Chapter 11 - Treaty of Shadows

On a gloomy, gray morning, the senior leaders of Darkol gathered in the grand hall of the imperial palace. The place buzzed with tense whispers, held breaths waiting for the word that would shake the entire continent. Emperor Silios stood on the platform, his piercing eyes scanning the crowd with cold, unwavering confidence.

"We have achieved what we promised. Darkol is not just an empire, but a force that cannot be ignored." He paused briefly, then declared in a clear, firm voice: "Today, we announce that we possess the weapon 'Lilah the Deadly,' a power that will redraw the map of wars in our continent. These are not mere threats, but harsh reality. Whoever dares to stand against Darkol will face inevitable judgment."

Cheers and applause erupted inside the hall, but outside the palace walls, news of the announcement quickly spread among the other kingdoms. In the kingdoms of Aaron, the situation worsened. After weeks of discussions and pressure, Aaron's leaders reluctantly signed a coercive treaty with harsh terms to avoid aggression against Darkol, including strict sanctions on their military and political movements.

Sadness hung over the streets of Aaron, where people watched their government surrender with tearful eyes. Voices of opposition grew louder, while rulers struggled to maintain their footing under oppression and pressure.

On the other side, reactions among the great powers kept coming. New alliances formed—some striving to maintain peace at all costs, others preparing their arsenals for an inevitable war. The sounds of conflict rose, and the horizon grew dark and stormy.

Inside Darkol's palace, Rain sat in a dark room, staring at the sparkling city lights. Despite his growing power, he felt the heavy weight of his limitations. He had witnessed the boundaries of his strength in the Cyber battle and felt an urgent need to transcend those barriers.

As he drifted in thought, a strange man entered with quiet steps, carrying in his eyes a mysterious and overwhelming power. His face was unfamiliar, but his calm presence commanded attention.

"Rain," the man began confidently, "I am Malik, the strongest sorcerer in the world, and director of the Great Academy, which remains neutral amid the storms of wars and conflicts."

Rain hesitated, but for the first time in a long while, he felt a glimmer of hope.

"I have lost my memories, but my power has not lost its shine. The Academy is not just a place of learning, but a refuge for those who seek to control their destiny."

Malik approached Rain and offered him a proposition that could change his life completely: a chance to join the Academy, where he could gain the power and knowledge he needed to face his fate.

Rain looked at the shadows playing on the walls, then at himself, realizing this decision might be a new beginning—or perhaps an inescapable trap.

In the end, he raised his hand with a mixture of determination and caution and said, "I will accept the opportunity. But I will not leave behind what I have built."
