(Lincoln's POV)
Hanging out with the ghouls yesterday was exactly what I needed, sure I could have gone without Gila
screaming in fear and diving under the table again but I can understand her fear and hopes that we can be
friends.
But everything else was great as I played with Winnie and Tanis, Did music with Phantasma, helped Elsa with
her experiments, baked sweets with Tsuki, And taught Sibella the magic control exercises that I used.
Miss. Grimwood was happy to see me again as she said the ghouls have been sad when I left much to their
embarrassment but then it became difficult when they started asking questions about were I lived.
(Flashback)
"It's true" Miss Grimwood says as the ghouls had embarrassment faces "The first few days have been unusually
quiet as the ghouls missed you dearly."
I faced the embarrassed ghouls with a teasing smirk "Aww, you missed me that much" The smirk then changed
into a much warmer smile "I'm touched, I've missed you all too"
"I wished you'd lived in this town" Winnie says with a small humph "Everyday would be so much fun and ever
since that show you did they have been acting kinder to us.
"You do seem to make everything better" Sibella says "You've been so kind to us, you help us with our hobbies
that you show genuine interest in, You've been the first real human friend that's never seemed to judge us by our
di ff erences."
"I've been kind to you's because you have been kind to me" I said "I show interest in your hobbies because A:
There fun and B: Because of how enthusiastic you are about them and it makes me smile"
They all smiled at my answers as Miss Grimwood watched us interact with a warm smile of her own.
"And I would be a hypocrite if I judge you all bast of your appearances" I said absentmindedly as they looked at
me confused "I have been judged my my appearance too." a1
"Really?" Sibella asked with her head tilted "But you look great"
"Oh you think he looks great huh" Winnie raises an eyebrow with a smirk as Sibella face had a small dark purple
blush
"Winnie!" She shouts out as the others laughed except me and Phantasma, As I don't understand why their
laughing and Phantasma seems upset about something as she is pouting.
Soon everyone stopped but still have grins on their faces as Sibella had her arms crossed with her blush still
noticeable
"Well thank you Sibella" I said as to try and make her feel better but that seemed to make the others snicker and
her face being a darker purple "But most people use to call me a white hair freak and you all saw a picture on
how I use to look"
"Ya, you were cute" Phantasma says but no one tried to even snicker as the ghouls didn't like that people could
be mean to their friend just cuz of the color of his hair.
"Ya and plus you grew so didn't they back down?" Winnie says but I started to look uncomfortable at how this
conversation is going.
"Actually most people think I pumped myself full of steroids even when the tests I did showed up negative or an
even bigger freak for how much I grew" I admitted before thinking "Well mostly guys seem to whisper that as
most of the girls just seem to space out." a1
The ghouls started to look angry "Who in their right mind would believe that even when proven wrong" Tsuki
asked with her arms crossed
"Actually one of my older sisters Lynn was the first one to say I did steroids at the first sight of me" I said in a
thinking position not noticing how all of their faces fell in shock at that, even Miss Grimwood "To be honest I
think that she still half suspects as she hates that I've grown taller and stronger then her."
I then noticed how silent it was as I looked up only to see the looks of rage and disbelief on their faces, Even Gila:
who was underneath the table, had her jaw dropped in shock as she slightly poked her head out.
"Lincoln" I turned to Sibella as she looks like she's trying to keep her emotions in check "Did she happen to
come with you by any chance?"
"No" I answered as they all sighed in disappointment
"Well Then I hope to see you parent then" Miss Grimwood said with her own arms crossed looking upset as well
"If this is true then I would like to inform your parents of the matter"
"Well I actually came here by myself" I answered knowing what was to come but knew better then to lie.
Everyone looked confused as they looked at me
"But I thought you said you're from out of town" Tanis asked "Are you from a town that's close by?"
"I live in Royal Woods" I replied honestly as they wondered if their was a town close by called that "In Michigan"
Their eyes nearly rolled out of their heads when I said that
"Michigan!?" Elsa shouted "Thats Two states away!"
"Are you saying that you crossed two states by yourself just to see us" Winnie asked, I couldn't tell then about
my powers; Not yet anyway, It's not that I don't trust them, I just don't know how will they react to it.
"Ya, I missed you ghouls so I would gladly do so" I said as the ghouls seemed touched my this, Even Gila had a
small smile on her face.
"Well that's very sweet but I'm sure you're parents didn't give you permission to cross two states by yourself to
come here" Miss Grimwood says sadly but firmly as she pulls out an old flip phone as the ghouls faces fell "I'll
have to call them"
"Ok, just to warn you that things are pretty tense at my house right now and I know from experience that even if
it's a call it will be chaotic" I warned her as I gave her the house phone number.
With that Miss Grimwood made the call and as it was ringing I had a straight face but on the inside I was
Panicking "They'll soon know about the ghouls, Miss Grimwood would find out about me not even being aloud
to have come here the for a visit much less when I did that week vacation."
"My sisters saw me before I le ft" I thought as my hand shook a little "They are going to wonder how I traveled a
great distance so fast, I'd then have to explain my skills!"
When the phone stopped ringing you can hear a flurry of noice, yelling, fighting, glass breaking and so much
more and the phone isn't even on speaker.
"Hello?...Hello?.... Ah Hello Mr. Loud I'm sorry to call you as I hear that you must be busy at the moment" Miss
Grimwood says though is slightly put o ff by all of the noice "I was just calling to ask you about your son...no he
hasn't done anything wrong, what gave you the impression of that?...he's been such a kind young man I can
assure you.."
The ghouls, even if hearing one side of the conversation weren't pleased by how I was assumed to have done
something wrong.
"I'm just calling to inform you about your sons visits...my girls love having him around as he is very kind to them,
I just have to make sure that you are aware of...you know?" That catches me o ff guard but I was able to keep a
straight face, though barley.
"Oh, his sisters told you...well I'm glad...yes it was nice speaking with you" Miss Grimwood ended the call
looking exhausted by it
"You weren't kidding when you said the call would be chaotic" Miss Grimwood said as I gave her a look of
sympathy.
"What was that?" Tanis asked wondering what was causing all the noice.
"Those were my sisters" I answered as they just looked at me with words seeming to fail them.
a ft er a moment Tsuki seemed to be able to have found her voice "Well your family must get a good bit of noice
complaints it that happens o ft en"
"We have our own wall of filing cabinets overflown with noice complaints" I deadpanned
To change the subject, Winnie asked the big question "So does that mean his parents are alright with him
coming all this way to visit us?" All the ghouls focused on Miss Grimwood as I fought to keep my face as
impassive as possible.
"Well it seems they are aware of it yes and they only said you have too be back on time for dinner Lincoln" Miss
Grimwood said to me before looking concerned "But I must say, to have you go such a distance by yourself
seems awfully dangerous"
"I can assure you that I only go straight here and back every time" I told her to ease her worry "I have a safe
route that gets me here and back without anything that can harm me"
Miss Grimwood seems to think hard on this but reluctantly gave in
"Well, Alright then" Miss Grimwood sighed "Just promise you'll be careful ok"
I smiled as knowing that she's concerned because she cares "I promise"
She smiles at that as the ghouls felt relived that I can still visit
(Flashback end)
After I got home, I learned that it was all a huge misunderstanding as my sisters only told Dad that I'd left to meet
some friends and that was it, The girls didn't pay attention to the call Dad was on as they were to busy fighting
with each other, which caused him to not fully pay attention to it.
Still that was close, too close if you ask me
I'll have to make a plan for the next time this happens, but I'll have to do it later as my family and I are going to
support Lana at her alligator match, which has always been something I've disapproved of but had no choice
but to keep quiet as no one in my family had listened to be when she first started fighting them.
"I mean seriously? She's six" I thought wondering how no one sees how wrong that is "You'd normally have to
be 18 to be able to compete."
But it seems no one cares as people find it impressive that a six year old girl can beat alligators
Yes it's impressive and I'm proud that my little sister is so tough, but It doesn't matter as it's completely idiotic,
grown man and women have lost limbs, have large scars and even died and they let a child participate!?
It drives me mad
(Lana POV)
"Oh boy I can't wait" I said excitedly "I'll be facing my first giant Gator"
"What's the difference?, their all big compared to us" Lola asked
"This one weights up to 1,679Ib exactly" Lana informs her twin as the others looked at her "What?, I wanted to
know about what scaly butt I'll be kicking"
"Oh I know you're going to win this" Lynn says "No scaly overgrown lizard stands a chance against my sis"
"Ya and this time, we'll make sure no one sabotages an event" Lori says throwing Lincoln a glare as well as Lynn
and Lola. Lucy and Lisa just cross their arms, shaking their heads at them. Leni, Luna, Luan and Lily just stayed
out of it.
"If you implying that I'd do anything that can potentially cause harm to my sister just to sabotage her then you
better keep it to yourself as I'm not you" Lincoln told her as Lori started to grit her teeth.
"I would nev-" Lori was about to deny but was cut of by Lincoln
"Leni's driving test" Lincoln said before looking out the window once more, resting his cheek on his hand.
I look at his arm that was still wrapped up, Yesterday was even wilder then usual.
After Lucy showed the note to the rest of us all of our mouths hanged open in shock, Luckily a bug flew into
mine, but that's besides the point.
I remember Lynn blaming them for even agreeing to his deal, saying that they should have just grabbed him and
dragged him to the rest of them, Lisa had their back saying that they were trying to get honest answers from him
and they shouldn't do that or they could make his injury worse.
It soon spiraled out of control as pretty soon a fight broke out, the fighting was crazier then normal as we
somehow ended up back inside the house, pretty soon Dad came home to us fighting but he's use to it as he
asked were Lincoln was we gave him the short version by shouting: WITH FRIENDS.
The phone starts ringing and he answers it, but we didn't care as we were to busy with our fight.
Lincoln had came back for dinner, we were all silent as we were tired after the fight but before going to bed we
tried to get answers only for him to simply go to his room.
"Now, now kids, No fighting in the car" Mom says as that stops Lori, who is slightly turning green as her motion
sickness pills started to wear off.
"Maybe a ft er the match I can try to talk to him" I thought still looking at him "Just me and him, one on one, it
might let me have a proper conversation with him as we haven't had one in...I don't even remember."
~Few minutes Later~
We arrived at the arena and it was packed, So many people came for a good show and when it's my turn I'll give
them one.
Their were many food trucks around so we decided to have a bite to eat, we laugh, talked had the occasional
argument or two but they were quieter and more tamed as we were all in a good mood.
Except Lincoln
He always seemed anxious when I come to these matches, At first I thought he was scared of the gators but as
time gone on I realized that he's scared I'd get hurt. He always checks on me before and after a match every time
I come here and I appreciate it but he worries to much, even if I secretly like that he does so, it shows how much
he cares.
"OUR NEXT CONTESTANT IS LANA LOUD" the announcer says as everyone cheers "WHO WILL BE FACING A
GATOR THAT WEIGHTS OVER 1,500Ib IN A CAGE MATCH!" The crowd started to wild
My family started to give me words of encouragement
"You'll do great sweety"
"you got this"
"Kick that scaly lizard things butt"
They all continued to cheer for me as my gaze landed on Lincoln who once again looked worried, Whenever I see
the worry on his face I always have a feeling I should apologize, but I don't know why "I've been doing this for a
long time now" I thought "It'll be fine, like always.
"Be careful Lana, ok?" Lincoln says like always as he checks to make sure I'm good
"What are you worried about Stinkoln?" Lynn asked "Lana's going to win like always, yet you always worry over
nothing"
"Ya, As long as you don't do anything to ruin her chances" Lori said with her arms crossed before looking at me
with a reassuring smile "Don't you worry we'll watch him to make sure he doesn't do anything to the match"
"Ya, he'll sit between me and Lori" Lynn agrees as Lincoln wasn't even paying attention to them as he is still
focused on making sure I'm ok.
"uh, sure thank" I said to Lori and Lynn before turning back to Lincoln who still had that worried look in his eyes
"I'll be safe I promise" I told him, as a small smile appeared on his face, though the worry was still their.
Like every other time.
As I made my way into the dome shaped cage I looked around and it was perfect, People cheering, the smell of
food, and mud, lots and lots of mud.
I looked over to see my family cheering for me the loudest, I soon spotted Lincoln fidgeting with his hand, like
what I do when I'm anxious or more like I got the habit from him.
"Huh I never realized that until now" I thought as I looked at his "Maybe I should ask why is he always so
worried?" before shaking my head, I have a match to focus on.
I see the cages that has alligators on the other side of the arena, I watch as the gate to the biggest gator cage
opens, releasing the beast.
I charge at the gator before making a sharp turn, picking up a piece of rope and lasso it's mouth shut as I do a
few loops around its legs before sitting on its scaly back.
I pull the rope to be able restrain it's movements but it was really strong as it began to try and knock me off.
"I'm doing it, I'm going to win" I thought as I pulled harder but just then I hear screaming as I turned my head
"Huh?"
My eyes widened as the rusted cages of the alligators had broken setting them loose in the arena. I had lost
focus of the rope which the big gator broke free of and I was knocked back by it's tail.
I rubbed where I got hit and looked around with eyes widening in fear, I maybe able to take out a gator or two
but to fight all of them that was going to be for tonight was way too much.
I ran to the door of the arena to try and get out but it's stuck, I push and pull but no matter what it won't move, I
then take a closer look to see that the door was covered in rust as well as the hinges which seemed of be slightly
deformed making it hard for anyone to open.
I hear a low bellow as I turned around to see the big gator that I was fighting coming at me fast, I jumped out of
it's way but the strap of my overalls got caught and it started to do death rolls making me dizzy and hitting my
head.
Soon the overalls ripped and I was sent rolling away, I was hurt as blood started too run down from my head, I
looked up in fear as the big gator started to come at me once more to finish me off.
I was scared, don't know what to do as I started to call for help "MOM, DAD, SOMEONE HELP ME!" I shouted as
the gators mouthed opened as it now only three feet away, but no one came.
"LINCOLN!" With my eyes closed in fear I shouted in desperation for my big Brother as I then heard the sound of
metal shattering, shouts of surprise and a yell of up most fury
"GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER YOU SCALY PIECE OF SHIT!" I looked up only to see the big gator a yard or two away
from me as I looked up only to see Lincoln with his back to me and his right hand bleeding. a3
~A few moments ago~
(NO POV)
The Loud family was cheering on Lana believing this would be her fastest win yet, only for all hell to break loose
as the other gators escaped, Lincoln was about to rush in their but was stopped by his parents.
"Lincoln just let the professional handle it" Rita shouted as she is blocking his path.
"Fuck that, now move out of the way" Lincoln shouted at her as the rest of his family was shocked at his
language.
"LINCOLN LANGUAGE" Rita says
"English now MOVE OUT THE WAY!" Lincoln yelled at her as he tries to go around her but his bad arm was
grabbed by Lori. a1
"Look Lincoln" Lori says with a seriousness "I get it, I want to go and save her too, But if we go down their it
would make it harder for the professionals to save her."
"Look have some faith, I'm sure Lana can turn this whole thing around just give it sometime" Lynn Sr says as
Rita nodded, Lincoln as well as his sisters just stared at them as if they were nuts, Even Lynn Jr who was overly
competitive and cocky knew that this wasn't the time for such things right now.
Lola was hyperventilating as she sees her twin sister get into a death roll and was flung, Lincoln tries to comfort
her seeing that she might have a panic attack but then all their hearts dropped when they see Lana bleeding as
he calls for help, but when she called for the last name all hell broke loose. a3
"LINCOLN!" Something snapped inside of him as he ran to her as fast as he could throwing Rita out of his way as
he has already approached the dome, Faster then anyone could see his right hand glowed with a familiar yellow
flame like aura as she punched the dome making a large hole as he rushed to his sister and punched the gator
away from her.
"GET AWAY FROM MY SISTER YOU SCALY PIECE OF SHIT!" he shouted as Lana looked up to see her big brother.
The other gator started to attack as well, but Lincoln didn't care, each time they attacked he attacked back,
grabbing their tails and throwing them, Plunging his hand into their eye sockets and ripping out chunks of their
brains, even using one as a weapon and beating another gator to death.
As Lincoln was fighting off the other gators the Big gator had recovered and made another attempt at Lana.
Lana screamed in fear as it's jaws almost closed on her head but two powerful hands kept them open, Lincoln
started to pull the gators jaws open more and more as a tearing sound became noticeable, before unleashing a
primal beast like roar.
"RRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH" He roared as he fully spread apart his arms as the Big gator was ripped in two
as blood covered Lincoln.
Throwing the two halves of the gator on the ground the other gators backed up a little in fear.
Lincoln's hair shadowed his eyes but then he looked up revealing such hatred, such rage in them, He released a
huge amount of killer intents that it seems to suffocate everyone in the area.
The gators don't see a man, they see a beast, a predator and they were his pray as they started to run away, their
was only one safe place that the predator wouldn't follow them and it was back to their cages. a1
Lincoln saw them run back to the cages but he didn't care as his gaze fell on Lana who flinches at the sight of
him as she was bleeding, crying and scared.
Lana felt his arms wrap around her protectively as he whispers "I'm sorry"
Lana looks up at him and saw tears falling from his eyes "I'm so sorry, I'v always new that you shouldn't be
doing this, That you would have gotten hurt" His tears wouldn't stop as Lana's eyes widened finally knowing
how her brother felt as she risks her life and for what a shiny cup.
"I'm sorry, I should have still fought against them, I should have never stopped even if they didn't listen to me"
He was shaking and so was Lana as she continued to cry "I'm sorry"
Lana just clings to him, crying her eyes out as the paramedics came to make sure no one was hurt.
~A few minutes later~
As Lana was being checked, Lincoln stayed by her side the whole time holding her hand,
Lincoln's hands were newly cleaned, stitched and bandaged already as he did it himself, He didn't want the
paramedics attention to be drawn away from Lana as her's were more severe in his opinion even if she say that
she's fine he wouldn't hear a word against it.
The rest of their family came over and they all ran up and hugged them both as Lola was crying her eyes out not
even worried about the mess now on her dress.
The announcer as well as the owner of the arena came over to apologize and hopes this won't stop Lana from
competing next time but before they could finish Lincoln had them by their throats.
"Lana won't be coming here and will not be participating ever again" He spat with such venom everyone back
away "For fucks sake, SHE SIX! I looked up the law and you have to be three times her age to be able to
participate!"
They try to say something but it's kind of hard with their throats being crushed
"If I catch any other minors participating in future fights, Then by the seven rings of hell I will find you and feed
you to the gators myself!" He said dropping them, they ran off in fear. "Are you alright Lana" Rita asks her daughter who only nods not even looking at her.
"I'm sorry this happened" Lynn Sr says "Next time we'll make sure that they check the cages so this doesn't
happen again"
Their eyes widened as Lincoln's narrows
"You guys still willing to let her continue fighting alligators?" Lori asks her parents as she couldn't believe what
he's hearing. "Even after what just happened."
"Well she's always worked so hard to participate" Rita answers her eldest daughter slightly unnerved by how
she asked the question "Of course, She won't be doing any until she's fully healed and will be going back to the
normal gators she fights."
"Didn't I just say that she won't be doing these anymore?" Lincoln told them his fist clenched tightly as fresh
blood started to drip.
"Look son" Lynn Sr says to Lincoln putting a hand on his shoulder "We get that your worried-
"Worried?, WORRIED!?" Lincoln shouted slapping Lynn Sr's hand away before pointing at them.
"THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I TRIED TO WARN YOU ABOUT!" Lincoln shouted as his whole family flinched. Lincoln
maybe the second quietist out of the family, But when he gets loud, he gets LOUD.
"Lin-" Rita tries to say but was silence by a glare from Lincoln, who's fist were clenched so tightly that his
stitches opened up and bleed through the bandages.
"I WARNED YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN" He continued to shout at them as his sisters all hid inside the
ambulance. Even though some might never admit it out loud, In this moment they were scared of him in this
moment.
"BUT, NOOO YOU WOULDN"T LISTEN." Lincoln remembered when he first tried to stop them from letting Lana
do this "JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT TO DO SOMETHING, DOESN'T MEAN THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT JUST
BY ASKING YOU!"
"SO IF YOU EVEN THINK FOR A SECOND THA-" Lincoln stopped a he felt a shaking hand grab the back of his shirt,
He turns to see Lana who looked scared.
"C-can we g-go home?" Lana asks shakily
Lincoln face softened as he calms down he picks her up and gives a small kiss to her forehead
"Of course we can" he says to her before glaring back at his 'parents' "This isn't over"
~Later that night~
The ride back has been tense as no one made a sound. Lana stayed holding onto Lincoln and their parents sat
quietly, though would glance occasionally at them through the rear view mirror.
They had ordered pizza that night but no one was excited for it, they all had trouble eating after what had
happened. They let Lana shower first and then Lincoln as they were covered in mud and blood.
After taking his shower Lincoln decided to go to bed tonight, As he was about to open his door he notice
someone was following him, Looking down he sees Lana who had her hair down and was in clean clothes for a
change.
"Lincoln" Lana ask, fidgeting with her hand "Can I sleep with you tonight?, Please"
"Of course you can" Lincoln opens the door wide and lets her in, Lincoln then tucks her into bed and turns off
the lights, He hears Lana whimper but she stopped as he crawled into bed as she grabbed a hold of him.
Lincoln, seeing how stressed and scared his sister was sang the same lullaby he had done yesterday as he softly
ran his fingers through her hair in a soothing manor, calming Lana as her grip lesses and soon a soft, subtle
breathing was hear as Lana had fallen asleep.
Looking at the sleeping form of his sister Lincoln swore that he would never let this happen again.
"I swear this won't happen again Lana" Lincoln thought "Not to you or our sisters, I Promise"
