Chapter 25 - Swipe Right on Goodbye

Next Morning – Singhania Neev Penthouse, Udaipur | Breakfast Table

The dining table was unusually quiet for a house filled with four strong personalities. Plates were filled, coffee was poured, but no one touched a thing. The clinking of cutlery was absent—only the heavy silence and faint sound of birds outside lingered.

Trisha sat at the head of the table, eyes flickering between her untouched toast and Reeva, who sat diagonally opposite her, arms folded, eyes hard.

Tanvi and Yashika sat side by side, silent as statues. The storm wasn't theirs—but they were in the eye of it anyway.

Trisha (finally breaking the silence):"Reeva… I—can we talk?"

Reeva (without looking up, cutting her off coldly):"Don't. Just… don't. I don't want to talk to you."

Trisha (trying again):"Reeves, listen to me—"

Reeva (snapping, eyes blazing):"Don't 'Reeves' me! Shut the fuck up, Trisha."

Tanvi winced. Yashika stopped chewing mid-bite.

Trisha (voice controlled but starting to crack):"Will you just listen to me for once?"

Reeva (slamming her hand on the table):"Why should I? Huh? Give me one fucking reason!"

Trisha (leaning forward, trying to keep her voice steady):"We agreed—no strings attached. That was the rule from the start—"

Reeva (interrupting, almost shouting now):"Yes, we did. But I fell anyway. I fucking fell for you. And you… you're out here matching on Tinder like none of this ever meant anything."

Trisha:"I didn't even remember I had the damn app—"

Reeva:"That's not the point, Trisha! The point is while I was loving you, you were busy keeping options open! You always had one foot out the door!"

Trisha (raising her voice now too):"Because I didn't know this was turning into something real! You didn't say anything until last night!"

Reeva (voice shaking):"Yeah well, I said it. I fucking said it. And you froze like I just handed you a bomb."

Trisha (quieter now, guilt creeping in):"I panicked."

Reeva:"Yeah? Well I'm done panicking over people who treat me like I'm replaceable."

Trisha (softly):"You're not replaceable, Reeva."

Reeva (cold as steel):"Too late for that. You made your choice. Go swipe right. Go chase whatever pussy lights up your screen."

Trisha:"Reeva—please—"

Reeva (firm, final):"From now on, we're professional. That's it. Don't come to me for anything personal. You lost that right."

Trisha sat frozen, her jaw clenched. Across the table, Reeva's eyes were glassy but defiant. She meant every word.

Tanvi and Yashika didn't say a thing. Didn't eat. Didn't breathe too loud. They knew the fallout of a real heartbreak when they saw it.

No one touched their breakfast.
