Chapter 9 - 9. Preparation for Cup

When the referee blew the whistle, all the Indian players lay on the grass. In such a high-intensity game, the Indian players physical strength could no longer keep up, and they had to rely on willpower.

Neil was not only worried about the players physical fitness, but he eventually defeated his opponents. With one win and one loss in two games, this result is definitely acceptable.

Although it was just a friendly match, all the Indian players were celebrating happily. Neil was also happy for the victory in this game because the "first win" mission was accomplished.

Sure enough, a reminder sounded in Neil's mind again:

"Congratulations to the user for completing the task: First win

Mission Description: Complete the first victory after coaching the Indian National Youth Team

Reward: 200 points, intermediate scout card"

Before he knew it, Neil already had 300 points, and he also got an intermediate scout card, which was a very generous reward. Neil had already thought about the points, and he planned to buy a triple training card.

Because the Evolution Cup will be here soon, Neil hopes that the players can grow faster.

As for the intermediate scout card, Neil has already thought about it. The previous Akash Tirkey was too young, so this time Neil still plans to choose the midfield organization type.

"Choose the midfield organization type." Neil made a decisive choice.

"Ding Dong! Does the user want to view the player information?"

"Check it out for sure."

Neil was very surprised after seeing the player's information, because Neil first looked at his potential and ability. His potential was only 1 point away from 80 points. He had 79 points of talent and 63 points of ability.

Then Neil looked at his attributes again and was amazed once again.

The player's name is Anirudh Thapa. He is from Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He is 1.80 meters tall and is currently in the Chennaiyan FC team. He was born on March 9, 1997. Seeing Thapa's age, Neil breathed a sigh of relief.

Thapa is a midfielder. He is a right-footed player. He has a four-star weak foot, which makes him almost a two-footed player. He also has four-star fancy moves.

In terms of attributes, Thapa has 76 points of speed, 81 points of balance, 82 points of reaction, and 72 points of strength. As for technical attributes, although they are still low, they are very average.

68 points for dribbling, 66 points for ball control, 67 points for long pass and 70 points for short pass. Although his shooting is only 53 points and his long-range shot is only 61 points, Thapa has the characteristics of a long-range heavy artillery.

In terms of defensive attributes, with 52 points in interception, 51 points in defensive awareness, 58 points in steals and 59 points in tackles, Thapa is a very versatile midfielder.

Thapa's attributes are that of a hexagonal warrior. The first thing that came to Neil's mind was "B2B midfielder".

"B2B midfielder" is also known as the all-around midfielder. The playing area of the "B2B midfielder" can be from its own penalty area to the opponent's penalty area. The representative figure among them is Yaya Touré and nowadays Pedri of Barcelona.

This player can just solve the dilemma of the Indian National Youth Team's weak midfield.

Neil knew that his brother Harshad had gone to Germany to meet with Cartman for the affairs of his agency. In order to help Harshad, Neil went to Germany before returning to India.

At the same time, he recommended five players to Harshad, including Kevin Gomez, Anirudh Thapa, Sumit Adhikari, Rohit Ramesh and Akash Tirkey, and Neil himself also signed them to Harshad.

After returning to India, with the help of Neil, Harshad successfully signed these five players. Harshad was very excited to see so many people signed. He did not expect that the agency had only been established for a short time and it already had so many people under its management.

When Neil was Jamshedpur FC, although his salary was not high, he had been there for a while and had some savings. After thinking about it, Neil decided to support his younger brother and invested in Harshad's agency.

The Evolution Cup is getting closer and closer.

The squad decided for the cup by Neil is:

Goalkeepers: Vishal Keith (AIFF Elite), Rohit Ramesh (East Bengal), Aarush Raju Hari(Reliance Foundation)

Defenders: Thokchom Malemngamba Singh (Chennaiyan FC), Brahmacharimayum Sumit Sharma (Classic FA), Sumit Adhikari (Bengaluru FC), Subhashish Bose (Churchill Brothers), Takhellambam Bungson Singh (Classic FA), Thangjam Roshan Singh (Classic FA), Mohammed Kaif (Diamond Harbour),

Midfielders: Gurnaj Singh Grewal (East Bengal), Danny Meitei (NorthEast UTD), MD Arbash (Classic FA), Ahongshangbam Samson (Classic FA), Yohaan Benjamin (Shillong Lajong), Hemneichung Lunkim (Delhi), Rohan Singh (Alchemy Inter), Singamayum Sharma (Punjab), Ishaan Shishodia (Mumbai City), Mahmad Sami (Sudeva Delhi), Anirudh Thapa (Chennaiyan FC)

Forwards: Kevin Gomez (FC GOA), Omang Dadum (Punjab)

Compared with the previous roster, only a single change took place, which was Anirudh Thapa was added into the list in place of someone else.

This time the Evolution Cup will be broadcast live, and the first match against the New Zealand National Youth Team on June 4 can only be watched online.

The match against the Croatian National Youth Team on June 6 and the match against the Brazilian National Youth Team on June 8 will both be broadcast live on Stark Sports Channel.

After the two warm-up matches, Neil trained twice. For this Evolution Cup, Neil specially spent 60 points and bought two triple training efficiency cards. As a result, Neil only had 24 points left.

After using the triple training efficiency card, one training session is equivalent to three training sessions. Neil couldn't help but sigh that the effect is really good.

But Neil also had to regret that there were too few training grids. Because Anirudh Thapa had such high potential, he also needed training. Neil was very conflicted about who to replace. First of all, although goalkeeper Rohit Ramesh had low potential, His ability was too low and he must be trained.

As forward Kevin Gomez has such great potential, Neil was reluctant to replace him. In desperation, Neil could only replace Sumit Adhikari's "Precision Dribbling" project, which is the only training project that can train strength, and chose to train Gomez's "Advanced Defensive Scenarios".

First of all, goalkeeper Rohit Ramesh's flying save increased to 60 points, goalkeeper positioning increased to 59 points, reaction ability increased to 58 points, and Ding Zheng's ability points directly increased to 57 points.

Then there is the central defender Sumit Adhikari, whose interception points increased to 58 points, defensive awareness increased to 60 points, steals increased to 60 points, and tackles increased to 59 points. Adhikari's ability increased to 57 points.

Next is midfielder Anirudh Thapa, whose interception points increased to 57 points, defensive awareness increased to 57 points, steals increased to 62 points, and tackles increased to 63 points. Unfortunately, defensive training does not improve ability much, so Thapa still has an ability of 63 points.

Finally, it is forward Kevin Gomez, whose ball control increased to 61 points, dribbling increased to 62 points, agility increased to 73 points, speed increased to 76 points, volley increased to 64 points, shot increased to 72 points, header increased to 71 points, and long shot increased to 70 points.

After these two training sessions, Gomez's overall data improved a lot. Many of them were over 70, and his strength also automatically increased by 1 point to 82 points. Finally, Gomez's overall ability increased to 65 points.
