Chapter 2 - For real?

Sitting down, I realized I was just powerless. I can only wait on Big one and Big two and hopefully they will let me go.

Looking around me, I realized that this place was just a make shift one. There was a large cloth, each end tied to a tree. I guess this was their way to protect themselves against the rain and scorching sun. There was also a fire in front of me.

Soon Big one and two returned and they were carrying along some small animals which looked like rabbits only that these rabbits had four hind legs and a horn on their heads. I looked at the animals astonished, I swear I have never seen rabbits like these before. Again I thought to myself. Where the hell am I?

Once again I tried conversing with Big one and Big two only to be ignored. They talked between themselves and they were very loud. I decided to focus on their words, hoping at least to be able to pick up anything useful. I prided myself in my ability to learn languages at the very least as being a lover in history, this was an essential skill to have.

There was a mouth watering fragrance as the meat of the rabbit like animal roasted over the flames. To my joy, I was served a portion of the meat along with some white liquid which I assumed to be milk. Big two came and freed my hands. I finished the meal with relish. Both Big one and Big two ate huge portions amounting to almost thrice what I had.

After the meal I saw both Big one and Big two started sparring. First with their hands then with the sword and club. They were evenly matched. Each swing of both the club and the sword gave me goosebumps as I remembered the feeling of the club landing on my head. After about 15 mins, they both put away their weapons and then facing each other I saw a scene that flabbergasted me.

Big One stamped the ground with his right leg and then the earth below him literally rose to about 5 feet tall as it then moved towards Big two seemingly intent on burying him. Big two then made a stamp with his feet as well and from him an equally large earth wave as I call it arose from the ground. Both earth waves cancelled each other out but my mouth was still left agape.

What! Where the fuck am I? Deep down I now knew I'm not on my own planet earth anymore. First the unknown language spoken between Big One and Big two, then the rabbit like animals which I have never seen before and now power to move the earth. Holy fuck !

My mind now thinking so fast. The little bit of security I felt earlier of them not wanting to kill me now gone. As I know I'm no longer on earth, who is to be sure that I won't be killed. What law is there here to protect me? As these thoughts rushed through my brain, I truly felt afraid. What should I do to stay alive? Why have Big one and two kept me alive? At the least I'm sure I won't be food otherwise they would not have bothered to hunt the rabbit like animals. I forced myself to calm down. Firstly, I need to be able to converse with them I told myself.

The next few days were the same. They each took turns to stand watch during the night while the other slept. After half the night, they would then switch. In the mornings they would go hunting and come back by late evening with the rabbit like animals. Everyday they untied me during this once a day meal time only to tie me up again after the meal. Multiple times I tried to converse but only to be ignored. A gut feeling in me told me that I was bound to be sold not long in the future. What will happen then? I doubled down in trying to pick up the language, focusing each time I heard them speak. My now white lab coat has since turned brownish green from the me sleeping on the ground and grass. Next to me were my waste, the rancid smell increasing everyday but it no longer bothered me as finding ways to stay alive was now my utmost priority.

A few more days passed and everything was routine for Big one and Big Two. This night when Big One was asleep, and Big Two taking a stroll, most likely guarding and watching the perimeter, I saw a small snake like animal. This animal had two heads like a cobra. Only difference is the two heads were at opposite ends. Where the tail should have been, there was another head. It was green in color and it was well camouflaged in the grass and because it was night it was even harder to spot. I was only lucky to have seen the animal as it was quite near the fire. It seemed to head towards the sleeping Big One.

Many thoughts rushed into my head at this moment. Would it actively attack the sleeping Big One? Was it poisonous? If something happened to Big One, would Big Two then pour all his anger on to me. During these days, although they argued a lot, I could tell that their relationship was very close almost like brothers.

I took a deep breath and then shouted the loudest I ever had. This startled the sleeping Big One and he immediately jumped and looked at me warily. Using my eyes and head I frantically tried to point out the snake to him. He looked at me and then looked at the direction I was looking at. He saw the snake and cursed out. I figured it was a curse from the tone. He hurriedly picked up his sword and made some calling sounds. In a few mins Big Two also arrived. The head and tail of the snake was both now almost standing up almost like how a cobra would react before attacking.

To my surprise, it was the snake who attacked first. I was expecting it to shoot poison like some cobras would on earth but instead from both heads there was a ball of flame which shot out from it's mouths. Each ball of flame directed towards both Big One and Big Two.

The two brothers deftly dodged the fireball as it hurtled towards the nearby trees. I then saw the balls penetrating the trunk of the trees. Immediately I figured that there was indeed poisonous acid coating the balls of flames. One hit of the fire ball and bye bye.

The snake did not immediately spit out another fireball. I guess there is a time limit before it could use the same attack again. Big One and Big Two seem to know this too as they rushed in towards the snake. One sword slicing through the air as it severed one head of the snake and the wooden club smashing the other head of the snake. The snake twitched a few times before being completely still. I knew it was dead.

Big One and Big Two then started talking and laughing before I saw Big One pointing to me. I can only assume that he was explaining that my shout woke him up and saved his life.

Big one came up to me, bowed his head and said some words which I can only assume to be thank you. He then cut off the vines binding both my hands and legs but pointed towards my makeshift bed. I can only assume that he said to rest here and don't go anywhere.
