It doesn't matter what intelligent species one is talking about, nor does it matter how far the society or technology has grown. They all fear the unknown. Those who are different in society often find themself being discriminated against, either physically or mentally.
And Harry was currently in a very backward society.
He had seen these people's superstitions in the past two days. Which made him understand that anything undermining their belief in some way or form would not be taken lightly by these guys. So, if he were to reveal that he has Vita, he would be persecuted in some way or another.
Everyone believes that Vita only starts appearing in the body when one gets their Lord's scriptures. But he had broken the rule. This meant this situation could either end badly or it could end in a happy-ever-after situation. Harry was not an optimistic person. He truly believed that everything that is supposed to go wrong does go wrong.
Which is why he had to act fast. He wanted to know more about Vita, so he chose to talk to the only person who could help him understand this power…
Let's see, what would an eleven-year-old talk to his father about, He thought, as he and Imka walked some distance away from the rock.
"What do you want to talk about, son?" Imka asked, looking concerned.
Harry then asked, "Appa... do you think I would be able to become a good hunter?"
Imka was surprised to hear the question, still, he answered, "Of course.. You are my son. Your mother was of the Mars tribe. You have the blood of the two most important Heks of our world. Of course, you would do just fine."
Imka then went out and started telling a fairy tale of their Lord Leh, which was supposed to teach him the benefits of being brave. Harry didnt care in the slightest about the story or his father's encouragement. He wanted something else, but to get that, he needed to go through this bullshit.
After Imka had said his piece, their conversation came to an end, and they started heading back to the tribe. This is where Harry asked the real question that he wanted to ask, "Appa, I think I might become a Vita Wielder like you, considering I can already sense Vita in other people."
Imka nodded. "Chief thinks so as well. That is why he chose you to be in the hunting party."
He nodded. "Appa… I think I should train diligently before we go on a hunt… Can you tell me the way to train Vita? I should start training it right now."
Imka chuckled, "Why dont we wait till you get Vita?"
Harry stopped moving, noticing that Imka also had come to a stop. Then Harry pushed further, "I am serious, Appa.. Tell, how can one train in Vita? I want to know so that I can start doing it as well."
Imka looked at him with concern, "Son.. Dont worry about it for now.. Everything would be taught to you when the time comes."
"Is the technique some sort of secret?" he asked, making sure that he was not pushing the wrong buttons.
Imka shook his head, "No, it is not. But you dont have Vita. How are you going to practice in the first place?"
Harry had no answer to that. Damn it..
Still, he didnt lose hope. He then turned around and inserted a minute amount of dirt into his eyes. The sensation made him squint, and it turned his eyes red.
He then turned around, and with a sad look shrugged, "I dont know. I thought.. I just want to do something, Appa. I just want to do something that will help me master Vita faster. So i figured, if I start practicing it from now, it will help me in the long run.." Harry felt very embarrassed; he was horrible at manipulation. And this was a very pathetic attempt at that as well.
Tears and red, puffy eyes worked their charms on Imka. The man hugged him closely and answered, "Dont cry… And it is not a secret. To train the Vita, you just need to learn how to command it. That is all."
"Command it?" Harry questioned.
"Yes…" Imka said, "Listen, Adui, Vita is present all around us. We cannot control the Vita in the air. But the one in our body is ours to command. We can make it move however we want. It's like having a muscle that you didn't know existed. And to control it, you just need to find a way to tap into it. Then you can use it like a real muscle in your body…."
Harry found Imka's explanation very strange. It didnt make sense to him. How can one control a thing in their body when they have no way to tap into it?
In his original world, people used multiple implants so that they could have better and smoother control over all of their bodily functions. So, he didnt know how he could just tap into a muscle that he doesn't even have any control over.
He felt that Imka had not lied to him, but in order to confirm the theory, he needed more data…

After having an eventful conversation with his father, Harry returned with him to their so-called family hut. As his father was a Vita wielder, he had a hut. It was a matter of great prestige having a hut in he tribe, from what Harry had discerned. But to him, having a hut felt more like a punishment. Because that night, when they came to the hut, for the first time, Harry saw all of his siblings together.
If one includes all the little ones, their family consisted of 12 people. And they all slept in a hut that was meant to fit around 7 people at most.
During the night, it became so suffocating in the hut that Harry had to sneak out of there. Instead of sleeping outside, like most of the normal folks, he decided to sleep at the top of the rock that night.
Below the stars, surrounded by a cold and gentle breeze. The snoring coming from the forges did make him want to punch someone, nonetheless, the spot he chose to sleep was the best place to rest…
