Since I had a Gamer System from the age of three, I acquired many skills. Although all of them were mundane, I embraced every single one, as they would level up slowly over time as long as I used them in some way.
What piqued my interest was the skill [Peek Thy Heart], which I gained thanks to the Unique Skill [Luxuriae Interminabilis]. Said unique skill has a straightforward effect: I can obtain special skills by having sex with women. These skills level up only through more sexual encounters with the same woman until reaching level 100. After that, any further intercourse would yield another skill, and the cycle would continue.
The same skill could be leveled up with two different women, but the chance of that happening is extremely low, as it would require selecting that specific skill to level up. It's not impossible, just rare.
After spending the night with Mira, I acquired the skill [Peek Thy Heart], which is quite intriguing if my prediction holds true.

I became even more curious about why I received this particular skill. You see, while [Luxuriae Interminabilis] allows me to gain skills, they aren't random; there's a clear pattern to their creation based on the women involved.
For instance, if I go to a world where people gain a personal skill at the age of 18, the likelihood that it will be one I'll obtain as long as I like it—or at least don't dislike—is quite high.
These skills are not just created based on the women themselves, but are also contextual. For example, after sleeping with Jun, who is a mangaka, I received the skill [Mangaka]. Conversely, the woman I lost my virginity to, Tsumugi, was a shotacon and granted me the skill [Milf Bait].
It wouldn't make sense for me to have a skill like [Shotacon] unless I was both gay and a shotacon, which is an entirely different matter.
While I don't know Mira very well yet, our conversation at the bar and the skill I obtained led me to deduce that she is quite a catch—a woman I wouldn't want another man to take from me. I genuinely want to continue my relationship with her, but therein lies a problem.
I like her, but I don't truly love her. Another issue is that since my reincarnation, I've decided against having an equal relationship. What I mean is that now that I've consumed an Essence that grants me significant potential, I would gain power—economic, physical, and political. Entering into an equal relationship would mean relinquishing half of that power.
This is something that someone who believes in soulmates and destined lovers would cherish, but I don't subscribe to the notion of true love.
In my past life, I was half-Italian and half-American, spending time in both countries. My experiences in Italy instilled in me the values of family and friendship, as well as the importance of nurturing those connections. Meanwhile, my time in America exposed me to the harsher realities of love, filled with doubts about a partner's loyalty, and witnessing apparently perfect couples disintegrate.
I'm not against relationships or marriage, mind you, but I don't believe there will be someone I'd want to give my power away to, just to have it possibly lost. I don't believe in Soulmates.
So, I could continue my relationship with Mira, attempting to make her one of my lovers, but our relationship would not be equal. This is partly due to my desire for power and my pride. I don't want anyone dictating how I should live my life; my power is mine and mine alone.
