Arima awoke from a deep sleep. As he opened his eyes, he immediately channeled chakra to them, activating his three-tomoe Sharingan.
His vision sharpened dramatically. He could even detect the faint dance of dust particles in the air.
At that moment, Arima understood, his dynamic visual perception had been significantly enhanced.
This would allow him to fully maximize the advantages of the Flying Thunder God Technique in future battles.
However, when he attempted to deactivate his Sharingan and return his eyes to their normal state, he noticed something troubling.
The chakra flow around his eyes had become sluggish, as if it would take a moment to shut the Dojutsu down.
Arima quickly realized the reason.
He didn't possess the Uchiha clan's natural bloodline. His chakra flow around the eye region wasn't as nimble.
Curious, he accessed the system's exchange menu to see how much merit it would cost to obtain Uchiha bloodline. The result made him both excited and frustrated.
The system displayed that, since he already possessed Senju lineage, he could spend 1,000 virtue points to overwrite it with Uchiha bloodline.
However, doing so would replace the Senju bloodline entirely, along with his ability to use Wood Release. That would defeat the purpose entirely.
There was, however, a better option, fusing the two bloodlines.
But when Arima checked the cost, the system provided an astonishing revelation.
[Senju and Uchiha bloodlines share a common origin. Fusing two bloodlines of the same origin requires 3,000 virtue points.]
Arima was stunned. Two clans who had fought each other for millennia were actually of the same origin? Not even his grandfather or grand-uncle, the clan leaders, knew this.
He committed the information to memory, resolving to investigate it further in the future.
Arima then spent 4,000 virtue points to resolve all the post-transplantation issues related to his Sharingan.
Still, he couldn't help but feel a little regret, he was now left with only 960 virtue points.
But the effects of the fusion were immediate.
The discomfort in his eyes slowly faded.
He stood there quietly, feeling the power welling up from the depths of his newly altered bloodline.
His chakra reserves gradually increased, his body felt lighter, as though its natural limits had lifted, and he sensed a subtle, flowing energy circulating around him.
Upon closer examination, he realized that energy shared the same origin as the senjutsu chakra his grandfather used.
He guessed that his physique had become what his grandfather once described as the "Sage Body", a constitution highly attuned to natural energy.
He channeled chakra to his eyes again and noticed how smoothly it now flowed.
Moreover, his overall chakra circulation had improved by about 10 to 20 percent. This meant his jutsu would not only be faster but also stronger. It was an unexpected bonus.
Feeling the surging strength within him, Arima couldn't help but feel thrilled.
'This puts me at the level of an elite Jonin already,' he thought with pride.
To reach the elite Jonin level at only ten years old, such talent was unprecedented in the entire shinobi world.
He estimated the bloodline fusion process would continue for a few more hours, steadily increasing his chakra reserves.
Next, Arima walked slowly into the lab's bathing chamber and prepared a large pool of hot water.
He planned to soak for a few hours, thoroughly cleaning his body.
The next morning, as Tobirama made his way to the Hokage's office, he suddenly had a strange impulse and changed direction, heading for the underground lab instead.
There, he found the bed empty, but the sound of someone bathing came from nearby. He immediately understood, Arima had woken up.
Tobirama waited patiently in the lab, using the time to organize data from the transplant experiment.
He waited and waited, for over an hour, before Arima finally strolled out of the bath, leisurely as ever.
Even Tobirama, usually calm and composed, couldn't help but feel slightly irritated, though he had no outlet for his frustration.
Arima, shirtless, walked slowly into the room, humming a light tune while drying his hair with a towel.
Suddenly, he noticed someone else was in the room. Looking up, he saw it was Tobirama.
"Granduncle, don't you have office duties this morning?" he asked curiously.
"I've been waiting here for nearly two hours," Tobirama said coolly. "You sure took your time in that bath."
Arima knew his uncle's personality well. The more patient Tobirama appeared, the more impatient he actually was.
Scratching his head awkwardly, Arima chuckled.
"You won't believe it. My Senju blood seems to be fusing with the Uchiha bloodline. And also I hadn't had a bath for days so it took some time to clean myself."
Tobirama's interest was instantly piqued. "Come here. Let me examine you."
Arima obediently stepped forward and allowed Tobirama to conduct a full examination.
Over the next two hours, Tobirama meticulously checked every detail. What he discovered astonished him.
'Amazing... truly astonishing. Arima's cell activity has increased several fold compared to before the transplant.
He's more attuned to natural energy as well. This might be a rare case... Maybe soon he'll be able to learn Sage Mode from Shikkotsu Forest.'
Arima then voiced a question that had been on his mind.
"Granduncle, is there any deeper connection between the Senju and Uchiha clans?"
Had this been asked before, Tobirama would've answered, "We've been enemies for a thousand years, our feud is unending."
But now, observing Arima's condition, he had his doubts.
"It could be an atavism... Maybe our two clans really do share the same origin. Not that surprising, considering how persistent our conflicts have always been."
Then he asked, "How's your vision? Can you use those eyes naturally?"
"Like I was born with them," Arima replied.
"In that case, let's go to the training grounds. I'd like to see exactly where your strength stands."
Arima hesitated for a moment. His uncle's Flying Thunder God Technique was notoriously elusive. But this was also a chance to test his Sharingan's dynamic vision.
"Alright, Granduncle. I want to see just how powerful the Sharingan really is."
He quickly got dressed. In a flash, the two vanished from the lab and reappeared in the vast underground training arena.
They stood opposite each other, serious and alert.
In the first round, Tobirama remained purely on the defensive.
Arima activated his Sharingan and flicked several shuriken toward Tobirama's chest with a swift motion.
Tobirama responded in less than a second, forming the seals.
He unleashed the B-rank jutsu Water Formation Wall Jutsu to defend.
Before the shuriken could even reach him, a dragon-shaped surge of water slammed into the wall.
Arima had immediately followed his first attack with another, forming seals and releasing the B-rank Water Dragon Bullet Jutsu.
But this was Tobirama's specialty. He saw through the tactic instantly.
When the water dragon failed to gain ground, Arima shifted tactics.
He used Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu to create three clones, each launching a different elemental attack.
Earth Style: Earth Dragon Bomb!
Fire Style: Dragon Flame Bomb!
Wind Style: Vacuum Blade!
Combined, they formed a molten orb of searing white heat aimed straight at Tobirama.
Tobirama reacted swiftly, executing the S-rank Water Style: Water Dragon Biting Explosion, swallowing the scorching orb whole.
Just as he prepared for Arima's next move, he sensed a subtle disturbance beneath his feet, a green shoot rising from the ground.
While his clones attacked with their combined jutsu, Arima had simultaneously performed:
Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!
His control over Wood Release had become impressive, almost like a miniature version of Hashirama.
This jutsu posed a slight problem even for Tobirama. He knew from experience how dangerous his elder brother's ability could be. In the middle of that forest, vines could strike at any time.
He countered with the S-rank "Water Style: Hard Whirlpool Water Blade", reducing the mini forest to splinters.
After two rounds, the fight was still deadlocked.
Arima then decided to test his Sharingan's offensive power.
His hands moved like butterflies flitting through flowers. He quickly released the A-rank Fire Style: Dragon Flame Caterwaul.
Instantly, massive fire dragons erupted around him, all aiming for Tobirama. With Arima's chakra amplification, the jutsu neared S-rank levels in both scale and intensity.
The heat was so intense that Tobirama's hair began to singe.
As a master of Water Style techniques, many designed specifically to counter the Uchiha clan's fire, Tobirama wasn't caught off guard. But even he was impressed.
The fire's intensity rivaled Madara's.
What impressed him more was the precision and agility of the attack, amplified by the Sharingan.
Any average Jonin would've been overwhelmed, if not killed outright. But Tobirama responded in kind with the A-rank "Water Style: Great Waterfall Technique."
A massive surge of water flooded the arena, quenching the flames.
Their jutsu clash was so intense that the reinforced walls, strengthened with sealing arrays, began to crack. Any further and the entire underground facility might collapse.
Thus ended their exchange of large-scale techniques, with neither side gaining the upper hand.
Tobirama was thoroughly pleased. Arima's use of the Sharingan to enhance his Fire Style had increased both precision and lethality. It reminded Tobirama of Madara.
Now came the next phase, close-quarters combat.
And that meant... Arima would have to contend with the notorious Flying Thunder God Technique.
