Chapter 1 - ZauRa-LoNt , Golden Heir

Zaura-Lont, the Veiled Flame of Salvation

Titles:

• Zaura-Lont of the Golden Dragons

• The Architect of Dragonus Mondi

• The Veiled Flame

• Traitor of the Golden Lineage (public perception during the war)

• Mother of the Reborn (among dragons in the Mirror Realm)

1. Origin and Background

Zaura-Lont was the first daughter and heir of Zauron, the Golden King, patriarch of the Golden Dragon Clan—the most revered, noble, and magically potent of all draconic lineages. Born in an age where dragons ruled vast skies and deep lands, she was trained from a young age in dragon magic, a powerful, wild force drawn not from study, but from the primal communion between soul, will, and world.

Unlike most dragons, Zaura was drawn to solitude and thought, not conquest. As a young wyrmling, she would often escape from her duties to explore her hidden sanctuary—a place later known as Shang-ri-la, the most mana-rich location on the planet, due to her father's secret protection and her own attunement.

Even in her youth, Zaura's mana resonance was extraordinary. Shang-ri-la's ambient mana levels were higher than any place on the planet: while the average was 20, and the strongest magical sites capped around 67, her hidden grove measured 71, making her presence—and later her design—integral to the birth of the Mirror Realm sanctuary.

2. The Divine War and Her Awakening

When the war between Wizards and Dragons broke out—later escalating into the Divine War with the appearance of the Gods—Zaura stood as a voice of caution and survival. As the dragons and wizards clashed, mortals turned to prayer, and those prayers attracted primordial divine consciousnesses—Personifications of Sun, War, Fire, Light, Purification, and others—who responded by descending into the mortal world, becoming the first Gods.

The devastation they wrought when retaliating for the attack on their clergy changed everything. Half the forces of dragons and wizards were wiped out instantly by divine wrath. Zaura, unlike most of her kind, realized the scope of what they were truly facing—not just a war between factions, but a cosmic threat beyond comprehension.

3. The Grand Plan

In secret, Zaura began crafting the greatest act of draconic defiance and love—a sanctuary beyond the veil of reality. Using her ancestral knowledge and her own immense power, she initiated the creation of the Dragonus Mondi Formation inside the Mirror Dimension, a parallel space only accessible through knowledge held by the Golden Dragons.

Her goal was not conquest.

Her goal was preservation.

• She infused the formation with her own life force, shaping the mountains into a massive magic array that gathered mana from the real world's ambient flow, especially drawing from chaotic mana leaking from the spatial rifts.

• She secretly modified the global mana veil, initially built with the help of the wizards, to also hide the Mirror Dimension and seal it from extra-planar gods.

• She created a soul-mark, hidden within a dragon's essence, which allowed dragons mortally wounded in battle to be drawn into the sanctuary—not in body, but in soul, where they could be reborn in crystal eggs within Shang-ri-la.

This mark was passed as a "communication seal" with the wizards, who never discovered its true purpose.

4. Life in Isolation

While dragons and wizards continued their battle, and the mortals rose under divine blessings, Zaura was alone in the Mirror Realm. Branded a coward and a traitor by her kin—who did not know the truth of her mission—she remained exiled in the sanctuary.

For 1600 years, she maintained the formation by herself, sacrificing much of her own strength to keep the formation operational until it became self-sustaining.

Meanwhile, dragon souls began to trickle into Dragonus Mondi, their conscious selves dormant and broken after death, resting along the mountains until they could be washed by the magic rivers and reborn in crystal eggs at the heart of Shang-ri-la.

5. Personality and Beliefs

Originally compassionate, wise, and strategic, centuries of isolation and mental strain working on complex multidimensional magic changed Zaura deeply.

• She still loves her kin, but now sees all other races as lesser—not out of arrogance, but from a hardened belief born from years of self-imposed martyrdom.

• She fears the gods—not their power alone, but their alien nature and the way they use mortals to anchor themselves into this world.

• She believes only dragons, born of the wild and tempered in chaos, can withstand the world's future.

6. Legacy and Impact

Zaura-Lont is the unsung mother of dragon survival:

• While the world believes the dragons were nearly wiped out, Zaura preserved a hidden lineage in the mirror dimension.

• She tricked the entire world—including the gods, wizards, and even her fellow dragons—into believing the mana was being swallowed by the rifts, when in fact it was fueling the formation in another dimension.

• Her actions ensured that the Dragon Continent of old (Gandera) in the real world would become a low-mana wasteland, while the mirror version became the most mana-rich sanctuary in the world: Shang-ri-la.

7. Present Status

Zaura still lives.

But she is no longer the brilliant golden heir hiding in a grove. She is now the sole flame burning in the mountains of Dragonus Mondi, a being of great wisdom and deep sorrow, respected by those reborn dragons who begin to awaken around her—but not yet fully understood by them.

Her full motives may remain obscured… and her future actions uncertain.
