Chapter 9 - 9

From the angle Emily stood, she couldn't see the powerful young master sitting in the car.

She didn't look over curiously, as that would be very impolite.

Abigail couldn't help it and walked a few steps to the side. With just a glance, just a side view, Abigail was so amazed that she couldn't speak.

After a long time, the car had driven away and disappeared. Abigail seemed to have come back to her senses.

"It's simply stunning!" Abigail was surprised. She didn't expect that she would have the honor to meet such a breathtaking man in her life!

Emily glanced at her and could arouse Abigail's obsession. I guess the young master was really handsome!

"Dad, I have something to go out for!" Emily said to her father.

Christopher ignored her. In his eyes, if Emily was not still useful, he would not care about her at all.

Emily went back to the villa, took her bag, and prepared to go out.

When she reached the door of the villa, Daniel had not left yet. He looked at Emily leisurely and said with a smile: "Emily. If you want to go out, I can arrange a car for you."

Emily was about to wave her hand to refuse politely, but the car Daniel was talking about had already driven in front of her.

It was the luxury Bentley that sent her back yesterday.

"Emily., please get in the car!" Daniel came over to open the door for her, protected her head, and let her get in the car.

Emily was really embarrassed for a moment. After she got in the car, she looked up and asked Daniel who was about to close the door for her: "The young master of this family, is he Joseph from Pfizer?"

Daniel just smiled meaningfully, without responding, and closed the car door for Emily.

After the car drove away, Abigail walked up to Daniel with a look of unwillingness, complaining: "Uncle, this Emily is not my mother's biological daughter, I am!"

Daniel listened, glanced at her lightly, did not respond, and turned to walk towards the main house.

Abigail was so angry that she stamped her feet: "Mom, what's wrong with this cousin? Why is he so nice to Emily?"

Mrs. Christopher also felt strange, took her daughter's hand, and whispered: "Wait a minute, I'll go ask."

The driver asked Emily in front: "Where are you going, Emily?"

"Take me to the suburbs!" Emily smiled slightly and said the place name, then took out her mobile phone and looked through the business on the online store.

James has always been in charge of her online store. She is only responsible for reading the comments to see if there are any reports that the pills she made are ineffective or have other side effects that she doesn't know about.

Emily has been interested in medicine since she was a child and has learned a lot of medical knowledge by herself. Later, her biological mother found several famous local doctors for her and let her learn from them secretly.

She still doesn't understand why her mother didn't let her study openly, but secretly learned medical skills from them.

Her mother also gave her several long-lost medical books, asking her to restrain her temper and be a low-key person who concentrates on studying medicine.

Later, she followed her mother's advice and was admitted to a medical university. She only studied pharmacy, and the coursework was very heavy, but her mother still called her every day to remind her that she must not only study the courses arranged by the school well, but also study those medical books thoroughly.

So from childhood to adulthood, she spent most of her time studying, rarely communicated with people, and had no friends.

The only friend was James, a homeless orphan she met when she was a child, two years younger than her.

At that time, Emily would secretly give James food from home, give James her own pocket money, and give him her thick clothes in winter.

Later, Emily's mother found out and paid for James's accommodation and supported his schooling.

But no one knew about James except Emily, her biological mother, and her brother. Even Christopher only thought that James was Emily's good friend.

James also knew some medicine, all taught by Emily.

After her brother disappeared and Mrs. Christopher committed suicide by jumping off a building, William also left her. Emily only had James as a reliable relative.

The car came to the suburbs that Emily mentioned. This was a yard left by Mrs. Christopher to Emily, where she set up her small pharmaceutical factory.

After she got off the car and was about to take the key to open the door, she suddenly found that there was a court seal on the door.

 What happened?

She immediately called James to ask. James rarely came here. Every time Emily made the medicine, she asked him to come and pick it up.

"Could it be that your father mortgaged this bungalow as well?" James thought of the first possibility.

Emily's eyebrows suddenly twisted, and when she called her father again, she was scolded by her father.

The house was indeed mortgaged by her father. Emily had a headache. There was one more property to redeem. Where could she find so much money?

At this time, the phone rang. She picked it up and saw that it was an unfamiliar number.

"Emily., I am Michael, the special assistant of the president. We met yesterday." Michael's gentle voice came from the other end of the phone.

"Oh, Special Assistant Mo, hello, is there anything?" Emily asked tentatively.

"It's about Emily. Your father's debt. Emily. Is it convenient for you to come to the group?" Michael said.

"Debt?" Emily suddenly realized that when she was negotiating with the man yesterday, he said that he would pay off all of Christopher's debts for her.

Emily thought about it and finally decided to go.

She came to the Pfizer headquarters building again and took the elevator directly to the top floor.

As soon as she got out of the elevator, she saw the special assistant Michael standing there with a smile on his face waiting for her.

She also smiled slightly, as a response to him.

This time, the special assistant did not take her directly to the president's office, but to a reception room next to it.
