Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE - One Night Stand

The rain was still drizzling and it made the evening air filled with the smell of wet tar and delicious hotdogs. And inside her apartment in one of the high rise condos in Seattle, Jennifer was going through a heartbreak and her best friend was pacing around her room and going off completely.

"How dare he?! He is such a coward!" Hope said, very obviously upset.

"I don't know, Hope. I'm still shocked. He didn't even give me any warning or anything and we hadn't fought recently." Jennifer said as she burst into a fresh round of tears.

"So not only did he break up with you over text, he also broke up with you over nothing? He is a big coward!" Hope said.

"I was in love with him. I really was. I don't think I'll love ever again." Jennifer said in between tears, her voice sounding shaky.

"Oh my poor darling." Hope sat beside her on the bed and gave her a big hug. "That is his loss, Jennifer. You should not waste your tears on him anymore." She said while hugging Jennifer and cleaning her tears.

"How could I not? He was the love of my life, Hope. I'm never going to move on!" Jennifer said, burying her face in her pillow.

"You are going to move on. You're still very pretty and very young. You are just 21, you still have the rest of your life ahead of you." Hope assured her.

Jen did not respond and she just kept on crying. A few minutes later, Hope became fed up with seeing her best friend cry her eyes out.

"You know what Jennifer? This isn't going to work. I am not going to sit here and watch you turn yourself into a dump because of that useless man named Cameron. Get a hold of yourself and go and get dressed. We are going clubbing tonight. You know that I won't take no for an answer." Hope said authoritatively.

Jennifer knew that there was no use in arguing with her best friend.

She gathered herself and began to doll herself up. By the time she was done, Hope was already waiting for her.

"Girllll! You look so hot! All eyes are definitely going to be on you tonight." Hope exclaimed.

Hope added a few finishing touches to their hair and they both headed out.

They took a taxi to Babylon Club, the hottest nightclub in the whole of Seattle.

As soon as they entered, Hope dragged Jennifer to the drink bar and ordered a few martinis to get them started. After a few minutes, Jen had loosened up and was dancing her heart out. Her and Hope were having the best night ever and she was not going to let her ex boyfriend prevent her from having maximum fun.

Heavily drunk and determined to get rid of her heartache, Jennifer made her way to the middle of the dance floor and dominated it totally.

Meanwhile, a very handsome young man who was sitting at the bar noticed her as soon as she made her way to the center of the dance floor. He ordered two shots of vodka and headed straight for her.

Confidently, he handed her the shot glass.

"Hello beautiful." He leaned in and said loudly into her ear.

"I'm not trying to talk, I just want to dance!" She replied to him and took the shot glass out of his hand. She held his hand and started swinging it, trying to get him to dance.

"Well then, Cheers!" He shouted and flashed her a bright smile.

"Less talking, more dancing Mister! Whoooo!" She screamed in ecstasy as she downed the shot.

It didn't take fifteen minutes before Jennifer and the handsome stranger, who were both drunk, were all over each other.

"You are such a sexy woman". The handsome said into her ear.

Without warning, Jennifer grabbed his head and pushed her lips against his. With gusto, he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her deeper into the kiss. Their bodies moved in perfect synchrony with each other and the music, that it was almost as if they had fallen in love instantly.

"Let us get out of here." He whispered into her ear.

A short car ride later, Jennifer found herself in a big mansion kissing the sexy, handsome stranger.

Their actions, led by the alcohol, uncontrolled and wild and all they wanted to do was tear the clothes off of each other. So that is exactly what they did.

It was a hell of a night mixed with a whole lot of passionate and wild love making and before long, morning rolled around.

The sunlight cracked into the room through the little space between the curtain and the big window.

The bed felt weirdly unfamiliar to her. She tossed and turned and then finally, Jennifer's eyes split open.

This was not her bed. Heck, this was not her room or her house. And why was she lying next to a strange man?

It all came back to her in a splitting headache. She winced in pain as she put her hand to her head and her little wince stirred the handsome man next to her and he opened his eyes.

"Good morning sexy." He said in a sleepy voice.

"Who are you and why am I here?" She asked very warily.

"You were my companion for the night, sexy girl. You did good, don't worry." He said as he sat up and reached for her.

Holding the duvet to her body, she stood up quickly and began to scramble around, looking for her clothes.

"Oh no, baby girl. There is no need to hide your body, I already saw everything last night. Also, before you leave, there are a couple thousand dollars in that drawer. Take some for your trouble." He said as he pointed to the bedside drawer and gave her a coy smile.

At that moment, Jennifer had had enough and was ready to leave him. After she had assembled her outfit back together, she turned to him.

"What the hell? I don't know who you think you are but you have no right to talk to me like that just because we had a one-night stand. I do not even know your name." She said angrily and began to walk towards the door.

"My name is Dwayne," He said with an annoying calmness.

"I don't freaking care." She replied without even turning back and flicked him a middle finger.

She quickly made her way down the long flight of stairs and headed out of the huge house.

As soon as she burst out the door, the chilly air hit her hard and she drew her jacket closer to her body. She brushed her hair back, made her way back to the main road and called a taxi to take her to her apartment.
