed him by gus collar and I pulled him closer to my face. "Listen here you imbecile, has your parents ever teach you how to know your place?. Just because you earned the 1st place by god knows how you cheated, doesn't mean you can get to be this fucking cocky, you understand me..?" I whispered, his hand gripping on my wrist and his eyes staring at mine with hostility.

I took my hand off of his collar and scoffs sarcastically. My wrist is numbing in pain, to think his grip was that strong to the point this will leave a bruise. He was fixing his collar as his thick brows frowned, and as our eyes met he then showed off a furious smile.

"Fuck off." I smirked and raised my middle finger at him before leaving and slamming the door behind me.

Now walking at the main building's hallway on my way to the classroom I spotted Aviel and Caleb in the distance and our eyes immediately met and walked fast towards me.

"Just where have you been running off like that..?!" Aviel shouts, she seemed mad. "You didn't even pick up your phone, we've called you a bunch of times. "Really, you did..?" I said startled,

I didn't even notice it ringing, is it perhaps I was a bit distracted by something..? I took my phone out of my pocket and saw at the lock screen. 23 missed calls from the contact Aviel and Caleb.

"I didn't notice it earlier." I said placing back my phone into my pocket.

"Whatever.." Aviel rolled her eyes. "Anyway.. Can't you believe what happened while you were away!" She shouts leaning close to me, I can see her freckles clearly. "W-What..?" I stuttered surprised.

"Can't you believe this guy has got lost again"

"Again?."

"Yes! Ever since we left towards the bulletin board."

No wonder I felt something missing at that time, I was too fixated about the fact I got misplaced at the 2nd place. What an annoying thing to remember. I'll better go to the office and demand reasons for that result.

"This bastard has just arrived 15 minutes before you got back here, If it weren't for one of our classmate bringing him back here this guy would've been lost forever!" Caleb grins as he headlocks Klaus's neck. "Who was that classmate..?" I asked curious.

"I don't know his name..?" He responded dumbfounded, and Aviel facepalms her forehead in disbelief. "It was Sevan."

"Who's that..?"

"How come you two don't recognize him..?" She said baffled, looking at us like we're two idiots. She sighs. "Nevermind!." "Lolololol." Caleb laughs in response.

I wasn't paying attention during the introduction so my guess is that Sevan is that dude with a dirty blonde hair and glasses. I can't comprehend why Aviel asked us if we really don't remember him. He does look familiar to the point that it makes me think this isn't our first time meeting, but he's still a loner and a nobody.
