The moon was high, casting pale silver light through the broken roof of the ruined temple. Dust floated like ghostly fireflies, and somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled.
But none of that compared to the demoness now standing at the foot of my bed.
She didn't belong in this world.
She was too perfect, too dangerous, too unreal.
"You're cuter than I expected," she purred, crimson eyes glowing in the dark. Her voice was velvet soaked in sin.
