In a big hospital, there was an old man lying on one of the hospital beds, staring at the ceiling as he remembered his whole life.
My name is Liam Wildfort. I was born into a nice family—my father owned over 100 hotels and never forced anything on me. As for my mother, she was a caring woman who always prayed for my well-being. My family never had any problems with money. My mother and father lived a peaceful and healthy life... but for me, things were different.
From the beginning, I had one thing I truly loved—martial arts and fighting techniques. I made a goal in childhood: I would learn every fighting technique and martial art in the world. I joined karate classes, taekwondo classes, boxing, kickboxing, etc.
As I grew up, I learned so many martial arts and techniques—but it wasn't enough. So, I began a world tour. I traveled through South American countries, European countries, African countries, Asian countries—you could say, the whole world. I learned new techniques from every nation.
As the years passed, I became a fighter. I fought many opponents from different countries. At the age of 40, I became a grandmaster. But after that, things changed.
My parents died in an accident. I got busy handling my father's business. Still, I made time for my passion—fighting.
As I grew older, sickness took over. And now, lying on this hospital bed, I have just one regret in life:
I never left my mark on the world.
I never created my own martial art.
I never spread my name across the globe.
Even though I had students, I still felt like I came into this world empty-handed... and I'm leaving empty-handed.
My eyes started to feel tired. I slowly closed them.
Suddenly, I felt like I was drowning in water. I couldn't find the surface.
Then, a huge glowing entity smiled at me. It gently placed me in its palm and said just one thing:
"Remember me. I am the God of Creation."
Everything became a blur.
My eyes opened. I woke up—sweating and breathing heavily.
I looked around.
"What is this place...? Moss, dirt, and weeds everywhere..."
Wait a minute.
"I'm in some kind of cave...?"
Then I looked at my hands—and I was shocked.
"What the hell... why do my hands look so young?!"
I stood up and looked at my body.
"Wait... I got younger?!"
I began searching for a mirror or something reflective. Then I saw a pond. Light was falling through a hole in the cave ceiling, illuminating the pond beautifully. I walked toward it and looked at my reflection.
A face stared back at me—green eyes, a well-defined jawline, white skin, and long, majestic black hair.
I touched my face.
"This isn't my face... what happened? Did my soul enter someone else's body...? And why am I only wearing shorts made of animal fur? Am I some kind of tribesman or what?"
I closed my eyes to think.
Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine.
I opened my eyes and froze—a massive white snake was right in front of my face.
I jumped back.
"What in the world is this snake?! It's so huge... it could swallow my whole body!"
"Is this an anaconda...? No, I've never heard of a white anaconda this big."
The snake slithered closer, its eyes locked on mine. I snapped to attention.
No time to think.
I scanned the cave for a weapon.
The snake struck at me! I jumped and dodged the attack.
"Whoa! What a flexible body..."
Then I saw it—a spear with a stone spearhead. I grabbed it.
"What is this? Do people still collect something like this...? Or is this a movie prop?"
The snake stared directly into my eyes, readying another strike.
"Well, something's better than nothing."
I took a stance—the Sojutsu style (Japanese spear arts).
"Come, snake... I'll show you the might of Sojutsu martial arts."
The snake attacked again. I dodged and countered, thrusting the spear forward—the stone spearhead pierced one of the snake's eyes.
The snake hissed in agony.
It recoiled, then lunged again. This time, it sprayed a strange liquid from its mouth.
I narrowly dodged again. The venom struck a small tree behind me—the tree melted instantly.
I stared in horror.
"What kind of snake has venom this potent...?"
The snake's gaze returned to me. I took my stance once more.
I remembered the words of the teacher from whom I learned Sojutsu.
This time, as I prepared to strike, I felt something different.
The spearhead began to glow with a faint blue light.
Suddenly, I saw it—a path of attack.
A glowing spot inside the snake's belly—it looked like a core or energy ball.
In my mind, I visualized every Sojutsu form I had ever learned... and chose the perfect strategy.
I charged forward with full force.
The snake sprayed venom again—I dodged.
As I neared it, the snake anticipated an attack to the head and moved to defend with its massive tail.
But instead, I lunged at its belly—
With flawless Sojutsu technique, I drove the spear into the glowing point inside its abdomen.
The stone spearhead shattered the strange energy core.
The snake hissed loudly—then collapsed to the ground.
Dead.
I stood there, panting and gripping the spear.
"Damn... that was something."
I pulled the spear free and sat down to rest for a while.
After catching my breath, I stood and made my way toward the cave entrance.
Following the light, I finally found the exit.
Outside, I stood on a cliff—the cave was on top of a hill.
From here, I could see an endless forest stretching to the horizon.
I sighed.
"I'm cooked."
