Chapter 5 - Demonblood Surge Pill

Lin Xian's body emitted an incredibly strong qi aura. It even forced Mu Tianzheng to step back. It shocked Mu Tianzheng. His eyes widened—no one had ever done this to him before.

"What's going on?" Mu Tianzheng looked confused.

Lin Xian stood up. He did a slight stretch. The pain he had felt disappeared. Not because he had healed, but due to the effect of the Demonblood Surge Pill. It removed all pain.

"Ah, so this is what it feels like to be stronger." He could feel qi constantly being absorbed into his body. "If I were this strong back then, I wouldn't have been defeated by that disgusting woman."

Lin Xian looked at Mu Tianzheng who was standing with a puzzled expression. He could feel Lin Xian's qi was stronger than his. It was too unbelievable. Lin Xian was only a 14-year-old boy. This should have never happened.

"What did you take?" he asked, full of curiosity.

Lin Xian only smiled. "That's none of your business. This time, I will defeat you."

He gripped his sword. Then he ran very fast. In just one second, he appeared in front of Mu Tianzheng.

One incredibly fast slash. Mu Tianzheng blocked the slash with one hand. His body was pushed down. The floor beneath him cracked from the pressure of Lin Xian's attack.

"What kind of strength is this? He... is almost equal to me." Mu Tianzheng couldn't hide his shock.

He pushed himself upward. Lin Xian was pushed back. He looked like he had lost his balance. Mu Tianzheng took advantage of that and delivered a punch using the Flame Mist Punch technique.

He was confident that he had landed the blow on Lin Xian, but to his surprise, Lin Xian dodged the punch. He reappeared behind Mu Tianzheng in a flash.

"Huh? Since when?" Mu Tianzheng was shocked.

He turned around. It was already too late for him to block Lin Xian's attack. One slash hit right on Mu Tianzheng's neck. However, his neck was not cut off.

He had already prepared a powerful punch aimed at Lin Xian's ribs. The punch landed, and Lin Xian's body was thrown upward. He hit the ceiling and fell down afterward.

Lin Xian stood up, holding his chest. His ribs were broken again. He was indeed thirty times stronger, but his body remained the same. He was still Lin Xian.

"Who are you really?" asked Mu Tianzheng, squinting at Lin Xian. "It's impossible for Lin Xian to be this strong. He's just trash."

Mu Tianzheng raised his hand after feeling his neck. Lin Xian's slash hadn't severed Mu Tianzheng's neck, but it had injured him. His Indestructible Flesh Art technique had been penetrated. That technique was Mu Tianzheng's best and most respected technique.

Strangely, his prideful technique had been penetrated by a 14-year-old boy.

"There's no time to explain. You must be defeated here, Mu Tianzheng," said Lin Xian.

Without further words, he ran straight toward Mu Tianzheng. The fight continued. Both of them exchanged blows at high speed. Lin Xian's sword skills were above average for a sword cultivator. He had been called trash due to his broken dantian. But mentally, he was a genius.

Even now, with power nearly equal to Mu Tianzheng, he managed to match him. Slowly, he began to pressure Mu Tianzheng with his sword skills.

"You put too much faith in your talent, Senior Tianzheng. That's what's held back your growth, and why you're still only a teacher for the inner disciples. You'll never become an elder of the Misty Sky Sect. You're unworthy," mocked Lin Xian.

Mu Tianzheng became very angry. "You little bastard, I'll kill you. I swear it!" he shouted.

Qi surged from his body. His attacks became more powerful and brutal, but that was exactly what Lin Xian wanted. He dodged attack after attack, mocking Mu Tianzheng repeatedly. Making Mu Tianzheng lose focus. That would create an opening sooner or later.

Mu Tianzheng smiled. "Got you now, you little bastard."

He then launched his flame punch. The blow landed on Lin Xian's head. Lin Xian's head shattered, but a few seconds later, Lin Xian's body twisted and vanished. Mu Tianzheng's eyes widened—he had been tricked by Lin Xian. He had fallen into an illusion. He knew Lin Xian was behind him, but at the same time, he couldn't do anything. Mu Tianzheng was at a dead end.

"Damn it."

Lin Xian slashed again. The same direction as before. This time with even more qi. This would be the end for Mu Tianzheng. Both of them thought so.

But fate said otherwise. Suddenly Lin Xian's movements stopped. His entire body froze, unable to move at all. His body had reached its limit after the effect of the Demonblood Surge Pill wore off. Lin Xian had no more chance. Mu Tianzheng rose. He stood with a cold expression.

"You're incredible, boy. But that's still not enough to defeat me," he said.

He raised his hand. Mu Tianzheng was about to end the fight. Victory was already his 100%, but mentally, he had lost. A victory that felt like a defeat. If Lin Xian had just a few more seconds, then he would've been the one to win.

"You're finished," said Mu Tianzheng.

The punch almost hit Lin Xian's head. But once again, it was stopped—by Lin Huangzi. Mu Tianzheng turned, his gaze sharp. Their eyes met. Mu Tianzheng pulled his hand back. He clenched his fist, intending to fight Lin Huangzi, but when he looked around—it wasn't a wise choice.

"You're still going to kill my son?" asked Lin Huangzi with a sharp glare.

Behind him were several outer disciple teachers. That put Mu Tianzheng in a bad position. He glanced at the two people behind Lin Huangzi. Mu Tianzheng turned his body and left. He didn't answer the question. He chose to walk away.

"Answer me, Tianzheng!" Lin Huangzi snapped.

His aura surged violently. The floor shook hard. That aura nearly knocked Mu Tianzheng and the two teachers behind him to the ground. This was the first time Mu Tianzheng felt such pressure. He didn't expect Lin Huangzi to be this powerful.

"None of your business." Mu Tianzheng still walked away.

He left with a heavy body. Lin Huangzi wanted to chase Mu Tianzheng, but at that moment Lin Xian collapsed. That made him cancel the pursuit. He hugged Lin Xian's body and carried him. Lin Xian was seen as trash, but he was still Lin Huangzi's son. He loved his son.

"Forgive me for coming late, son. There was a meeting in the main hall," said Lin Huangzi.

"It's okey, Father."
