Omniscient, omnipotent... if those were the qualities of God, then for certain, Sector Commander Azaroth wasn't such an entity.
A single command of his could change the fate of countless solar systems.
As such, when the young man in front of him had called him a god, a faint smile appeared on his face.
Meanwhile, the young man Jack, a collage student, who was killed when a wild truck crashed into him, looked exasperated.
"Good for nothing extra, what does that mean?"
The Sector Commander merely nodded his head. Clearly, he had no interest in even talking about Zarek.
After all, that good-for-nothing dared to leave a one star review on a novel personally written by him.
What this trash had even achieved in his life, Azaroth was sure Zarek would not be able to write a single interesting paragraph, yet he dared act like an entitled little bitch.
Yeah, Sector Commander Azaroth was the author of the novel 'Divine Dragon Tamer',it was a story about a guy who only tames divine dragons by plou..cough! Let's not talk about it, Zarek had left one star review on such a masterpiece.
This guy deserved death!!
Azaroth furiously thought.
Acting as the Sector Commander was a very tiresome and boring job. To play around, every one of these beings developed quirky habits to kill time.
According to rumors, all 72 sector commanders of the Milky Way had such weird habits.
Azaroth was no different.
Sector Commander Azaroth liked to peer into the river of time and write those events into novels. There were also other reasons which weren't clear.
"Now state all of your three wishes!"
Azaroth said while looking at the young man who looked slightly foolish.
Jack immediately started hopping like a rabbit in excitement.
"Really, I can wish for everything?"
At those words, Sector Commander Azaroth simply nodded while chuckling internally, as if he already knew what Jack was going to wish for.
"I can finally throw that thing away..."
Almost one million years ago, Sector Commander Azaroth had gotten a treasure of mysterious origin that he couldn't use. However, during this recent century, that treasure had started to give him a terrifying sense of danger.
Using his ability, he discovered something horrifying: that mystique treasure would lead to his death one day.
As such, the Sector Commander formed a plan.
While he was musing, Jack voiced out his first wish.
"My first wish is that I want unlimited wishes..."
Jack said with a smug expression on his face, as if he had found a loophole.
However, that smile froze when he noticed the cold look in the sector commander's eyes.
Jack let out a forceful laugh and said while spreading his hands in the air.
"I—I was only kidding."
Immediately, Sector Commander Azaroth's face relaxed.
"Okay then. The first thing I want is a system..."
Jack stopped for a moment to see the so-called god's reaction. When he noticed that Azaroth was okay with it, he gained confidence and continued.
.....
Zarek watched this conversation with his heart growing cold.
He had come to terms with his situation very fast. This was an ability that he had gained after reading who knew how many novels, He had died and arrived in this strange space.
To him, this situation was very real. After all, in this vast world, the chances of something like this happening weren't low.
Moreover, contrary to what some expect he wasn't afraid, more than fear, he felt completely opposite, a strange sense of excitement started to surge in his heart.
He could live his life again and fix all the mistakes, mend all the regrets.
"Okay, okay calm down, don't let excitement get to your head.."
Once he had calmed down, he focused on the two's conversation.
After taking clues from the conversation, he realized why he was here and where he was going next.
His death had something to do with this so-called god.
He looked like someone cheap for being a God.
Just as this thought had popped into his head, Zarek noticed Azaroth looking at him with a faint smile.
"Damn."
"Fuck! He can read my mind..."
Zarek immediately tried to stop thinking about anything and everything. He didn't want to offend the so-called god.
Just then, a cold snort resounded in his head.
"As expected from a good for nothing trash!"
Meanwhile, during this short exchange, three balls of light filled with myriad energies had appeared around Jack. The young man had used all of his three wishes.
It wasn't clear what he had wished for.
"Good, now it's time for you to transmigrate."
Azaroth clapped his hands, and a dark portal similar to the mouth of a prehistoric beast appeared.
Just its presence alone made both Jack and Zarek feel a chill running down their spine.
"Is this safe?" Jack couldn't stop himself from asking.
"Now just go..." Azaroth said indifferently, he was starting to look forward to how Jack would deal with challenges, he wondered if he were a novel about Jack's Adventure, would reader's like it?
Although he could simply find the answer by using future sight, he didn't have fun with such a thing.
It was at this time.
Azaroth suddenly raised his head and looked far into the distance, then said in a furious voice, "Impudence!"
Boom!
The white expanse began to shatter. The reality began to dissipate and turn into smoke, exposing the reality outside.
Countless stars came into view. However, Zarek didn't pay attention to these stars; his focus was on something else, something impossibly huge.
"Is that a dragon?" he muttered in awe.
