From night till dawn, Damien's body was left at Penn Station close to his death with his chest with a gushing hole. One of the lieutenant's minion saw Damien's body and rushed him to their base. Spawn was bull rushing to a library by Washington street, and the library was closed. Spawn got the lieutenant off his back and slam his back on the gaited door. He told him "Ok little maggot, since I'm semi in a bad mood, I'll try to be as nonpatient as possible with you." Lieutenant "Don't you mean as patien-" Spawn punched a hole next to his face. "Mother fucka did I tell you to speak?! I don't think so. Now as I was saying, since you guys own the whole city, you're going to help me pry this door open." Lieutenant "But Spawn, this is a library, there's no way we can get inside." Spawn "Every heard of breaking and entry?" Lieutenant "But that's illegal!" Spawn "Oooo buddy, you must not know bout me." Spawn punched another hole in the gate, and ripped it off the door. Then he proceed to kick the door down and picked the Lieutenant up to carry on his back.
Spawn looked around and jump to the second floor to the computer room. To his luck, the computer room door was left unlocked. Spawn "Huh, somebody got lazy with their job." Lieutenant "Don't they know the number one rule of shutting it down is to start from the top to bottom?" Spawn looked at him, confused. Spawn "Who are you, a janitor?" Lieutenant "Oh buddy, you must not know bout me." Spawn "Are you trying to be funny?" The Lieutenant was shaking in fear and respond "N... no sir!" Spawn "That's what I thought." Spawn gave him a chair to sit while he set shop on the computer. The Lieutenant saw Spawn's back was getting darker and darker by the minute, and he also started to see that his body was fading to total darkness. As Spawn turned the computer on, he had to put in a password. Spawn "Aaaa nuts, I don't even have a library password. As much as I visit one, I still don't have my own password." The Lieutenant "Use mine, my password is towelboyjosh29." Spawn raised an eyebrow. The Lieutenant "My name is Joshua, but you can call me Josh for short. I used to be the towel boy for my high school football team. I used to play running back until I suffered a concussion. I decided to retire from playing sports and join the army." Spawn "But joining the army is worse." Joshua "I know, but luckily I was very skilled in computers, so they left me off the hook. That's how I was ranked a lieutenant. From the look of your body, you're not a human, aren't you?" Spawn "I'm a god of light and darkness, I balance all of the light and dark energy in the world. I use it for my poems, short films, and movies. As you can see, your Queen Adagio stole my light and I'm trying to get it back. Sadly I'm running out of time so I'm in a hurry." Joshua "What are you looking for anyway?" Spawn "Answers about the sirens, I want to know how to defeat them." Joshua, "Well, it's actually one way." Spawn "Really? What is that?" Joshua "I'm going to get killed for this but fuck it. The only way you can defeat them is-" Out of nowhere, the girl in Adagio's crystal was in pain due to the darkness inside Adagio's heart, and her pain went right to Spawn. Spawn's body reacted to it, and he let out a loud grunt while clutching his heart. Joshua "Spawn are you ok?" Spawn "I don't know, felt like my heart felt someone's pain, but she's trapped." Joshua "Trapped? Like trapped in the closet?" Spawn "Sarcastic humor just like me, I like you already. But I don't like those guys staring at us." Joshua was confused and ask "Who?" Spawn point towards the door. Joshua "Oh, those guys." Spawn cracked his knuckles and took all of them out with ease, but Joshua saw how ultra-aggressive he was with his beatdowns. Spawn "Looks like we're on foot, come on!" He lifted Joshua on his back and ran right out the library. He was being maul down by hundreds of Spellbound minions trying to take them down. Spawn would dodge left and right just to avoid all of them. He was in the clear until one of the strongest minions ruined his parade. The strongest minion charged at him and try to knock him out of his path. Spawn dodged it in time and kept on going. The strongest minion was very persistent in stopping his trail. He charged at him left, right, up, down, even from the sky. Spawn was getting tired of his games. When he went on to punch the strongest minion who was charging straight at him, the minion grabbed Joshua instead. The minion and Spawn stopped at their pace and had a face off. Spawn was growing angrier by the minute. Joshua "Don't worry about me Spawn! Go find those girls and stop them!" The minion "Yea, you heard your boyfriend, go and try to stop those gir-" Spawn charged straight at him and punch his head clean right off. The minions surrounding Spawn had a shift of fear flowing through their body. Spawn let out a cricked smile and beat all of them out severely. Joshua was getting more and more scared of Spawn. Even one of the minion who was crawling away, Spawn walked in front of him. The minion was begging for his life saying please don't kill him. Spawn "You should of thought about that when you kidnapped my friend." Spawn flipped him over and ground pound him his head was busted open. He let out one last strike and let out a monstrous roar. His roar was so loud even the girls as the karaoke bar heard it.
Sonata "Hey you heard something?" Aria "Besides Adagio singing?" Sonata "No, it sounded like a monster." Aria laughed "Come on really, a monster? You sure his powers isn't messing with your head?" Sonata "Yea maybe you're right." Adagio was singing her lungs out, but the girl in her crystal gem was feeling sad. She started to develop a strong attachment to Spawn's light. But even the tiny sprite of his light was fading away. She was getting scared that he might be dying. She was even getting scared that he was too late to save them. She hold on to his light and said "I don't know who you are, but please, you have to keep going, don't give up!" Spawn felt his heart beat again, and he even heard voices. Spawn body was close to turning to pitch black. His body was so close to turning pitch black that he looked like he had blacked out. Joshua got close to him and touched Spawn's body. Spawn's aura was so thick that it cut Joshua's hand. Joshua "OUCH, man how sharp are you!?" Spawn "Sharper then jaws, come on, we're going to a Karaoke bar." 15 minutes of traveling, Stud and Marcus are trapped in the backroom of the Karaoke bar. The SB minions are torturing them by forcing them to convert to their side. But both of their mind are too powerful to do so. Adagio looked at the jar and saw Spawn's light completely disappeared. Adagio got a little frightened and asked "Hey, did any of you open the jar!?" Sonata "Nope, not ever since we tried to absorb his power." Aria "We were with you this whole time." Adagio "Well his light can't just poof away, so wear did it go?" Marcus "Stud you hear that?" Stud "Hear what?" Marcus "Spawn's light, it disappeared." Stud "You don't think he..." Marcus "No can't be, this is Spawn where talking about. No way he just up and dies like that." Stud "Yea but think of how long it's been since we last heard from him, who knows where he is now." One of the minions sensed something outside. "Hey, I feel a strange presence outside. I'm gonna go check it out." As the minion stepped outside, Spawn got him from behind and knocked him unconscious.
Spawn's body was now reaching peak blackout. He felt it consuming his mind, it was at any given moment he was about to blow. Spawn "Joshua, I don't have much time left before I blackout, but I need you to do me one huge favor." Joshua "What is it sir?" Spawn "When I barge in the Karaoke bar, I want you to look around for my friends and get them to safety. Their names are Marcus, and Stud. Can you do that for me?" Joshua "Yes, but are you going to... die?" Spawn "To be honest, I don't know." Joshua "Well, in case you do, even though I just met you, you are a very good frien- AAAAA" Joshua was snatched away by Damien. Spawn "JOSHUAAAAAAA!" The sirens heard Spawn's voice outside. Marcus and Stud was happy to hear his voice. Spawn was looking around for him, but as he looked behind him, he said the sirens. Adagio "Well well well, look who came out of hibernation." Aria "You seemed to be lighter when we last met you." Sonata "It seems like your light is burned out." Spawn "What did you do to Joshua, and what did you do to my friends..?" Adagio "Oh, you mean them?" Marcus and Stud was tossed to the ground battered and bruised, and Joshua was nowhere to be found. Spawn 'GUYS NO, I WAS TOO LATE!" Spawn got on his knees with saddness and anger in his heart. Adagio let out a evil laugh and walked towards Spawn. Spawn looked defeated, it looked like he given up. But his mood changed swiftly when he heard Damien's voice. Damien "Oooo Spawn, how many times I have to tell you, I'm always one step ahead of you. You can't beat us. No matter how much you try, how many friend's you make on the way, I will always be the thorn of your backside to take it all away. But maybe you should do like one of your poem said, 'know when to fight, know when to fright.' And it looks to me you look frightened. Since I'm a good sport. Let me just rip your heart out to put you out of your misery." When Damien walked towards Spawn, Damien was ready to penetrate his hand through Spawn's heart. But Spawn had the upper hand. Spawn caught Damien hand just in time and issued him a warning. "I'll give you one more chance before I blackout..." Damien "Blackout? Blackout? The only thing that's going to black out is your existence!" Damien reached for Spawn's heart, but Spawn counter it by punching his hand through Damien's chest, and grabbed his heart right outside his body. Everybody around him was scared, even bits of Damien's blood got on Adagio's face. Spawn took his arm and ripped the upper half of Damien's body off, he even squashed Damien's heart to finish off. Spawn gave a demon like look to Adagio's eyes, and boy was she trembling. She got so scared of Spawn she couldn't even move. Spawn let out a powerful monstrous roar and his body has now transformed into blackout. Black and red Aura was surfacing around him. White skulls and yellow lights was all over his jacket. Spawn let out a deep breath and place his two fingers across his head to relocate Joshua. With ease, he was able to summon him. Joshua was back, he was also frightened with Spawn's new form. He looked around and saw the siren girls he betrayed, and he saw his two friends who are knocked out. Spawn walked towards Joshua and teleported to his friends. He place his hands on both of their hearts to heal them. After he healed them, he let out a sigh of relief. Spawn "Guess I wasn't too late after all." Spawn looked at Joshua and gave him a head nod of what he need to do now. Joshua wasted no time and got his friend's out of harms way. Spawn "Now that is over with, let's begin where we left off." Adagio was still frozen in fear of Spawn, but a surge a anger was roaming around her crystal. Adagio "Girls, I got an idea, we been training our whole lives for this moment, hopefully our bodies can handle it." Can their bodies handle it? I wonder what she means by that.
