Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Moonlight and Restlessness

The night sky stretched endlessly, stars scattered like distant flames. The cold, bright moonlight bathed the entire ninja world below, peaceful and silent under its watchful gaze. But here, on the moon, it felt different—restless.

I sat on the castle's parapet, legs swinging freely, my white robe fluttering in the lunar breeze. At seven years old—at least, that's how old my body claimed to be—I was small against the vastness of the sky, framed by silver light.

My hair was pure white, soft and short, tousled by the wind. My face was delicate, almost ethereal, pale like the moonlight itself. Under my collarbone, a dark mark—the symbol of my clan—was etched into my skin, sharp and mysterious.

But my eyes remained shut tight.

"I've been stuck here for seven years," I whispered to the quiet air, voice low enough that only the wind heard me. "Seven years of waiting. When will those old fools finally stir? When will they end this endless dance of war and peace?"

I sighed, bitter and tired.

That's the name they gave me now, but it wasn't always mine. Names are just words. What mattered was what I carried inside.

"By now, the world down there should be my age—seven years old. But I can't just wait for fate to catch up. These ancient clans, they're slow. They bicker over small things, but the real storm… it's still years away."

I lifted my face to the stars, eyes still closed, imagining the sprawling ninja villages far below.

I'm a traveler through time. I know who I am. But here, blind and alone, I'm just a boy with no eyes.

The blood of the Ōtsutsuki clan flows through me—pure and potent. My body couldn't bear the power; that's why I was born without sight. A cruel fate, or maybe a necessary one.

Still, I can feel my talent burning brighter than any of those "geniuses" who run the ninja world. I don't know if it's the time travel, or just my nature, but I'm leagues ahead.

A flicker of red light stirred beneath my left hand. A glow, faint but fierce, pulsing with life. I let out a small, almost shy smile.

Just then, a soft voice called out, pulling me back.

"Young Master, the head of the house is calling."

It was Koyomi, my faithful maid. Though blind, my hearing is sharp enough to know exactly where she stood. She was a few years older than me, and though young, she carried herself with quiet strength.

I turned toward her voice. "Father wants to see me? Is it important?"

Koyomi shook her head, looking unsure. "I don't know, Young Master. But it sounded serious."

I nodded, brushing a lock of white hair from my face. "Thank you, Koyomi. You're always reliable."

She bowed politely. "It's my honor, Young Master. I only want what's best for you."

Despite my youth, Koyomi understood my mind was sharp and my destiny heavy. She knew my talent surpassed those in the ancient clans a hundred times over.

"Honestly," I said with a faint smile, "if you weren't my maid, I'd tell you to find your own path. You're too talented to waste here on someone like me—blind and stuck on this cold rock."

Koyomi blushed but remained steadfast. "My place is here, Young Master."

I chuckled softly, then leapt down from the wall, landing lightly beside her. The moon breeze tugged at my robes again, and I felt a spark of determination in my chest.

"Well, then. Let's go see Father."

We walked toward the grand hall inside the castle. Koyomi's footsteps followed close, steady and sure. She glanced back once, her eyes filled with concern and admiration.

Why was I born blind? Even she couldn't answer that.

What none of them knew was that my blindness was a curse born from the purity of my Ōtsutsuki bloodline. My body rejected the power in ways no ordinary eyes could endure.

But I would never accept being trapped here, waiting for a fate I refuse.

No. I would carve my own path, starting now.
