It is exactly 1 year and a half since the end of the 23rd Budokai Tenkaichi Tournament as well as the climatic battle between Son Goku and Piccolo Jr; the spawn of Demon King Piccolo. Everything and everyone was back to their normal lives, going about their days in peace; all were seemingly calm. Son and Chichi got married a month after the tournament with Goku seemingly blending in perfectly with his married life. Krillin went back to Master Roshi's island to freeloa.. I mean train, while Tien Shinhan along with Chiaotzu went to the mountains to train with Launch surprisingly tagging along with them. Piccolo on the other hand was an anomaly. After the tournament he disappeared to Kami knows where, seemingly plotting and training to defeat Goku once again and according to him rule this planet.
Yes everyone was happy for once, except for our star of this story Yamcha the former desert bandit and Turtle School Martial artist, now famous baseball champion. Yamcha had everything fame, money and recognition, however all this was a big sham to cover up his failures as a man and a martial artist, creating a deep seated rage within him full of self hatred.
Yamcha scores another win for his team the titans, winning each game thsnks to his super human speed and strength acquired from his martial arts training.
"Another win eh?" he says; "This is what I wanted right? I have everything now, but why does it all feel like a lie. Maybe I should visit Bulma, I can take her out on a date to a fancy restaurant, it's been a while since we spent time together; I should get some flowers too" he finishes as he stops by a flower shop and grabs a bouquet that will suit her. He then flies off to capsule Corp, thoughts of Bulma on his mind the only woman he has ever loved.
