Chapter 2: Fabricating the Future and Activating the Sharingan
Not long after, the four beauties of Konohagakure arrived at the dessert shop one after another.
The moment they saw each other, they all confirmed one thing:
The chat group they'd thought of really did allow them to communicate across space.
All conversations were held by real people—no impersonations.
"It would be great if there were no traps!"
After Ino introduced everyone to Tenten, she said, "This way, we can transmit information anytime and anywhere. It's even more convenient than my clan's secret technique."
Tenten nodded in agreement. "We don't know yet if there's a distance limit, but it covers at least all of Konohagakure."
"That initial prompt said it can improve all aspects of our abilities. I wonder if it's true," Hinata added, her eyes full of anticipation.
Sakura said disapprovingly, "You're only focusing on the good. This thing appeared out of nowhere—it must have a purpose, right? And what's with the 'Takashi Mori's Heroine Group'? Joining the group means becoming part of it."
"I just can't accept that. My loyalty to Sasuke-kun is unshakable. Who even is Takashi Mori?"
As soon as Sakura finished speaking, her body suddenly trembled violently, and she screamed.
Ino and the others, along with the nearby customers, were startled and turned their attention to her.
Several arcs of electricity flashed across Sakura's body as if she were being electrocuted.
But before anyone could react further, the arcs quickly vanished, and Sakura stopped trembling.
"Hey, are you okay?" Ino stood up in concern, poked Sakura with her finger, and sighed in relief when she saw she was fine.
Tenten smiled awkwardly at the customers nearby and said, "Sorry! Sorry to bother you all—we were just joking!"
Hearing that, the other customers lost interest and looked away.
Hinata said softly, "The reminder said group members can't do anything harmful to the group owner. Sakura just insulted the group owner—this must be the punishment for breaking the rules."
Tenten frowned. "It looks like joining the chat group comes with restrictions. We need to take the rules seriously. Fortunately, the punishment wasn't too harsh."
Sakura had only been electrocuted a few times and was already recovering.
Even so, fine beads of sweat dotted her forehead.
Already unhappy with the chat group, Sakura now felt even more displeased.
She wanted to ask: Did Takashi Mori create this chat group just to control us?
Otherwise, why is he the group owner, and why are all the rules in his favor?
But just as she was about to speak, she remembered what had just happened—and kept her mouth shut.
Instead, Sakura said, "Does the name Takashi Mori sound familiar to any of you?"
"I wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't brought it up... but it does sound familiar," Ino replied, trying to recall but coming up blank.
Tenten shrugged. "This is the first time I've heard that name."
Hinata said softly, "Um... Takashi Mori is our classmate. I thought you all knew."
"Huh?" The three of them were stunned simultaneously.
Sakura and Ino looked embarrassed—he was their classmate.
Tenten was surprised they couldn't remember their own classmate's name.
Sakura complained, "He's like a ghost in class. No standout traits. Of course we didn't remember him."
Ino nodded. "Takashi Mori is way too low-key. I don't think I've ever spoken to him once."
Tenten didn't dwell on it and said thoughtfully, "If he's the group owner, this chat group might be connected to him. We should find a chance to test it."
Ino and Hinata had no objections. Since they'd joined the group, they needed to understand it.
Sakura, however, disagreed. "I don't care. The prompts said we can leave the group at any time. I'm done playing with you guys—I want out!"
Once she left the group, she'd sever ties with Takashi Mori. No more complications, no more conspiracy worries.
"Hey, you just got electrocuted and you're still thinking of quitting?" Ino said with a hint of sarcasm.
Sakura froze. Deep down, she didn't want to accept it so easily.
Besides, leaving the group meant her memories would be erased.
"It's settled. Tomorrow at school, I'll beat him up first—then I'll quit the group!" Sakura suddenly changed her mind.
Unlike Sakura, the others weren't too concerned about the so-called "Heroine Group."
It was just a label—nothing real.
Ino loved excitement, and the unknown nature of this thing piqued her curiosity.
Tenten wanted to see if the future video was genuine, and Hinata was drawn to the potential for power enhancement.
And so, each girl stayed in the group for their reasons.
Their conversation was overheard clearly by Takashi Mori, who was sitting not far away.
He confirmed each of their reactions and quietly left the dessert shop.
He already had a rough idea of how to fabricate a future.
The first step: prepare some initial resources for himself.
Soon, Takashi Mori used the system's capabilities to fabricate a "future."
Once he finished editing, the system automatically converted it into a movie format.
Before Takashi Mori could react, the video was uploaded to the chat group.
"Shit, no one told me that would happen!" Takashi Mori was stunned.
He thought only he would see the made-up future.
No wonder the system reminded him that the "future" could be changed!
In that case, the fabricated "future" really could be rewritten.
'Damn system—how underhanded!'
'I'm not going to become the clown of the story, am I?'
Takashi Mori couldn't help but worry, but it was too late to retract or revise the video.
---
The four girls, having just left the dessert shop, received system notifications one after another—a clip of a future video had been uploaded to the group.
[Tenten]: Is this a video of the future? So exciting!
[Haruno Sakura]: We don't even know if it's real. I bet this so-called "future video" is just a way to manipulate us. Ahhhhh!!
[Yamanaka Ino]: ?? ??
[Hinata Hyuga]: Sakura broke the rules again...
[Tenten]: Rule 3 says future videos are real and shouldn't be questioned.
[Haruno Sakura]: Bastard! I'm so angry! Ouch, it hurts...
[Yamanaka Ino]: Pfft, hahaha! I can't stop laughing.
[Tenten]: Sakura, come on. We're not that important. Who would go through all this trouble just to manipulate us?
[Hinata Hyuga]: Um... let's just watch the video first. Huh?

Future video screen —
[In the Morning. Hinata leaves home and heads toward the Ninja Academy.
On the way, she passes a secluded corner and sees several people surrounding Takashi Mori, bullying him.
Takashi Mori becomes enraged. His eyes turn bloodshot, and he strikes back, beating them in a few moves.
The attackers are confused, but Hinata is stunned.
Two tomoe spins in his blood-red eyes—it's the Sharingan!
As his Sharingan locks onto her, Hinata senses danger and turns to run—but Takashi Mori blocks her path.
During this era, the Sharingan was taboo!
To force her to keep the secret, Takashi Mori kisses her—using it as a threat.
Hinata is timid, obedient, and dazed.]
