Chapter 5 - Chapter 5-Ripples of Revelation

While Su Chan immersed himself in the esoteric wonders of his new physique and cultivation arts, a storm was brewing in the minds of many across the Tianshang Holy Land and beyond.

Fairy Peak – Peak Master's Residence

Bai Lianxin, the Frost Moon Fairy, sat with an unnatural stillness. The usual ethereal calm that surrounded her was fractured, replaced by a subtle, icy tension. Su Chan's diary entry, stark and brutal in its pronouncements, had replayed in her mind multiple times.

"My master… a prize for the so-called 'hero'… trophy…"

Her delicate, jade-like fingers, usually steady whether holding a sword or a teacup, were clenched so tightly that her knuckles were white. A wave of cold fury, something she hadn't felt in decades, washed over her. To be reduced to a mere possession in some cosmic narrative dictated by a "Son of Destiny"? The very notion was an insult to her pride, her strength, her entire existence as a Saint King.

Then came the doubt. Reincarnation? A novel? It sounded like the ravings of a madman. Yet, the detail about Ye Fan, his supposed character, the upcoming disciple recruitment… it felt chillingly specific. Could Su Chan, her quiet, unassuming second disciple, truly possess such foreknowledge? Or was this some elaborate, malicious scheme?

Her spiritual sea, usually a placid lake, was now a roiling ocean of conflicting thoughts. Cultivation was impossible. The diary's words echoed, demanding attention, demanding answers.

"Ye Fan… will aim straight for my Fairy Peak… lusting after Third Junior Sister Ning Youxi's furnace physique… and eventually, even Master."

A dangerous glint entered Bai Lianxin's eyes. Regardless of the diary's veracity, the name Ye Fan was now etched in her mind with a mark of extreme caution, even hostility.

Unable to bear the uncertainty, she decided. She had to see.

With a thought, her powerful Saint King Divine Sense, subtle as the evening mist yet vast enough to cover mountains, spread out from her residence. It swept silently across Fairy Peak, bypassing protective arrays with ease, and focused on Su Chan's small courtyard.

She saw him, cross-legged, enveloped in a faint, almost imperceptible greyish aura tinged with myriad colors. He was deeply engrossed in cultivation, his expression focused, a stark contrast to the timid disciple she vaguely remembered. The aura… it felt ancient, profound, utterly unlike the Qi Refining level energy she would have expected.

This… is not ordinary Qi Refining practice.

A flicker of surprise crossed her face. The diary mentioned a "Chaos Divine Body." Was this it?

After a moment, seeing nothing overtly suspicious in his immediate actions beyond the unusual energy signature, Bai Lianxin slowly withdrew her Divine Sense. The anger remained, but it was now tinged with a profound, unsettling curiosity and a dawning sense of unease. This Su Chan was far more than he appeared.

Fairy Peak – Disciples' Courtyards

Fang Xin, Su Chan's Senior Sister, paced her room, her pretty face flushed with indignation. "That Ye Fan! How dare he have such thoughts about Master and Youxi! And Su Chan… to be a cannon fodder? Unacceptable!" The diary's raw honesty about their supposed fates resonated with her protective nature. She felt a strange mix of anger towards this Ye Fan and a new, worried curiosity about her usually quiet Second Junior Brother.

Ning Youxi, the Third Junior Sister, felt a shiver of dread trace down her spine. "Furnace physique…" The words from the diary confirmed her deepest, unspoken fears. She had always felt different, and her previous master before joining Fairy Peak had hinted at her special constitution. To know it was a target for someone like the described Ye Fan filled her with revulsion and fear. She glanced towards Su Chan's courtyard, a newfound, complex emotion stirring within her. He knew. How?

Lin Ruo'er, the Fourth Junior Sister, was more confused than angry. The concepts of a "Son of Destiny" and being characters in a "novel" were too outlandish. Yet, the conviction in Su Chan's written words, coupled with the broadcasted news of his heaven-defying rewards, made her wonder. She, too, cast a curious look towards Su Chan's dwelling.

Tianshang Holy Land – Holy Lord's Palace

Lan Xianyi, the Holy Lord, sat upon her throne, the mists around her swirling slightly faster than usual. Her eyes, which seemed to hold the wisdom of the stars, were narrowed in deep thought. Su Chan's diary was a piece of a puzzle she hadn't even known existed. The "Son of Destiny" concept, the manipulation of fate, the idea of their world being a pre-written "story"… these were implications that could shake the very foundations of the Tiaxu Continent.

She, too, had briefly extended her Divine Sense, far more subtly and powerfully than Bai Lianxin. She had noted the unique aura around Su Chan. Chaos Divine Body… Grand Primordial Chaos Art… Myriad Dao Scripture. The boy was now a focal point of immense, unforeseen change. The name Ye Fan was recorded, a potential disruptor to be watched.

Other Peaks of Tianshang Holy Land

Shen Qingyu of Ice Lotus Peak felt a cold fury mirroring Bai Lianxin's. The idea of any disciple of Tianshang, let alone a Peak Master, being treated as a "trophy" was anathema. Her True Disciple, Leng Xiyan, also felt a chill, though hers was more of apprehension.

Yu Xinyue of Alchemy Peak sighed, a troubled look on her gentle face. Such crass desires and blatant disrespect described in the diary worried her. Her True Disciple, Tang Yixue, was similarly disturbed, finding the described Ye Fan utterly contemptible.

Hua Yueli of Illusory Peak found a dangerous smile playing on her lips. "A novel? A Son of Destiny? How… exquisitely entertaining." This was a new, unpredictable variable, and she loved unpredictability. Her True Disciple, Mei Lianhua, felt a spark of intrigue; the mind games and hidden truths hinted at were her specialty.

The male Peak Masters and their disciples, had they known, would have been equally shocked, but the diary's current reach was limited.

Hundred Followers Holy Land

Aan Chinner reread the diary entry for the third time, a mixture of vindication and cold anger churning within her. "Vicious, lustful… dug out his childhood playmate's Sword Bone…" The Ye Fan described by Su Chan was a monster far worse than the arrogant, lustful wastrel she had broken her engagement with. A shiver ran down her spine. Her decision to cancel the marriage felt more right than ever. She was also profoundly curious about Su Chan. How did he know all this? And the Chaos Divine Body… he was no simple disciple.

Her master, Elder Wanxiu, and the Sacred Leader Jinghua, also privy to the diary, shared similar sentiments of shock and a newfound vigilance regarding this "Ye Fan."

As midnight approached, an uneasy anticipation settled over the heroines. They were all waiting for two things: Su Chan's promised reward, and perhaps, more information.

Suddenly, a new notification flashed within the minds of all the diary holders.

Ding! System Function 2: Theme Selector, is now active.

A random diary holder will be chosen to select a theme or ask a question. This theme/question will be anonymously presented to Host Su Chan as a system-generated writing prompt for his next diary entry.

Randomly selecting heroine for theme selection…

Selection complete: Ning Youxi (Tianshang Holy Land, Fairy Peak).

Ning Youxi, please choose a theme or question you wish Host Su Chan to write about in his next entry.

In her room on Fairy Peak, Ning Youxi gasped. Her? She had so many questions, so much fear. What should she ask? Her mind raced. The most pressing concern for her was Ye Fan's intentions.

Timidly, almost fearfully, she formulated her request into the system:

"Tell us more about Ye Fan's specific plans for the Tianshang Holy Land disciple recruitment and his immediate intentions, especially regarding Fairy Peak."

Meanwhile, Su Chan, having meticulously studied the basics of his new arts and feeling the subtle strengthening of his body, was patiently waiting for midnight.

Exactly as the clock would have struck twelve, the system's voice sounded.

Ding! Congratulations, Host! For completing your first diary entry and revealing significant future plot points, you have received the following rewards:

1. Soul Nourishing Pill (x3 – Can strengthen the soul and enhance spiritual sense)

2. Qi Condensation Array Blueprints (Basic – Can gather spiritual Qi more efficiently for cultivation)

3. 100 Low-Grade Spirit Stones

A faint smile touched Su Chan's lips. "Not bad for a start. Soul Nourishing Pills will be very useful."

Just as he was about to fully immerse himself in absorbing a Soul Nourishing Pill, another system prompt appeared.

Ding! System has generated a random theme for your next diary entry: "Elaborate on Ye Fan's specific plans for the Tianshang Holy Land disciple recruitment and his immediate intentions, particularly concerning Fairy Peak."

Su Chan blinked. "A random theme? That's new. But… convenient. It's exactly what I was planning to touch on anyway." He had no idea that his "random" theme was a carefully crafted question from his terrified Third Junior Sister.
