New venture. New rules. New royals.
A soft golden morning bathed the marbled interiors of The Singhania Royale. At the top floor, behind a hand-carved wooden double door marked "Founders' Private Conference", history was about to be made.
A long glass table reflected the dazzling chandelier above. Luxurious leather chairs were arranged with precision. Each seat had a black matte folder embossed in gold:
"Toast of Royals – Board of Directors Formation"
At the head of the table sat Trisha Singhania, in a slate grey pantsuit, her watch ticking in rhythm with the moment. To her right, Reeva Khanna, dressed in a deep wine-colored suit, her hair tied in a slick low bun, radiated composed authority.
Two queens. One vision.
BOD Members Enter
One by one, the handpicked new Board Members entered the room:
Zoya Mehra – Chief Brand Strategist
A global name in luxury hospitality branding. Known for reinventing India's top boutique hotels. Elegant, sharp, and famously opinionated.
Kiaan Bhargava – Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
A Harvard-grad finance wizard with stints at LVMH and Oberoi Group. Calm, precise, always in black.
Rhea Iyer – Creative & Interior Design Head
A Milan-trained spatial artist who made waves with her regal-modern fusion in heritage properties. Bohemian-chic with a brutal honesty.
Aarav Chopra – Head of Culinary & Experience
Michelin-trained chef turned culinary director. His role? To craft the soul of Toast of Royals through food, scent, mood, and music.
Sasha Baloch – Legal Advisor
The sharp, ever-poised legal mind behind Khanna Enterprises, she'd now be the joint venture's legal anchor. Sleek in black and always carrying two phones.
Tanvi Rao – Personal Assistant to Ms. Singhania
Highly efficient, loyal, discreet. Tanvi didn't speak unless asked — but when she did, everyone listened.
Meeting Begins
Trisha (firm, yet warm):
"This isn't just a restaurant. It's a living, breathing dynasty of taste, heritage, and experience. We're not building a business. We're curating a realm."
Reeva (coolly):
"'Toast of Royals' isn't about old luxury. It's about evolving it — elite service with modern soul. This board will shape that."
Discussion Highlights
Zoya:
"Brand tone? Think: royalty without rigidity. Elegance without intimidation. Luxe, but conversational."
Kiaan:
"Preliminary projections, assuming a phased launch, estimate ₹90-₹120 crore annual revenue within 18 months if we maintain service fidelity."
Rhea:
"I want the design to whisper royalty, not scream it. Earthy marble, soft velvet, Jaipur heritage with Scandinavian minimalism."
Aarav:
"The menu will be pan-Indian luxe, but I want surprise touches. Like a rose-gulkand butter, or saffron aioli. Guests should talk about us days later."
Sasha (placing a binder):
"Your BOD contract outlines role-based voting power. Both founders hold 40% each. Remaining 20% split evenly among the department heads. Any deadlocks? Final say rests with Trisha or Reeva — whichever holds operational control at that time."
Tanvi (quietly sliding a tab):
"Digital rollouts, launch events, press teasers — I've created a synced calendar for the next 90 days. Awaiting sign-off."
Trisha and Reeva exchanged a satisfied look. No overtalking. No posturing. Just power and purpose.
The Signing
Each member signed the golden-sheet BOD contract. Once done, Sasha closed the binder.
Sasha:
"Congratulations. Toast of Royals now officially has its Founders' Circle."
Trisha turned to Reeva. "Welcome to the era of our empire, Ms. Khanna."
Reeva smiled. "Let's make history, Ms. Singhania."
They clinked their coffee glasses. No champagne — that was for the launch.
