Where am I?!?
The pale man stumbled to his feet, awakening on damp, cold soil. His black hair flew back in the wind as his gaze locked onto the swirling sky. It was an amalgamation of impending stars swirling into each other.
Dressed in a loose fitting suit, Thames found horror fill his face.
Too realistic for a dream..
Thames thoughts trailed off as he noticed something in the distance. Something underneath the stars, other than him. Atop of a hill stood a looming giant. A being reaching into the swirling stars, their back turned to Thames.
Look at it.
An unfamiliar voice creeped into his head. It was an unholy symphony of many different people. Thames went to grab his ears out of instinct, but found himself slowly walking towards the giant.
With every step he took the ground shook, the sky of stars crackled, and the giant reached further into the growing cosmos.
Stop! Stop!
He urged his legs to cease their march, but his own body betrayed him. under the soft soil, his feet finally reached the bottom of the hill.
I said stop, damnit!
Cast your gaze upon-
The same unfamiliar hellish harmony of voice entered his ears, but as it goes to finish its sentence it abruptly cuts off.
Shake! Crackle! BOOM!
The entire area exploded in noises as the giant began to turn towards Thames. It's finger which was stretched into the sky now pointed at the fear stricken man.
Easily over 100 meters tall, it had the body of a man. In its left hand was an opened book. Its lips were soft, but the eyes of the being were wrapped tightly in a blindfold.
The black robes, which beared resemblance to a night gown, flapped in the wind.
Its mouth opened and the furious sky came to a halt. The hair on the back of Thames' neck stood up as all noise ceased.
Do not gaze at-
Thames' eyes shook as the space around the two began to collapse. The slurry of stars in the sky fell from his grasp, and he felt the soft soil beneath his feet sink. Past the giant, Thames saw the surroundings masked in a black fog vanish.
What?!? What's happening?!?
Panic filling his chest, he began to turn swiftly, attempting to find any way out. The ground as far as he could see was vanishing into thin air and the giant stood unmoving. As the collapse creeped upon him, he gazed down.
Below the ground he saw a swirling black energy. It sucked in the stars which were previously motionless.
Thud!
He fell on his back as he hurriedly pushed himself away from the growing edge, and up the hill towards the giant. As he neared the legs of the blindfolded reader he felt his arms lose strength.
Shit! Don't stop now!
His mind cried out, but his muscles protested. Giving up on his arms, he flips over to his stomach. Attempting to kick himself towards the top of the hill.
Looking up, he notices the right hand of the being point its palm at him. As it outstretched it arm, his body paralyzes.
Why?!? Stop this! Don't let me-
His thought ends abruptly as he feels the ground vanish. Falling into the black swirling void which consumed the stars, looking up he sees the reading giant stare back at him.
It was not meant to be.
The voices linger in his head one final time as everything fades to black.
