Chapter 1 - Arrival

"Ah... I can't believe I missed her banner..."

A girl lamented while cupping her face using both her hands.

Her black hair tangled around her fingers while a sigh escaped her lips.

The girl thought of calling her friend to tell them the news but she had a feeling she'd just be made fun of since she started playing late.

After all, she is the one that had convinced them she would definitely get her favorite character.

And now she missed it.

There's almost no doubt that they're going to make fun of her determination.

She could almost imagine the things they would be saying.

"Eh~? Didn't you say you'd grind day and night for that character? Why didn't you get her then?"

"Damn, I guess even the will of humanity has its limits."

"Deserved since you made fun of my pulls last time."

...Alright, maybe they're right just a little bit.

But that doesn't mean she's going to accept them!

Perhaps this is a a sign!

She's going to wait for the character's rerun, and she's going to fully maximize them!

Despite being a free to play player, she wouldn't mind actually swiping her cards the next time the character arrives...

At the very least, that was the plan.

She looked up towards the sky, it wasn't fully blue since there was some kind of red hue to them.

While laying on the ground wasn't something she'd do in her free time, she couldn't help but just stayed in her current position.

After all, she had been asleep just now, on her own bed.

But now... She's here.

Where?

No clue.

Does she care?

Yes, absolutely.

Imagine being kidnapped overnight with no sense of actually being kidnapped.

Like, you know you've been kidnapped but didn't think you were actually being kidnapped.

It's that kind of feeling.

She knows that she's not in her own world now, that was very clear.

But she doesn't know how she got here.

Did someone pull her in through some kind of one way portal?

Did time and space finally ripped apart, connecting different world line?

Is she just a victim of nature's occurrences?

"...Hah."

Of course, another sigh escaped her lips.

The amount of times she's done it in the past hours had been tiring but the feeling of emptiness fills her head more.

But she knows this place isn't safe.

Anywhere in the wild is never safe.

If safety isn't guaranteed, then she can't feel relieved.

The girl stood up, her waist long straight hair followed closely.

Her feet felt a bit numb, but that's alright. Nothing she's not used to.

Just need to find a safe spot so she can rest peacefully, perhaps even find a way back home.

Currently, she is practically homeless.

Nothing else to say.

The girl began walking in the direction of the sun that seemed to be setting.

While she's thinking of what kind of dinner she'd be able to eat in the wild, a sudden commotion caught her attention.

It sounded like someone was talking to another person...?

"Livia, any signs of Beppe? No? Ah... How about you, Brenno? Did you see any signs of Beppe? You too?"

"Hah... Beppe kept on disappearing... I can never take my eyes off them for a second."

As she got closer, she caught a sight of white overalls speaking to a bunch of... puppets?

One was that of a bunny meanwhile the other seemed to be based on bears. They're also extremely big, practically the same size as a normal person.

But it seemed like nobody was controlling them as they are able to move on their own without any help.

Suddenly, the girl turned around as if finally realizing someone had been watching her.

"Oh, Ah. Hello, nice to meet you... I don't think we've met before?"

The girl said hesitantly.

Of course, the black haired girl immediately recognize the girl.

Due to that, she also recognize the creature the girl had been speaking to.

It's like she's playing a detective game, she is connecting the dots on her own.

This... isn't she in the Wuthering Waves universe?

How could this be real?

Almost as if she was nervous, the blond haired girl spoke again, "Um... I apologize if I offended you in some way, but my name is Phoebe."

Phoebe... Phoebe... Yes, that's right. Phoebe.

This is definitely not a dream then.

It seems like she's now arrived in a place so entirely different as compared to her own.
