Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Ultimate Copycat Emperor System

"Mr. Park, once you sign this share inheritance agreement, you'll inherit 100% of the company shares. From this moment forward, you'll be the chairman of Hansung Corporation."

In a modest office in Gangnam, a young lawyer wearing wire-rimmed glasses placed a document before Park Minho.

Park Minho naturally picked up the inheritance agreement, reading it carefully. This was the legacy left to him after his "cheap father" had died eight days ago from overwork—a tragically common fate in Korea's corporate culture.

Park Minho barely knew his biological father. After all, he had just transmigrated or been reborn back to 2004, initially thinking he could live the luxurious chaebol heir lifestyle he'd always dreamed of.

Instead, he received news that his father had unfortunately died from stress-induced illness.

With no other choice, he played the role of a dutiful son with a bewildered expression, kneeling in the funeral hall for days while countless relatives and business associates came to pay their respects in traditional Korean fashion.

It took a full eight days. After the traditional mourning period, he finally had time to handle other matters once his father was properly buried. That's why this scene was unfolding now.

"Finally time to collect the inheritance."

Although he couldn't become a proper chaebol heir living the dream life of beautiful women, luxury cars, and exclusive Gangnam nightclubs, inheriting a company out of nowhere was still a promising start.

He examined the company's relevant materials and the total value of his newly acquired assets.

From the documents, Park Minho had inherited very little liquid cash from his father—less than 200 million won in total.

However, he did inherit a large villa in the wealthy Gangnam district, plus a Mercedes-Benz company car.

This comprised everything Park Minho had inherited besides the company itself.

Nodding with satisfaction, Park Minho continued reviewing the other inherited assets.

The company he inherited was singular: Hansung Technology Corporation.

As its name suggested, Hansung Technology was a tech company currently focused on mobile phone manufacturing and sales—a booming industry in Korea's rapidly digitalizing economy.

While the company's strength didn't rank among the top 30 in Korea's mobile phone industry, it was still just a small mobile phone manufacturer.

But it maintained a solid reputation in Seoul and surrounding provinces, even throughout Gyeonggi Province.

Since Hansung Technology's establishment and production began in March 2003, through April 2004, it had sold over 100,000 mobile phones in just over a year.

Averaging 6,600 mobile phone sales monthly, it was well-known throughout the region. However, in this era, selling 100,000 phones annually still qualified as a small company.

Because currently, from 2000 to the present, Saehan Mobile—which had continuously dominated domestic mobile phone sales—sold 11.75 million units in 2003 alone. That was 117 times Hansung's sales volume!

Looking down, Park Minho examined other company details.

When this company was established last year, the initial investment exceeded 3 billion won, providing an excellent foundation.

His father had previously worked in real estate development but suddenly abandoned that industry last year for unknown reasons.

He sold most of his real estate company shares and established this mobile phone company—Hansung Technology Corporation.

Facts proved his father possessed genuine business vision. After the company's establishment, it caught the technological wave and developed smoothly.

Before 1999, mobile phones were dominated by foreign brands like Motorola and Nokia, but since 2000, Korea's domestic mobile phone industry had developed rapidly.

From modest beginnings in 2000 to the peak period in 2003, domestic manufacturers led by Saehan and KyungTech officially defeated foreign mobile phone manufacturers in the Korean market.

At the peak of domestic mobile phones in 2003, market share exceeded 50%, completely crushing foreign competitors.

But this success naturally attracted devastating retaliation!

Domestic mobile phone sales crushing foreign brands successfully focused all international mobile manufacturers' attention on Korea.

They targeted this booming 50-million-person market, and with just minimal effort, domestic brands were naturally wiped out!

Counting the mobile phone brands that could survive the coming smartphone era, virtually none of the current domestic manufacturers would remain!

Korean domestic mobile phone manufacturers had grown accustomed to turnkey solutions provided by MediaTek and other chipset providers. They were used to having everything handed to them, showing no intention of developing core proprietary technology.

So when facing the smartphone era requiring massive investment and complete industrial transformation, they could only meet total annihilation. This was the fate of lacking core technology and relying on others!

Withdrawing from these thoughts, Park Minho carefully examined various contract details.

After thoroughly reviewing and confirming nothing was problematic with the share inheritance agreement, Park Minho signed his name with satisfaction and pressed his seal—the Korean way.

From this moment, Park Minho officially became chairman of this company, successfully acquiring a mobile phone company with a current market value exceeding 4 billion won!

Of course, this 4-billion-won mobile phone company was merely a small player in the industry.

Last year alone, Saehan Company invested a terrifying 25.8 billion won in advertising expenses!

Their advertising budget alone could buy 6.4 companies like Hansung Mobile. This was the strength of Korea's NO.1 domestic mobile phone sales champion!

So Park Minho's journey would be extremely challenging. Although he inherited a company worth over 4 billion won, this strength was insignificant before the real industry giants.

If the major players wanted to crush him, they need only apply slight pressure to destroy Hansung Company entirely!

"Mr. Park, my work is completed. If you need legal assistance in the future, please call me anytime."

The lawyer bowed respectfully in Korean fashion and handed Park Minho a business card, which he accepted with equal formality.

This lawyer named Tang Seok was reliable. He hadn't played any tricks during the share inheritance process and could be considered trustworthy.

He was destined to work in technology business, inevitably dealing with lawyers. Although when his company grew larger, he would establish his own legal department, before that he needed to maintain good relationships with external lawyers for potential legal matters.

So lawyer Tang Seok earned Park Minho's recognition and was selected as his first choice for legal consultation.

"Click."

The door closing sound echoed, and finally Park Minho had energy for other matters.

At this moment, he withdrew his gaze from the door and murmured quietly:

"System?!"

The instant he signed his name and pressed his seal, a mysterious voice had sounded in his mind, and something called "the system" had found him.

But because lawyer Tang Seok was present, he hadn't had time to investigate, so he could only delay.
