Before departing on their journey to the Galarc Kingdom, Jon and Sam stood before the Spiritfolk Village Elders—Dominic the Dwarf, Syldora the Elf, and Ursula the Foxkin. The atmosphere was heavy with unspoken concern. The elders had all sensed that something dark was stirring beyond their lands.
Syldora:
"Amanda in the Galarc Kingdom has long flirted with forces best left untouched. Tread carefully."
Dominic stepped forward and handed a small crystal pendant to Sam. It shimmered with a deep blue hue.
Dominic:
"This artifact is called the Veil of Men. It will mask your elven nature entirely, giving you the appearance, aura, and scent of a normal human."
Next, Ursula handed him a beautifully carved wooden talisman in the shape of a twin-spiraled circle.
Ursula:
"This is the Return Sigil. With a word, it will teleport you and Jon back to this village. Once per week. Use it wisely."
Sam nodded, humbled and grateful. He turned to Jon, who was already using his shapeshifting technique, altering his half-elf features into a flawless human appearance. His silver-white Targaryen hair dulled into a deep chestnut, his ethereal violet eyes shifted to a stormy grey.
Jon (calmly):
"We'll draw less attention this way. And fewer questions."
Nearby, Asha gently handed Jon a small pendant tied with her scent and the twins' hair—something to remember them by.
Asha (softly):
"Come back to me. Both of you."
Jon held her hand, kissed her forehead, and promised.
Jon:
