Chapter 6 - Lunch Time

Kaitlyn grabbed her coat and bag from the rack and knocked before going into his office.

"Can I ask why you need me for lunch?" She asked shyly, wondering if this was going to be an everyday occurrence, praying it wouldn't be.

"I need a witness." He said not looking at her. His suit jacket was resting on his chair, leaving him with 2/3 of his suit and giving the young woman a marvellous view of his muscles that filled in his shirt perfectly.

Kaitlyn felt her throat close, making it harder to swallow.

He stood up abruptly and put on his jacket. "Shall we?" He said, earning a short nod from Kaitlyn, making her turn around to the door; in an instant, he was beside her, his scent filling her nostril, his hand hovering behind, not touching her but guiding her to the door.

Suddenly the sturdy, 5'7 woman felt small and clumsy as she walked out of the office. They walked past Taylor at the front desk, and she mouthed a 'sorry.' While Taylor greeted Mr

Lennox.

Taylor gave her an understanding look, not too surprised that she'd be busy for lunch. Most of his former assistants were busy for lunch as well. They stood in front of the elevator, Kaitlyn wanting so badly to excuse herself and take the stairs, but standing this close to him her words were caught in her throat.

The elevator door slid open, and the people in it greeted him and walked out; it was obvious to Kaitlyn that they were not at their stop.

They both walked in, Kaitlyn walking very carefully because his legs felt weak. She took a deep breath as the elevator door closed, holding her breath as the walls felt too close even though the elevator could fit over 15 people and still have space left.

"I don't think you can avoid me, Kaitlyn." She suddenly heard him say and she felt her heart stop. His voice was velvety smooth, dreamlike yet demanding. He spoke so certainly, no trace of doubt or uncertainty in his voice.

She felt his hand snake around her waist. With his strong hand around her, her waist looked barely over 30 centimetres. Her breathing was now audibly haggard, the room feeling various degrees hotter.

Now more than ever her voice was caught in her throat, and she begged her mind to shut up as her sinful desires now hunted her even more as he stood next to her, barely 4 inches away. If she couldn't bring herself to turn to face him, she already knew the effect his compelling voice had on her.

She also couldn't take any steps away from him, his touch rendered her immobile. Finally, the elevator door dinged open and she finally felt oxygen fill her lungs again. Finally being open to the public, her sense of reasoning stepped in, and she walked out, distancing herself, but not for long.

She felt him walk beside her again, his intoxicating scent even more intense. She had come to realize that there were two sides to Rollex Lennox at least two sides she had seen.

Thankfully, even though he thought it was right to keep the two sides separate, being overly professional with her when it came to work, then outside of work, he was exactly like the man

who came up for tea. A proper gentleman, holding the car door open for her and offering to turn up the heat in the car

when he noticed she was cold.

It was hard to separate his two personalities, but now that he was being considerate and attentive, sitting opposite her in a beautiful restaurant, all she saw was the man who kissed her

so patiently in the kitchen.

"You look beautiful in blue." He complimented them, and she felt hot again, even in the very spacious restaurant.

"Thank you." She sighed, feeling all sorts of wrong. Even though he seemed so different, she couldn't completely forget that he was her boss. She was his assistant and this was a meeting.

"Can you be the woman who invited me up for tea a night ago?" He asked. Leaning closer, making her move back and face her plate of food. In public it was easier to resist him.

"You are Rollex Lennox, CEO of Rollex enterprise, business tycoon, and young multi-billionaire, and you are also my boss." She argued, gathering enough courage to look up at him, hoping her demeanour wasn't as weak as she felt under his intense gaze.

She truly felt powerless when he looked at her, yet she hoped she masked it well.

"Let me be the man you invited up for tea, just for a night Kaitlyn." He said, pronouncing her first name perfectly without any flaw.

She had thought of him calling her Kaitlyn weakened her knees,

but hearing him pronounce her name perfectly made her struggle to keep the mask on.

"I am your assistant." She said, her voice coming out only a bit louder than a whisper.

"You are my beautiful assistant and it is taking a lot of restraint to keep things professional." He confessed, his words stunning her. His words sounded too honest to be a fib. Her eyes were caught on his again, and suddenly, she felt her restraints being held up by a thin thread.

"We should keep things professional. She said out loud, her words sounding more like a piece of advice to herself than a statement.

"Is that what you wish for?" He asked, his eyes even 10 times more compelling, forcing the truth out of her she didn't want to admit to herself.

She wanted him, maybe more than he did her. His lips on hers had stayed permanently engraved in her mind since that night, the feeling of his warm lips on her neck still replayed in her mind whenever she shut her eyes.

She craved more, wanting to know how gifted his hands were and just how many moans he could earn from holding her.

His scent lingered, making her throat close up as she remembered just how close he was to her just barely 3 days ago.

She craved that closeness, even though she knew it was wrong. Then as she looked at those eyes, those eyes she saw closed up barely 2 inches away from her that night, right before he latched his lips on hers, she almost confessed that she wished for him.

"Mr. Lennox." She said out loud, her voice reminding her of who sat in front of her, reminding her of the facts.

"Lennox." He corrected her. "Call me Lennox when we are alone."

It was hard to resist him with his voice so calm, so musical. 'How could a man be so alluring?' She thought to herself.

"Our guest will be here any minute now. Excuse me." She said getting up without hearing another word from him and almost raving to the restroom.

Safely in the restroom, she could make more sense of her thoughts. Far from his intoxicated scent, she felt more sensible, far more grounded. She had more space to think properly, to think logically. Without his compelling eyes making her completely powerless, she took deep breaths, steadying herself as she looked into the mirror, counting to 3 and back, praying their 1:40 wouldn't waste any more time.

Feeling more confident Kaitlyn walked back to the table, thankful when she saw the other suited man and Lennox already discussing, the man talking animatedly while her boss made

comments and nods and took a sip of his drink now and then.

"Good afternoon." Kaitlyn interrupted, greeting the middle-aged man with a professional tight-lipped smile.

He eyed her, not hiding the fact that he was checking her out, his eyes doing a 180 on his boobs then a perverted grin graced his face as he looked back up to look at her face just as she sat down.

She took her side beside the stiff Lennox who noticed the man's actions.
