Houtkooperl University of Iceland 33 Abstract. Three items on personal psychic experiences (clairvoyance, telepathy and con tact with the dead) were in cluded in a su rvey on human values which was con ducted on large representative samples in 13 countries in Europe and in the USA (N=48.607). The percentage of persons reporting these experiences in B.irope were 34% reporting telepathy, 21% clairvoyance and 25% contact with the dead. Percentages for USA were considerably higher. Sixty percent of Americans and Italians reported some psychic experience andonly 24percentsof Norwegians.
