Chapter 8 - Lilith True Face

Su Ping stood frozen, stunned by the scene that had just unfolded before him. His eyes remained locked on Lilith,no longer the sweet, beautiful, and alluring girl he had initially perceived. Her crimson eyes, her casual elegance, and the soft smile on her lips now hid something far more terrifying beneath.

He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

"How could someone who looks so gentle… be this dangerous… this cruel?"

But he quickly pulled himself together, shaking the thoughts from his mind. No, he reminded himself, this isn't my old world. This is a fantasy realm—a world where people can fight against thousands, shatter mountains, and split rivers with a single strike. I shouldn't judge anything here by Earth's standards.

As for Lilith…

He narrowed his eyes slightly.

"I forgot… her other title, hidden beneath that seductive figure…"

"The Goddess of Cruelty."

With that, he fell silent, watching as the blood of the Earth Demonic Bear slowly absorbed into Lilith's body. The surrounding air shimmered with faint energy, as though even the ground itself had been marked by her presence.

Suddenly, a crystal emerged near the bear's torn corpse. A soft glow pulsed from within it.

Lilith turned toward it, her expression unchanged, and picked the crystal up. With graceful steps, she walked back through the white membrane and handed it to Su Ping.

He accepted it wordlessly.

The moment the crystal touched his fingers, a blue screen flashed into view before him:

[Object Name: Soul Crystal (of a Fifth-Level Monster of the Mortal Rank)]

[Value: 50 Normal Soul Crystals]

[Do you want to convert it? – Yes / No]

Su Ping's eyes lit up. Fifty! He was overjoyed.

Without hesitation, he selected Yes.

A second notification appeared almost instantly:

[The Unlimited Storage Bag has been activated.]

[The Soul Crystals you obtained have been automatically stored. You may access and use them at any time.]

Su Ping blinked in mild disbelief, then chuckled to himself.

"What a good customer service…"

Even in a world this brutal, some things still managed to make him smile. He pushed down the flicker of joy and began thinking seriously again.

"Now that I've gotten a rough estimate of Lilith's combat power… and seen firsthand how terrifying she can be, I can start considering deploying her for hunts. Once my vampire scouts return with proper information about the surroundings, I can send her out…"

He nodded inwardly at his own thought, then turned his gaze toward the direction the two vampires had gone.

After all, encountering a fifth-rank monster immediately after arriving here gave him a sobering understanding of just how dangerous this region was.

He couldn't help but feel concerned.

Would the scouts return safely?

Worry creeping into his chest, Su Ping opened the regional chat interface, hoping to catch a glimpse of other Lords' experiences perhaps some insight into what kind of threats or opportunities others were facing.
