Chapter 5 - Hiyama takes action

Matt's store has long been popular for having exorbitant prices for items that look like decorations, and in fact, most if not all potential customers ignore Matt's store before heading elsewhere to buy their weapons.

Not far from Re-estize in Carne village.

Daisuke Hiyama wakes up next to a beautiful brown-haired girl, the girl is a peasant girl from Carne village that Hiyama seduced last night.

After all, for Hiyama to convince a peasant girl to sleep with him is a simple thing, plus thanks to being a modern man, Hiyama has no problem sleeping with several women without remorse or needing to tire himself out with them.

Still, this morning was destined to be different.

Several shouts were heard coming from those on guard in the village, then, the sound of several horses outside quickly reached Hiyama's ears.

"We are attacked!!!"

A man's scream is heard before the flame of his life goes out, several more screams can be heard, all while Hiyama quickly grabs his staff, his clothes and rushes out of the room.

Outside, several soldiers in silver armor and some on horseback chase after the peasants of the meat village, their swords swing nimbly cutting the necks of the innocent people and as this happens, light laughter accompanies the screams of pain.

Small, intense waves of screams and agony are heard as the drums of war announce the coming of the battle.

Hiyama moves quickly, his staff glows with a slight green hue before he escapes using a teleportation spell to a location far away from the Flesh village.

"This is strange...", Hiyama mutters under his breath after transporting behind the bulwarks surrounding the Carne village.

Hiyama quickly realized the situation of the current Carne village, but, that is less important to him. More important is the reason why there are soldiers armed as if they were Re-estize personnel massacring a village that belongs to the Re-estize kingdom itself.

Floating lightly in the air, Hiyama observes the situation with cold crocodile eyes, watching every single movement of the armed men in detail.

"It's different, ha, I mean, they're not Re-estize people, but, then, Are they from Heiligh or Paradis?" Hiyama hand to his forehead to think about the possibilities.

According to the latest information Hiyama was able to gather, the five main kingdoms of this continent, The Slane Theocracy, Baharuth, Re-estize, Heiligh and Paradis have been living together in relative harmony for 20 years.

Twenty years ago a strange manifestation of the cosmos caused the Heiligh kingdom and Paradis to be transported to this magical world, and since then, these kingdoms/countries/empires have been kept away from each other.

However, Hiyama knows that the current King Ramposa III has some plans to attack Heiligh.

"Probably people from Heiligh trying to start a war...", Hiyama mutters to himself, he was ready to retreat when a voice rings in his mind.

"Watch out Foolish One, A strange people have been watching you for a while, now, and you will probably have to prepare for battle..." the voice of Kel'thuzad echoes loudly inside Hiyama's mind.

Meanwhile in a large tomb beneath the arid earth.

Here, the skeleton lord, leader of the Nazarick tomb observes relatively calmly the scene of the Flesh village through a mirror which, in turn also focuses on Hiyama's figure floating not far away.

"Demiurge, that young man looks like...," Ainz Ooal Gown speaks in an imposing voice, however, in his mind his thoughts have already exploded,

"But what the fuck?, red hair, a face worthy of the Yakuza, and a slender body, Why does this guy look like one of my compatriots?", Susuki Satoru in Ainz Ooal Gown's body thinks with slight despair.

After all, Ainz's reason for taking so long to use the mirror of truth to observe his surroundings was because of his suspicions that other Yggdrasil players had transmigrated with him.

Now, observing Daisuke Hiyama in the mirror, Ainz has confirmed his worst fears, the jumble of thoughts in his mind about what to do, about whether to kill Hiyama or whether to befriend him, all lead to one conclusion, for him, Ainz, there are other Yggdrasil players in this world.

"He's definitely a Yggdrasil player!!" Ainz thinks as he observes Hiyama's strange abilities that seem to have been inherited from a Necromancer npc.

"Should I kill him?, he doesn't seem to have noticed me spying on him through the mirror..." Ainz comes to a small conclusion in his mind.

"But, What if he pretends he didn't notice?, then attacking him would reveal Nazarick's position," Ainz despairs.

In his mind Ainz thinks about different possibilities, thinking about whether Hiyama is a transmigrated power-player or not.

"Wait, if Hiyama is there, Does that mean there are more players?" Ainz thinks about it before cowering in fear, no wait, he's not cowering in fear, he's cowering out of caution.

"Sir Ainz, the human has piqued my curiosity, we have no record of any humans who can use those kind of... powers," Demiurge rubs his chin in absolute fascination with Hiyama.

"I ask permission to capture the human and use him as a subject for experimentation," Demiurge smiles seemingly in an elegant manner, but his smile looks more like the grin of a demon.

"Don't even think about it!!" Ainz abruptly reacts to Demiurge's suggestion, the level 100 demon backing up two steps at his master's reaction.

Seeing this, Ainz quickly starts coughing to calm the situation, although he has no lungs, "I mean, Demiurge, I think establishing a strategic alliance with that human might be more important, after all, we don't know about how powerful he is," Ainz says with an imposing voice.

That time it was Demiurge's turn to exhale, he jumps slightly in his own place before making a slight groan of surprise, "Impressive Sir Ainz!!!"

Demiurge smiles broadly, "You have understood so much in such a short time... I was about to act premeditated, I beg you to punish me!", Demiurge bows to Ainz as he shouts fervently.

"May you be punished by your fucking mother..." Ainz curses inside his mind before clicking his tongue, though he has no tongue.

"Arise Demiurge, since you've figured it out I don't need to say any more..." Ainz again acts like a mighty Tomb lord.

With that said Demiurge raises his head to stare with fully glowing eyes at Ainz's silhouette, he swallows saliva before smiling broadly again.

"So, Sir Ainz, Should we start on the plan now?", Demiurge asks.

"What?", Ainz freezes, "What the hell plan is this minion with diabetes talking about?"

Ainz mentally swallows saliva, after all, he has no trachea and no saliva, he watches Demiurge for a moment, in his mind, Ainz wants to scream that he is tired of Demiurge, that he doesn't understand how this NPC's brain that has come to life works.

How is it possible for Demiurge to draw totally crazy conclusions from his every action?

Ainz lightly touches his skull at a sudden headache, though he has no brain.

"I... I mean..." Ainz clears his voice slightly before thinking for a moment.

After his conjectures about who Hiyama might be, Ainz decides to check it out himself, after all, in case Hiyama is too powerful he can always use the Ring of the Lord of Nazarick along with a spell cancellation to return to the Tomb.

"Demiurge, call Albedo, we will leave soon to check to establish contact with the humans," Ainz gives orders before standing up, his cloak swings in an imposing manner giving him the air of a supreme lord.

...

"To arms...", in the village Carne, several young peasants with a thirst for revenge shout as they take the pickaxes or shovels in their hands to fight the attackers.

Not far in the distance, Hiyama flying low while a green aura covers him has finished analyzing the situation.

"Ordinary soldiers of the Baharuth Empire," Hiyama comes to a conclusion a moment before smiling.

Hiyama raises his staff slightly, the skull on the staff begins to glow with great intensity, "Beg for mercy!!!" Hiyama's distorted voice is heard as if he is in front of a loudspeaker.

The peasants and soldiers stop their fighting for a moment, everyone in the village hears that voice, then, they raise their heads to observe something strange in the sky.

A man covered by an intense green light rises higher and higher, the staff in his hand by itself fills everyone's heart with a particular fear.

They all watch the man in the sky for a moment, they swallow saliva, their minds overwhelmed by Hiyama's magic power not working properly.

These Baharut soldiers who have trained to tears to withstand all their mental barriers now look like frightened fawns, watching the hunter and waiting for their deaths.

Without words, without screams, and without explanation, several drops of green liquid shoot from Hiyama's staff, these drops travel at speeds faster than sound entering the minds of each and every one of the soldiers.
