Chapter 2 - A book that grant wishes 1

" I'm sorry to tell you this but you have lung cancer, if you get admitted to the hospital quickly you can start treatment soon, have you told your family about this?."

" No doctor, how much time do I left?."

" Let's see, it's been six months you had cancer, but there's still time to tr...."

Allon Noah walked out of the hospital in a daze, everything seemed like a rollercoaster movie to him, he had cancer but he didn't care much at all, at least not physically.

But mentally Allon was dying inside, loneliness, confusion, fear all this feelings plastered deep into his heart.

He had no intention of starting treatment for his cancer - he had cancer and that was all there's to it to him. He didn't want to die in a hospital bed with tubes clued to his body, that would disgraceful to him.

While working as a sales assistant he had always felt that something was wrong with his lungs, but he had no money to check it out, all the money he had was for him and his apartment.

Everyday he went to work his lungs would get worse and so Allon decided to get a check up before heading to work to find out what was wrong with him.

But his heart sank in shock as he heard the news from the doctor.

Allon immediately quite his job and booked a train to his home town in turpan.

Allon Noah was born in turpan and raised in turpan and his home was an old house with it's own entrance and a court yard. Though the court yard looked very modern but because nobody was leaving there for years the courtyard looked unkept and empty.

" I'm home," he shouted hoping to here to reply from any one inside, but if he got a reply he would have died in shock right then and there.

Allon Noah's parent had passed away from a murder case About a decade ago he did not have any close relatives nor friends that's why he travelled out to another place to make a living and get married if possible. If that was possible, he would have died a happy man, knowing he tried his best.

After giving some thoughts about his life from the moment he was born to the present day and age Allon Noah felt his very existence as a pointless struggle.

In a world where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer there was nothing he could do, he work from 9 - 9 and yet he only gathered enough money to feed himself for a year. Even if he wanted to treat the cancer he had it would have been pointless because he had no money.

He opened the door and took a glance at the inner workings of his home, the house had been vacant for a dacade so it was filled with dust. He entered inside and dropped his properties close to the door and he began to tidy up the place. While cleaning found a number of old items and rimended him of the time he was little. Toys, and drawings filled the floor when Allon saw his this his face lit up with a bright smile.

Hmmm, I have never seen this before! What's this?.

He found an old, brown wooden box shelf in the living room. After opening it it was filled with many things. Money, television remotes and a large white book.

How can a book this white not get dusty after 10 years?.

The book was unusually white with nothing written on the cover page. The quality of the cover page was thick and beautiful unlike any book he has seen before, this book was beautiful without a single fault.

He decided to remove the book from the brown wooden box as he opened it to see what was written inside.

The quality of each page of the book was so fine that it shimmered as if it has been brushed with a layer of oil.

"Weird there's nothing written in the front pages."

Curious to find out what was written in these special white book he went to the massive table at the living room to read, but his anticipation quickly turned into disappointment.

What? nothing! It's empty.

A surprised expression crossed his face as he began to turn the pages of the book as gently as he could. This task took him about thirty minutes, and just as he was about to turn the last page, he finally saw a note: "Do you have a wish? Everybody has a wish. Write four things you would wish for on the first page, and they will surely come true."

A smile spread across his face as he remembered, "Ha... yes, I remember this book! It was left behind by my grandfather when I was just a little kid. How could I forget?"

Allon Noah's grandfather had mysteriously found the book in their garden. Despite the dust that often accumulated there, the book remained remarkably white and beautiful, showing no signs of wear. His Grandfather decided to drop it inside the wooden brown box until he had a significant business plan to write in it.

His grandfather loved shiny things, but Allon thought.

It wouldn't hurt to write down my wishes before I die right?

He picked up a black pen from the table, carefully to write his goals. Unsure of what to write, he contemplated having superpowers instead of just getting rich or curing his cancer.

In truth, reality was harsh for him, and he didn't truly believe that whatever he wrote would come true. Still, he wrote down what his imagination could fathom.

Instead of listing his wishes, he expressed them in a sentence: "How great would it be to control time, to buy and sell it, with each transaction elevating me to new heights of power and wealth? By then, the world would be crazy for me."

He let out a laugh, allowing his delusions to feed him with illusions.

"Or how wonderful would it be to have a secret base, like a castle beyond time and space, where I could enter anytime and form my own secret organization? That would be so much fun!"

"Or having the ability to be smart enough not to be outsmarted by anyone! With each passing day, my intellect would grow stronger; it would feel like having two brains at once, hehehe."

"Or imagine being able to imbue cards with abilities. Each time I bestow a card, I gain a better ability. If I were granted subordinate super strength, I would receive superior super strength in return! Isn't that exciting?"

That was fun! I should try this again tomorrow. They say if you feed your illusions too much, they might become reality.

The reason Allon didn't write something practical like curing his cancer or becoming instantly rich was that he thought it might be fake. He didn't care much about what he had written in the book; he only did it for fun. However, the moment he penned those words in the book, his life changed forever.
