About the Story

Rise of Dragon Bloodborne follows the journey of three boys—Ethan, Nick, and Asher—who bear the ancient legacy of the Dragon Bloodborne. Their blood is infused with the primal essence of elemental dragons, granting them powers that set them apart from ordinary humans. These powers, however, come with a cost—responsibility, persecution, and a fate tied to an ancient prophecy.

The world is healing from a devastating war that occurred generations ago, where dragons, corrupted by madness and power, turned against all life. It was not a war of man against dragon—it was a war fought by both humans and Dragon Bloodbornes together against the dragons that had lost their minds to chaos.

Yet, peace has never truly returned.

While the dragons now slumber or have been driven into hiding, tensions between humans and Dragon Bloodbornes have festered. Many humans blame the Dragon Bloodbornes for the devastation, believing them to be too close to the very monsters they helped defeat. To some, they are guardians. To others, traitors.

And worse still—the dragons stir once more.

A new threat rises, not from a single enemy, but from the awakening of the primal dragon essence buried deep within the world. Prophecies speak of an approaching reckoning, and only those awakened to their true essence may be able to stand against it.

The World

The world of Dragon Bloodborne is one of fractured alliances and ancient powers. Floating isles, hidden ruins, deep caverns filled with echoing magic, and nations built around Essence Nodes define the geography. From crystal-laced mountain peaks to enchanted forests whispering with sentient flora, every region resonates with the echoes of a forgotten war.

Essence flows invisibly through the land—an omnipresent force tied to life, elements, and the very soul. It shapes magic, birthrights, and the potential of all beings.

Essence & Magic

Essence is the raw life force that fuels all magic and power in the world. It exists in all living things, but Dragon Bloodbornes possess a unique, condensed version known as Dragon Essence, a fusion of elemental origin and draconic legacy.

Essence Types:

Basic Essence – The natural flow found in all creatures.

Elemental Essence – Aligned with elements like fire, wind, lightning, water, earth, shadow, and light and more

Essence – Found only in Dragon Bloodbornes. Wild, potent, and semi-sentient, it grants unique abilities and instincts.

Mystic Essence – Rare. Tied to forgotten elements or spiritual dimensions.

Mana: used by humans

Essence Abilities:

Elemental manipulation

Body enhancement

Magic casting

Soul binding

Beast empathy

The more attuned one is to their essence, the more refined and powerful their abilities become.

Awakening

Awakening is a sacred transformation. It occurs when a Dragon Bloodborne connects deeply with their elemental essence, aligning their soul, spirit, and instinct with the primal forces that birthed their bloodline. It is not just gaining power—it is becoming one with their element.

Awakening:

Resonance – The element fills them and grants them true power

Fusion – Body and essence become one. Abilities increase exponentially, and features (such as glowing marks, eyes, or aura changes) may manifest.

Aspect Manifestation – The user embodies a partial form of their element and has more control over there elements.

Eye of the Elements: when awakened the user unlocks the ability to see through what natural eyes perceive.

Awakening is often triggered by intense emotional events, near-death experiences, or through sacred rituals.

The Elemental Guides

Elements are not just forces—they are sentient.

Each primary element has a Supreme Elemental Guide, an ancient being born at the beginning of the world. They guide, test, and sometimes bond with those chosen by fate.

Ignis, the Flame Sovereign – Guide of Fire.

Aeris, the Whispering Gale – Guide of Wind.

Voltrax, the Storm Seer – Guide of Lightning.

Umbra, the Shadow Veil – Guide of Shadow.

Lucen, the Radiant Echo – Guide of Light.

Gaelthorn, the Stone Father – Guide of Earth.

Neris, the Tidal Empress – Guide of Water.

They dwell within elemental planes or slumber beneath ancient shrines. Rarely do they speak—but when they do, destinies shift, the do not interfere with the matters of the world only if it threatening to the elements itself

Enchantment

Enchantment is the art of binding Essence into tools, weapons, armor, or even living things.

There are three branches:

Runic Enchantment – Carving symbols of power into items.

Essence Infusion – Pouring elemental essence into a weapon or armor.

Soul Enchantment – Binding a part of one's soul (or another's) into an object. Risky. Forbidden in most kingdoms.

Dragon Bloodborne weapons are always enchanted, not with mere spells, but with living essence. These weapons grow, evolve, and sometimes—awaken.

Ranks of Power

All beings—humans, dragons, mystical creatures, and Dragon Bloodbornes—progress through ranks of ascension.

Student – Initiate of essence. Can sense and manipulate essence minimally.

Mage – fully mastered there spells and perform basic elemental control.

Great Mage – Essence begins to mold around them naturally gaining control over the element

Arch Mage – Commands great elemental power and protected by the elements them selves

Supreme Blood Magnus – Rare. A Dragon Bloodborne who has undergone partial or full awakening and fully manifest there bloodline abilities

Guardian – Elite protectors chosen by the Elemental Guides or ancient pacts. Beyond mortal limits but non has ever ascended to this rank

Some believe there exists a hidden rank above Guardian—Element-Born, those who become avatars of their element. But none are confirmed.

This ranks are different in other creatures

Soul Trials

At certain points in their journey, Dragon Bloodbornes are called to undergo a Soul Trial—a metaphysical test where their greatest fears, flaws, and truths confront them. Success brings power. Failure… sometimes death.

Essence Bonding

This occurs when a Dragon Bloodborne forms a link with a beast or another person. This bond shares power, emotions, and sometimes even thoughts. The three boys' connection with their elemental wolf cubs is the first stage of this.

Evolution of Creatures

Dragons, mystical beasts, and some humans can ascend through exposure to essence, battles, . These evolutions enhance their forms, minds, and power.

This world is still growing. Conflicts burn. Secrets wait. And soon… the three boys will awaken.

When they do, the world will remember what it means to fear—and to hope—for those born of dragons.
