Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Transmigrating into Qian Xunji

At the far end of Wuhun City, a luxurious yet ancient city steeped in history, stood a towering mountain that reached into the clouds.

This mountain was known as Pope Mountain, and at its summit sat an enormous, majestic palace. Bathed in warm sunlight, the Pope's Palace radiated splendor and magnificence, resembling a paradise on earth.

This palace, called the Pope's Palace, was the residence of the Pope—a sacred title revered by spirit masters across the continent.

Inside a secret chamber of the palace lay a man. He had long, shimmering golden hair, strikingly handsome features, and wore a white and gold robe that exuded both nobility and grace.

This man was Qian Xunji, the only son of the current Pope, Qian Daoliu. At this moment, he lay motionless on the ground—no breath, lifeless. He had, quite literally, died of anger.

Qian Xunji was just over thirty years old and had recently broken through to the Spirit Douluo level. He had eagerly gone to share his joy with his father.

After all, becoming a Spirit Douluo in one's thirties was unprecedented across the entire continent—he was undoubtedly a super-genius.

That's what Qian Xunji believed too. He thought he would continue breaking through, growing stronger, reaching his father's level, and perhaps even achieving the long-standing dream of his clan—inheriting the Angelic Godhood.

But Qian Daoliu's first words were like a bucket of ice water thrown over his head:

> "After obtaining your next spirit ring, you'll inherit the position of Pope."

Qian Xunji was dumbfounded.

> "Father, becoming Pope means dealing with endless affairs every day—it will drastically cut into my cultivation time! I still want to train and fulfill our clan's dream!"

Qian Daoliu turned away, as if unwilling to let his son see the look in his eyes.

> "Forget about inheriting the Angelic Godhood. Just focus on preserving our Wuhun Hall's foundation and passing down the Qian family line."

> "Why, Father? Can you at least tell me why?" Qian Xunji asked urgently. He couldn't understand. Was being a Spirit Douluo in his thirties not good enough?

Qian Daoliu replied calmly:

> "Xun'er, our Qian clan is blessed by the Angelic God. We are born with ten extra innate soul power levels compared to ordinary people. That's why we cultivate far faster than the outside world. Do you know who the youngest Title Douluo on the continent is today?"

Qian Xunji nodded.

> "Yes, Father. It's your old rival, Tang Chen. He reached Title Douluo at just 46."

> "And do you know how old I was when I became a Title Douluo?"

Qian Xunji shook his head. His father was already a Limit Douluo when Qian Xunji was born, at age seventy. No record existed of when the Qian ancestors broke through to Title Douluo.

> "I was two years older than you are now when I reached Title Douluo."

That calm statement hit Qian Xunji like a bolt of lightning. His pupils widened instantly. And then, Qian Daoliu's next words exploded in his mind:

> "And that age, in our family history, isn't even considered particularly impressive."

> "Do you understand now, Xun'er? The outside world reveres the youngest Title Douluo like a god, but in our Qian family, it's nothing. Our ancestral records don't even bother to record such milestones. We don't compare ourselves to mere mortals—we are the bloodline of gods."

Though Qian Daoliu's tone remained serene, the pride and fanaticism in his eyes could no longer be hidden.

> "And among all our ancestors, your breakthrough to Spirit Douluo at your age is… the worst."

The worst. The worst. The worst.

Those words echoed in Qian Xunji's ears like needles piercing his soul.

> "So stop dreaming about inheriting the Angelic Godhood. Let future generations try. As for your cultivation, don't worry. Our bloodline is protected by the Angelic God. Even if your talent is lacking, as long as you possess the Six-Winged Angel spirit, you can still participate in the Divine Trial. Once completed, your power will match mine."

Qian Daoliu waved his hand dismissively.

> "Compose yourself and go obtain your next spirit ring."

Qian Xunji nodded again—his expression now vacant—and returned to his training chamber.

Back in seclusion, as he tried to stabilize his cultivation, Qian Xunji couldn't stop replaying his father's words: the most disappointing descendant in family history. The more he thought about it, the more infuriated, ashamed, and sorrowful he became. His emotions spiraled out of control, disrupting his soul power. A mouthful of blood burst out—and just like that, he died of rage.

---

Moments later, Qian Xunji's eyes suddenly shot open. His once proud and sharp blue pupils now held confusion. His expression was dazed.

> "Where… am I? Why am I here?"

The next second, a splitting headache struck. A torrent of memories surged into his mind.

Douluo Continent. Pope's Palace. Qian Xunji.

Once he understood the situation, his expression darkened.

> "Of all the people I could've transmigrated into… why him?"

He remembered clearly—Qian Xunji, in the original timeline, was the one who forcibly took Bibi Dong's virginity in a secret chamber. As a result, he lost his own and fathered a daughter—someone who would be the only naturally born rank-20 full soul power talent in Qian family history.

At that time, the Wuhun Hall was at its absolute peak: seven worship elders in the Worship Hall, more than ten elders in the Elder Hall. It was strong enough to flatten the entire continent. But what happened after... was simply beyond words.

---

After ten days of closed-door cultivation, fully familiarizing himself with this body, Qian Xunji stepped out of the chamber. Subconsciously, he raised a hand to shield himself from the dazzling sunlight. Scanning the magnificent, almost dreamlike Pope's Palace with his spiritual sense, he sighed.

> "One step at a time."

Of course, when he said "one step at a time," what he really meant was: he still didn't know the exact point on the timeline this Douluo Continent was in. But in his heart, he was confident about Wuhun Hall's future. As long as he stayed alive, even if events played out like the original story, he could still crush threats before they ever blossomed.

Why? Because he was the only brain behind Wuhun Hall.

At present, Wuhun Hall's power was unmatched. Even if Tang Chen risked his life, Qian Daoliu could hold him back, and the rest of the Title Douluos could unleash their ninth spirit abilities from afar. Against such overwhelming force, he doubted Tang Chen could even survive a few breaths.

> "Young Master," a red-robed bishop said respectfully, "His Holiness the Pope asks you to see him immediately upon leaving seclusion."

> "Understood."

Qian Xunji walked toward Wuhun City, but first made a detour to the Wuhun Hall's archive library.

P.S.: Reposting for reference.

The story is already clearly summarized. In the first timeline, Qian Renxue (Tang San) beats up the Shrek Seven Devils of the second timeline. As for Qian Renxue's spirit: Blue Silver Emperor + Two-Winged Angel. Later evolves into Two-Winged Fallen Angel.

As Qian Xunji is technically Tang San's grandfather, bullying your own grandchild would just be embarrassing.

And don't expect him to "guide Qian Renxue on proper values" either. This is a power fantasy novel—double standards beating double standards. Just enjoy the ride.

As for the protagonist's love interest, Bibi Dong is excluded, as already stated. No grooming or disturbing romance here.

We're dropping Ah Yin in as the main love interest. Others can be suggested by readers. If the author feels like it, maybe even some spicy, age-gap relationships. After all, with the Pope's status... is that really a problem?
