Chapter 1 - Just Level 1 Medley

Spoiler alert

Note: when I say Agra has an autism condition, I picture doctor Murphy from the movie *The Good Doctor*

FirstWorld!

The night sky was dark and gloomy, with the rain droplets kissing the earth as if an apocalypse has finally visted the FirstWorld.

This was accompanied by the loud roars of thunder across the black clouds, with a blinding lines of lightening zapping across the sky at a violence pulse.

In that brief moment of lightening, a pixel image of a young sixteen years old boy could be seen zigzagging across the dark forest in a speed beyond human capabilities.

If he was a human, one could marvel at his speed as a supernatural gift, a superspeed and an ability of the sort, but this was just his top natural speed as the boy isn't any human.

He is a medley, a race that commands absolutely power and respect. But looking at the running boy, he was a complete opposite of who he was meant to be.

He had a weak body frame with a height of 5"11. He had beautiful blue eyes with a delicate eyebrows and a curly black hair that made him to look nothing less than a clown.

There was a tattoo like figure number 1 on his left hand, the outer upper space between the thumb and the index finger. And the number wasn't just any ordinary.

It's called a thew, and every medley has it as it determines just how strong one is.

They are not just tattooed there, no. Every medley is given birth with it and it appears at different parts of their body. And when they turn at a certain age, varying, they would awaken a special cell within them known as the Fluxed Cells(fc), which would enable them to channel a special energy known as the fluxed energy(fe), some sort of a supernatural gift, that would always be based on the child's father bloodline.

Unfortunately, even being a medley, a race next to a god, they can only channel one kind of FE attribut.

Usually, FE are based around one attribute. That's why it was always important for a lady to look where she marries as the child would always inherit the father's Fe.

Like let's say. If one gets transformability as their Fe, they would only be able to acquire other skills that were related to this attribute. And if someone obtained fire as their attribute, they could solely dedicate themselves into gathering skills that the attribute fire could utilize.

Now, when the fc awakens, its up to the individuals to cultivate their fc, and in turn, the thew on their body would rank up, meaning that one is getting stronger.

The thew would always equal one's physical attributes and fc, which in turns determines just how strong one's fe is, and their overall strength and capability.

Unfortunately for Agra, the running boy, he had never awakened his fc even at the age of sixteen. That's why his thew had stuck at level 1, while his colleagues have a reading of upto twenty thew mark.

This makes him the weakest of all Medleys in the FirstWorld, and to worsen it up, he even suffers from a condition that only human would.

Medleys are ment to be strong, warriors that could bring down a dragon with a single blow, and seeing Agra suffering from a human condition like autism, this just made him the laughing stock around the FirstWorld, and certainly an easy target for bullying, which has literally been the story of his life.

Like for instance, right now, it wasn't like Agra was running because he was practicing, no. He was running for his life as he knew there was just no way his life would be spared, not after what he had just witnessed.

Chasing after him were five more Medleys bonded by blood ritual under a title known as the Clique.

A full house clique has a total of twelve plus one members with each individual representing one of twelve attributes; Earth, Water, Wind, Fire, Lightning, Ice, Force, Time, Wood Sound, Light and Moon.

All of this five Medleys had one thing in common, they knew they must kill Agra at any cost or their lives in the FirstWorld would be ruined.

Their clique has committed a crime beyond forgive, and the only way of keeping what they have done in the dark was to eliminate the last witnesses, who happened to be Agra.

Gritting her teeth, a girl among them stomped her fit on the ground and right below her feet, a sonic wave of flames was created that propelled her up in the air.

She then spun her body while in the air and the same time performing an axe kick aiming at Agra who was a distance away and out range of the kick. But before she completed her spun, another sonic wave of flames was created from her kick that was launched at Agra at a bullent besting speed.

The attack was fist and sudden, and since Agra didn't have eyes on his back to notice the coming attack, he was caught completely off guarded as he had no away of avoiding the sonic wave of flames.

As the flames hit him, his body was lifted into the air and sent flying forward and forcing him to hug a trunk of a tree that broke due to the impact and forcing Agra to cough our a mouthful of blood.

"You really shouldn't have been there, Agra, you shouldn't." The girl, who seemed to, at least, be the leader of the crew spoke while using the back of her hand to wipe off her nose.

"You... Ki_lled..! She didn't do anything... You ki_lled her." Agra spoke, struggling to speak due to his condition, while turning around to face his attacker.

"Well you shouldn't have seen what you saw!" The girl shouted back, her voice almost destroying Agra's eardrums.

"You killed her." Agra responded, tensed as he sat, hugged his legs tight and started rocking back and forth. "She didn't do anything. You killed her." He spoke with his eyes locked on the ground.

That's just one thing about Agra, he exhibits a unique communication style shaped by his autism spectrum disorder. His speech tends to be direct, precise, and often lacks conventional social filters.

He struggles with understanding sarcasm, metaphors, and implicit social cues, which makes his interactions seem blunt or overly literal. Additionally, he often maintains minimal eye contact and has a monotone or rigid vocal delivery, reflecting his difficulty with emotional expression in

"Just kill him already and get over with it. Jim and others are waiting!" A boy spoke from behind the girl.

She didn't wait to be told twice as she spread her palm out and summon a gold flame on her right hand.

The flames were so fierce that even the rain droplets seemed to be avoiding them. And since she understood the assignment, she slowly took her flaming hand towards Agra who had not lift his face even once, ready to burn him off the existence.

But suddenly, something felt off that forced her to pause for a moment while wondering what was happening. One second, she was shivering under the cold embrace of the midnight rain, surrounded by dense, whispering trees. The next, the world had unraveled.

The forest had vanished.

The rain had stopped.

The silence was suffocating.

The group of teenagers exchanged glances, their breath hitching in their throats.

They stood now on a jagged, windswept island, waves crashing violently against its cliffs. No stars, no moon, only an eerie red glow pulsing from deep within the land, then the air shifted.

The whisper of the wind was replaced by something else. A pulse. A heartbeat—no, *not theirs*. It thumped beneath their feet, deep in the bones of the island like the earth itself was alive.

A hissing sound, sharp and guttural, scraped against the stillness as if something was watching from the abyss.

A shadow slithered along the rocks, too fast to track, too unnatural to name. The air thickened, charged with something ancient and hungry.

Then the ground trembled, forcing the melody of bones hitting each other to echo in the air. They were scattered, cracked, some still clutching at the ground like they had died begging.

She took a step back from Agra with her heart beating faster, threatening to rip off her chast with fear written allover her entire aura

"No! No! No!" She muttered while observing her surroundings. "We shouldn't be here!" She spoke as she understood clearly where they were, especially with everything around the island screaming nothing but death.
