Chapter 7 - The King of the Night, Shadow Leopard

"Then I picked up the sweet potato and took a bite. I thought it tasted good, so I brought it back."

The people in the room were completely speechless. Ignorance is fearless. "Your father said that your strength is very close to three thousand kilograms," Wu asked after looking at Mu Bei.

"I should be able to make a breakthrough in these few days," Mu Bei said with a smile.

"The vegetarian food you brought back is very precious. You can make a request, and as long as the tribe has it, we can provide it to you." said the witch.

Mu Bei glanced at his father and said, "I want to go hunting with the hunting team."

"This won't work. The tribe stipulates that those who are not strong enough to be totem warriors cannot go out hunting. The rules cannot be broken. You should think of a new one!" said the witch seriously.

Mu Bei said helplessly: "Then I want the blood of fierce beasts. I hope the tribe can provide me some."

"This should satisfy you. I'll give you some ferocious beast meat later." said the leader.

"Isn't it true that only totem warriors can digest the meat of ferocious beasts?" Mu Bei asked doubtfully.

The leader smiled and said, "You can, just eat a little less each time."

Mu Bei showed a flattering smile on his face and asked: "Wu, can I go around the tribe in the future and adapt to the forest hunting environment first?"

Wu pondered for a moment and said, "You can, but you can only stay outside for three hours a day." Mu Bei said happily, "Thank you, Wu."

Mu Bei is going to get the Imperial Sword this time, so he won't have to worry about being beaten anymore.

"Bei, are there many plants like this in the surrounding forests?" The leader asked Mu Bei who was still grinning foolishly.

"A lot, and it's very useful for ordinary people to fill their stomachs." Mu Bei replied.

"Bei, you go back first!" Li said.

Mu Bei hummed a little tune all the way and soon got home. He picked up the sweet potatoes, cleaned them, put them in the pot and started to cook. Rong and Sang were very curious and watched Mu Bei make a fire and cook the sweet potatoes by himself.

"Second brother, when did you learn to cook?" Rong asked curiously.

"This is not cooking, this is boiling. Just boil the water." Mu Bei said with a smile.

Mu Bei took out the sweet potato and put it on the stone table and said, "Amu, try it and see if it tastes good." Sang looked at Mu Bei with suspicion. The reason was simple. Mu Bei had a criminal record and poisoned his whole family.

Rong couldn't help but take a piece and said incoherently: "Amu, it's so sweet and delicious."

Sang then took a piece and put it in his mouth. Soon his eyes lit up and he said, "This thing looks ugly but tastes good." Soon, a sweet potato weighing several dozen kilograms was quickly devoured by the three of them. Rong touched his belly and said, "I'm so full."

Mu Bei has already planned to dig some more tomorrow to make wine.

"My little sister went to exercise,"

Rong said coquettishly: "Can I not exercise today? I'm too full and don't want to move."

"It seems that you are no longer determined to become a totem female warrior." Mu Bei looked at Rong Dao seriously.

When Rong heard the totem female warrior, he immediately stood up with high morale and said, "Let's go!"

Mu Bei felt the threshold of three thousand jin, but he just couldn't get over it as if it was stuck. Is there something different about three thousand jin? I'll go back and ask my father at night.

Mu Bei and Rong always supported each other after each exercise. Although they recovered quickly, it was impossible for them to recover right after the exercise. Sang followed them with a stick in his hand.

As soon as he got home, Sang started to say, "From now on, if anyone asks me to find them during mealtime, just prepare to get beaten!"

Zhan smiled flatteringly and said, "Mom, I'm the best and have never caused you any worries." Mu Bei and Rong looked at Zhan with contempt, and Mu Bei gave Rong a look.

Rong showed a serious expression and asked, "Brother, you said last time that you would take me out hunting. When are we going to go?"

Zhan saw Am's eyes and looked at himself and immediately shouted: "Little sister, don't talk nonsense. When did I say this?"

Rong Xiao snorted with a straight face, "You don't keep your word. Fortunately, I have witnesses. Second brother was also there at the time." Mu Bei nodded while eating, "Brother, you are a real man. How can you not keep your word?"

After saying that, he glanced at Am and whispered to Rong, "He was talking about it when Am was not around. Big brother was afraid that Am would beat him up, so he didn't dare to admit it."

Am picked up the stick, and Zhan turned and ran out. As he left, he didn't forget to say something harsh: "You two teamed up to trick me, just wait for me."

The next day, when Mu Bei and Rong ran outside, they saw Li directing the hunting team to dig sweet potatoes. The hunting team were all totem warriors, and digging sweet potatoes was much easier than Mu Bei. A small hill was soon piled up on the hillside.

Suddenly, there was a scream from the front, and Li stomped his foot on the ground with a bang, and shot in the direction of the scream, leaving a small hole on the ground. Mu Bei and Rong also hurried to the direction of the scream.

When Mu Bei arrived, the battle was already over. A pitch-black leopard corpse about three meters long was lying on the ground.

"Although this afterimage leopard is only a mid-level ferocious beast, it is relatively difficult to hunt for a mid-level hunter. Because they only appear at night, there should be cubs nearby." Li Xiangmu Bei explained.

"Didn't you ask the witch for the blood of the ferocious beast? It just so happens that this one was just killed. Would you like to drink a few sips first?" Li looked at Mu Bei and smiled.

Mu Bei saw many totem warriors collecting blood from fierce beasts, so he immediately poured out the water in his kettle and ran to the fierce beasts to line up to collect blood. After everyone had collected blood from their kettles, Mu Bei lay on the wound of the Shadow Leopard and drank it in big gulps.

Li walked over and said, "Don't drink too much, this is a mid-level beast."

After listening to this, Mu Bei reluctantly stood up and asked, "Father, have you sent anyone to search for the little Shadow Leopard cub?"

"The little Shadow Leopard doesn't have much meat, so why bring it?" Li said with a smile.

"Let's search around to see if we can find it." The two separated and began to search the surroundings.

Mu Bei and Rong searched for a long time but couldn't find it. Mu Bei was a little unwilling to give up. The cub must be in this area, otherwise the shadow leopard would not risk attacking people.

Mu Bei calmed down and listened carefully to the sounds around him. A weak humming sound came into his ears. Mu Bei quickly determined the location and looked up at the tree. Mu Bei shouted in surprise: "I found it, come here quickly."

Rong asked suspiciously, "Where's the cub?" Mu Bei smiled and said, "It's on the big tree. You hold the stone spear and I'll climb up and take a look."

Mu Bei stepped back, took a running start, pushed his feet against the tree, jumped up hard, grabbed the branch with both hands, and jumped with all his strength, standing firmly on the branch.

Mu Bei quickly found the Shadow Leopard cub on a large tree branch. The little guy hadn't opened his eyes yet, but when he smelled the strange smell, he began to make a whining sound, as if protesting.

Mu Bei picked up the puppy-sized Cang Ying Leopard and jumped down. Rong saw the Cang Ying Leopard cub and immediately took it in his arms. Rong asked in confusion, "Second brother, this one is too small. There is not much meat left after eating it. Why not let it go!"

"Silly sister, such a small animal will die if you let it go. Take it home and raise it first. If you can tame it in the future, you will have an extra helper when you go out hunting." Mu Bei said happily.

"The tribe has tried to tame ferocious beasts and wild beast cubs before, but failed." Rong looked at Mu Beidao.

Mu Bei smiled and said, "Just try it. Eat more meat when you grow up."

Rong held the Shadow Leopard while Mu Bei dug sweet potatoes by himself. This time he dug faster and soon dug three sweet potatoes. Mu Bei tied the sweet potato vines together, threw them hard on his shoulders, and shouted to Rong, "Go home."
