The Shattered Rose

The empty damp plains stretch farther than the eye can see, looking almost as if there was no end, just pure darkness. Standing in such a dim place felt so heavy on her shoulders and she wished for nothing else but for the feeling to perish along with everything else left. Crying in the darkness she begged the other gods among her for history to never repeat the tragic incident in which the present found itself. Without any pity they dismissed her to an endless oblivion. Knowing her current life was fluttering to ashes she planted a single seed in the simple darkness making her will to return one day, born as a human and no longer as a god. Quite tired of the other foolish entities mocking and laughing at her struggle she took her life hoping for the best. In doing so her body collapsed atop of the seed she planted which in reality was a piece of her soul. After some time the corpse clearly decayed and faded yet the seed moved beneath the ground. For years she rested beneath the ground and traveled to the world below. Thousands of years pass and eventually she starts to bloom, not as a god, nor human, but a simple rose. Full of thorns, bristles, and vines that contained the heartbeat from the lord above. Eventually humans were in search for the unknown yet rumored flower that symbolizes peace, vulnerability, and death.
