Alaric sighed—the same question was getting on his nerves and the woman was insisting on wanting to know the real him. He blocked, dodged and evaded attacks from her while trying to reason with her that he was Alaric nothing more, his name was documented in the Hunter Association records unless they were actually removed due to taking that long in Seoul? He raised his hand and held her foot before spinning on his heel and throwing Black away from him.
Black did a full flip and came to a skidding halt—her breathing now a bit higher from the relentless assaults she was sending his way. She got up to her full height and took off her top, she folded the sleeves of her shirt and got into a fighting stance. "Are you going to answer me?"
Alaric was beyond annoyed at this point, he looked at the woman and let out a groan. "Would you give it a rest? Let me ask you, since you wanted to know who I am, what happened to the names of all the Hunters that were sent to the cataclysmic tower from three years ago?"
[That would be unwise to tell her. Also the scan of her is complete, the ability she often uses is the same as the one you use.]
Body enhancement huh?
[yes]
Black raised an eyebrow at the question asked. "From what the chairman told me, all three hundred names were erased from public and Hunter records by the government and the association, why ask?"
Alaric's lips thinned—when they were first deployed to the tower, they were told it was SSS+ tower, still a threat to humanity but when they went further into the tower, they started to realize that the SSS+ rating the Association and the government had given was false.
So why? Why was that, their names were erased?
[In my analysis, it seems like someone is trying to hide something important from the public. Perhaps they had knowledge that it was a suicidal quest that's why they gave false rating.]
Why?
[Uncertain, want me to investigate further?]
Yes please do so.
Black watched as Alaric dazed out for a brief moment. "Why did you ask that question."
Alaric knew the conditions behind his profound power, and the voice in his head, he was not to tell everything about him explicitly. "Because I'm the survivor of that tower."
Black's eyes widened and her hands fell to her sides limply. There was a survivor in that three hundred hunters? Three years ago, the tower crippled the power of south Korea when their best hunters were recorded deceased and here she was, standing in the face of someone who had survived the tower, and returned home.
That explained alot of things.
How the man was able to withstand her attacks, because from official secret docket files, the tower was beyond SSS+, not even high rank hunters such as herself had the potential to beat it and three hundred SS+ to SSS+ hunters were ushered to their death like that.
"How did you survive?" Black asked, still trying to grasp how he survived a tower with 0.01% chance of survival.
"I'm not sure myself." Alaric replied withholding as much information from the woman as possible.
"Interesting, to think you'd survive." Another voice interrupted Alaric and Black causing them to crane their heads and look around for its origin.
The belly of the sky split into two, then into four and each end extended outward causing a tear in the surface of the sky and within an empty void came out a man with ash blonde hair, blue eyes with black scalera and long canine teeth. He wore a formal two piece suit and had the sleeves rolled up to his elbows—on his back was a white circle with magatama's on each ring.
Black jumped next to Alaric and stared at the man suspended in the air. "Who are you? And what do you mean to think you'd survive?"
The man laughed, his laughter carrying the extent of his aura, casually causing the mountain Black cracked to crumble unto itself. "I'm but a messenger of the gods, and what I mean is that the tower was supposed to belong to a great ancient force that even predates the creation of this very planet. With a survivor, things will become problematic, as such the sovereigns had sent me Juyk Soon-Tung to get rid of him."
"Are you done?" Alaric asked, his hands by his sides and the Twin Blades of Darkness materialized within his palms. His eyes remained fixed on the man and his aura ready to explode out of him.
Black seeing the serious look on Alaric prepared herself for the inevitable clash with the man named Juyk.
"I'd say so but not quite." Soon-Tung said from behind Alaric and Black, shocking the two as they did not see him move. He placed his hands on the ground and delivered two kicks to Alaric and Black respectively.
Alaric and Black were forced to block the kicks but the force behind them caught the two offguard, and it shot them a couple of feet away from Soon-Tung. Alaric was the first to regain his balance and he charged at Soon-Tung using his speed enhancement skill to boost his natural speed, phasing out of sight for a bit only to appear before Soon-Tung with his blades switched in his hands and he delivered downward slashes aiming to cut the man.
Soon-Tung raised his forearm and a loud clang echoed as his forearm held the two daggers at bay despite the downward force Alaric had given them. "If this is everything you have, the sovereigns were wrong to be scared." He raised his other hand and held a punch from Black.
He opened his hand causing Black to stagger forward, and delivered a swift kick to Black, sending her flying away—following the kick, he brought up his hand in rapid succession and hit Alaric on the face sending the man flying into the distant mountain tops.
Alaric hit the mountain and coughed from the impact before stabilizing himself. He did not have enough time before Soon-Tung landed where he was destroying the mountain top. Soon-Tung looked at his knee and he then looked at Alaric who had distanced himself. "You are fast dragon."
[Sir, it is unwise to play around anymore. He knows of your title. Want to use draconian aura?]
Yeah
[On it]
Alaric fixed his posture and the swords vanished to his inventory. He breathed in—and a wave a aura exploded from him and stretched to the sky warping around and making the clouds gather above, dragon scales layered his body and darkness seeped from his claws covering him around and it made a one wing. "I'm done playing."
Alaric flickered out of sight and appeared at the left of Soon-Tung who twisted around to hit him only his hand to go through that image—Alaric appeared on Soon-Tung blindspot and he struck the man on the ribs with all the force his leg could generate sending a shockwave of aura into Soon-Tung sending him crashing into the mountain.
Soon-Tung got up from the rubble, his torso torn apart yet starting to stitch itself back up.
"That's more like it."
