Oh my God! yelled Mr Carter, I can't believe I have lost my precious jewel at the cold hands of death. He cried profusely , what a cruel world. Where do I start from, whom do I look UpTo for the upbringing of the sexaplets. I am just a weary old man.
Miss Rose who was a trained midwife and also an old friend to Mr Carter, realizing his daughter has given up the ghost after bringing seven lovely babies to the world could not help but wonder how Mr Carter would care for them. She went close to him to console him on the demise of his daughter and also assures him that all will well. Katherine, the beloved daughter of Mr Carter was raped while on her way back from high school by an unknown man. She was so depressed that she became a shadow of herself. Despite the fact that her father welcomed her with love and advice her not to let the incident get to her. But Katherine was so bittered that she cried all day long, wishing death to come to her, due to the stigma on rape victims.
As if that was not enough, Katherine missed her period, and decided to run a pregnancy test,and it came out positive. She felt like the ground should swallow her. She never expected this to happen and she never wanted to be a single mother at eighteen years old. She feels she is still too young to carry the weight of pregnancy .
Carter advices his precious daughter to keep the pregnancy, as he was against abortion. After what seemed like an unending war between father and daughter, Katherine decided to keep the baby. She does not want to make her aged father sad.
After few weeks, Katherine resumed back to school ,and was doing quite well in her education , although she was not happy due to the circumstances surrounding her presently. She continued schooling till she was three months gone. The doctor advices her to put a hold on her education for now, after giving birth she can resume back to school. But as for now, she needs enough rest and a healthy lifestyle. She concurred with the doctor and stopped going to school.
Katherine registered for ante-natal in the hospital, and was going on the speculated days. She adhered to the guidelines given to her by the doctor . After few weeks past, she decided to do a scan on her pregnancy to determine the sex of the child in her womb.
Then the alarming news that sent cold chills run down her spine was let loose.
"Congratulations Miss Katherine, you are expecting seven babies, your womb is truly blessed".
Katherine was speechless, she does not know whether to accept the news as good news or bad news. She said to herself, I have not finished digesting the fact that I got pregnant through rape and by a man I don't know, I can't recognize. Then boom, I'm expecting seven babies. She cried uncontrollably that the Nurses and doctors went close to her to console her. They assured her that it's going to be fine. She should be strong for her kids.
Nine months later,Katherine was in labour, and her aged father rushed her to the hospital, she had the babies through an emergency caesarean section. Although she did her best to live for her babies but nature has another plan for her. She died after the seventh baby was removed from her womb. The doctors broke the sad news to her father, who started wailing tears of sorrow and talking to himself in soliloguy.
Furthermore, Katherine's body was deposited in the hospital's morgue while her father with the help of Miss Rose, carried the babies home. They were all male children and very identical that you can't tell the difference from the other. Mr Carter not knowing the name he will give them, and at the same time confused on what to do and how to take care of them. He named them after the Days of the Week. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
He sought the help of Miss Rose, who promised to live with him till the boys were 5 years old, so that she can cater for them and take good care of them. Carter was so happy that he hugged Miss Rose.
Two years has passed and the boys have grown a little. Carter trained them with love, honesty and discipline. He has to employ a teacher to take the sexaplets on private home tutorial. So that when the resume school, they will be conversant with the letters of the alphabeth and the numerical timetable.
The sexaplets were doing marvelously well in the private tutorial that they look forward to going to school. Years has passed, the government of the country ordered the killing of twins due to overpopulation in the country. Carter has no choice but to hide his sexaplets whenever the soldiers come to his house to search for any present twins. Apart from the doctor and nurses in the hospital Miss Rose and the Private lesson teacher no one in the country knew Carter has sexaplets, his own grand children. He loves them so much that he hides them from the public eyes and placed a strict rule for his grand children to follow. The rules are, they are not allowed to go out and mingle with other people, and if they must go out, each of them will go out on the day they bear the name. For example his grand child Monday, will go out only on Mondays, same applies to Tuesday till Sunday. And these sexaplets have their special unique qualities in them.
Monday is a goal getter, he goes out on Mondays, to look for a job or menial jobs, he can help to do, so as to get money ,so that he will use the money to purchase groceries and natural food at home for their consumption. Tuesday is a computer guru, he is an ICT specialist and also a hacker. He installed all CCTV footage camera around the house so that he can be monitoring the movement of people around their house. Wednesday is a good cook, very homely and can multitask to ensure all house chores is being carried out on each day. He is in charge of cooking and feeding in the house. Thursday is a karate champion, he is a fighter in action, if you look for any of his brothers trouble, Thursday will beat the hell out of the person till they person apologises to the victim he oppressed. Friday is very sluggish, sleeps a lot and don't participate in the running of the house. All he does is to sleep , wake up, eat, play games and sleep again. Saturday is a medical doctor, a gynaecologist to be precised. He treats every member of his household that are sick. Sunday loves women and flirts too much. But he has a good heart and is always there to assist in the house when the need arises
