After several months of taking things slow and trying to heal from my previous breakup, I ended up in a new relationship—this time with a 15-year-old girl from Bangladesh I met on Moii, a dating app.

We started off with some casual chatting, and eventually, we had a video call. When her face appeared on the screen, my initial excitement faded. She wasn't exactly my type, and I couldn't shake the thought that she wasn't as attractive as I'd hoped.

But instead of ending things right there, I decided to give it a try. Maybe I was just being too picky or afraid of starting over. Either way, I convinced myself it was worth a shot.

A week later, she sent me a reel with the message: "If you like me, just say so." My reaction was a mix of confusion and frustration. I thought, "Why should I just propose out of nowhere?" But after mulling it over, I figured it was easier to go along with it than deal with the hassle of finding someone new. Big mistake.

The next day, I proposed to her. To my surprise, she accepted. I guess she saw me as a catch, considering how often does a guy like me come around? But things quickly took a turn for the worse.

One of the major issues was her schedule. She would only come online from 11 PM to 3 AM, which meant I had to stay up late just to talk to her. It was exhausting and quickly became a huge inconvenience. Note to self: avoid girls with such late-night habits.

During Ramadan, I mentioned that I could send her 150 rupees for Eid. Her response was startling: "150 rupees? What?" She went on to explain that her Eid suit cost 1500 rupees. Her father was a businessman, and her expectations were way out of my league. I was taken aback and didn't know how to handle it.

As I tried to make sense of it all, I realized that this relationship was becoming more trouble than it was worth. Her demands and our mismatched expectations made it clear that it was time to end things. So, I decided to break up. It was another reminder that sometimes it's better to walk away from a relationship that isn't working out. I needed to focus on finding someone who was a better fit and avoid getting caught up in relationships that didn't align with my values. With that decision, I closed the chapter on this latest attempt, hoping that eventually, I would find a connection that felt right..
