Episode 43: The Warrior's Memory

The forest was eerily quiet as Juvia's breathing slowed. The Third Sigil had marked her—burned into her chest just above her heart, glowing like a moonlit flame. Ha-jun hadn't let go of her since she fell from the Mirror of Truth, and something about the way he held her now felt different.

Protective.

Familiar.

"Are you alright?" he asked, brushing damp strands of hair from her face.

She nodded faintly. "I saw… us."

Ha-jun stiffened. "Us?"

Juvia met his eyes. "In another life. You weren't Ha-jun—you were her sword. The Queen's most loyal warrior. But you betrayed her for someone you loved…"

Ha-jun's eyes widened, a flicker of memory crossing his face like a shadow. "Don't."

"She killed you for it," Juvia whispered. "And I… I was the one you died for."

A wind swept through the trees, carrying whispers not of this world.

Lysian drew his sword. "We're not alone."

Suddenly, the ground shook. A massive figure emerged from the shadows—a beast with a lion's head, eagle wings, and burning sapphire eyes. It roared with a voice that shattered tree bark.

"The Guardian of the Sigil," Lysian muttered. "Of course."

The creature charged.

Ha-jun moved fast, drawing his blade with deadly grace. "Get behind me!"

"No!" Juvia stepped forward, her Sigil pulsing. "It's drawn to me. I need to face it."

The Guardian lunged—claws extended.

Juvia closed her eyes and thrust her hand forward.

The air cracked with energy.

A barrier of white light exploded from her palm, halting the beast mid-attack. It snarled, struggling against the power, but it couldn't move forward.

"Juvia…" Ha-jun whispered. "You're controlling it."

"No," she said. "I'm understanding it."

The creature slowly lowered its head, eyes glowing softer now. In her mind, a voice echoed:

> Three truths awaken your fate.

The Queen is not your end—but your reflection.

And the fourth Sigil… lies in the city of stars.

Then the Guardian faded into dust, leaving behind a stone sphere etched with star patterns.

Juvia dropped to her knees. "The City of Stars…"

Lysian exhaled, stunned. "That place was erased from every map. It only exists in legend."

"Then that's where we go," Juvia said, rising. "Because that's where this ends."

As they started their journey again, Ha-jun stayed close to her, the weight of memories beginning to crack the walls of his forgotten past.

And high above them, hidden in the folds of the moonlight, the Queen watched.

Her smile was cold.

> "Let her find the fourth Sigil. I'll be waiting."
