In the aftermath of a brutal siege that marked the final victory in Beast King Alocer's war against humanity, General Jagón Venatus—a panther knight of the Elite King's Guard—received devastating news from home. His beloved wife Felicity had died in childbirth, and their newborn cub perished alongside her, leaving him shattered and alone with his two remaining cubs.

Consumed by grief and rage in the conquered human castle, Jagón discovered an abandoned human infant hidden in a secret chamber beneath the throne room. In his anguish, the knight's fury turned toward the helpless child—the offspring of the very species his king had sworn to destroy. As his anger built into painful rage, his wife's final words echoed in his mind, reminding him of the man she believed him to be.

At the moment when violence seemed inevitable, something extraordinary happened: the child's hand reached into his now opened maw, gently grasping hold of the panther's fang. The human looked away from, but doesn't release hold of, the fang he fancied and shifted his sight back to the knight's gaze with a look of utter awe mixed with intrigue.

The innocent gesture broke through Jagón's rage, and he remembered his wife's dying wish—not to honor her through violence, but through love and protection of their children. In a moment that will reshape both their destinies, the grieving panther knight made a choice that defied his king's genocide and his own bitter hatred.

The story begun with Jagón's quiet promise to the human child: Worry not, little one, your father is here. I have come to take you home, my little Aster.

And thus begun the journey of Aster Venatus, the last human and king of corpses, raised by the same beastmen who wiped out his people.

The plot is wonderful and has taken up way too much space in my brain for sometime now. It's high time I gave y'all a good read. That said, it's still subjected to criticism, you know—different people, different opinions.
