Chapter 3 - THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING

A circle that appeared suddenly had vanished just as quickly, and so did the sound. Altar and Kaya immediately began looking around and moved toward the direction of the sound. They found a note on the ground and looked at each other in surprise. The note read: "Come to the street opposite the park, two blocks ahead." After reading the note, they hesitated about whether to go or not. Kaya said, "I think we should go. We can see who it is, and maybe we can find the source of the sound." Altar agreed, and they set off toward the indicated place. As they walked, Altar tried to ease Kaya's worry by saying, "I know the way, it's very close to the academy." Less than an hour later, they arrived at the specified place. However, the surroundings were so silent that one could say not even a mouse was stirring. Then, the same sound they recorded earlier was heard again. This time, the sound was softer and calmer, and it was clear it was a woman's voice. Altar and Kaya turned toward the sound and froze. There was no visible source of the sound, yet it seemed to be right next to them. The voice told them to stay calm and listen to what it had to say. They were stunned and could only nod in silence. The voice then introduced itself: "I am Alya, a spirit from the other world, and the only reason I'm here is because of you."

Altar asked, "How?" while Kaya had more curious questions. "What kind of place is it? Are you dead?" Altar found the questions absurd, but Alya answered them all one by one. Altar wasn't happy to be there at this hour, and while he was telling Kaya this, Alya suddenly interrupted from right beside them. "Sorry, but I came here on my own will, unlike those silly videos you were making," she said, throwing a cryptic remark at them. She then explained that the reason she was there was due to a kind of portal that had opened as a result of their actions, and she wasn't alone. Kaya asked, "What do you mean, you're not alone?" Alya replied, "Besides me, you've released exactly 100 good and bad spirits, and you have one week to collect them." Then, with a grin, she added, "Your time has already started," and the voice cut off.
