THE WATCHER: REVOLUTION
By Rapwizzy Debaron
Episode 11: The Original Six
---
Jax's body trembled—not from fear, but from the sheer overload of energy pulsing through his veins. His wounds were glowing—open, alive, raw with unstable code.
Across from him, six towering figures stood in a semi-circle, cloaked in obsidian robes. Each wore a different version of the Watcher's mask. Each radiated a different kind of dread.
> "Who… are they?" Jax muttered.
The First Watcher stepped aside.
> "They are the Alpha Sequence. The Original Six. Each one represents a failed revolution… and a perfected weapon."
One stepped forward—its mask cracked at the edge. The air grew cold as if time had slowed. The ground beneath him crystallized.
> "This one's name was Tundra," the First Watcher said. "Unit Zero-Zero-One."
Tundra raised a hand—and the very air condensed into a spear of frost. Without warning, he hurled it at Jax.
SPLASH—CRACK!
Jax barely dodged. The spear struck the floor behind him, instantly freezing a 10-meter radius in solid ice.
> That would've turned my heart into glass... Jax thought, panting.
Another stepped forward—Cinder, the fire-breather. Her body was lit from within, her veins flowing with magma instead of blood.
> "I remember you," Jax whispered.
"You screamed when they burned your wings off…"
Cinder didn't speak. She opened her mouth—
and a column of living flame erupted toward him.
BOOOOOOOM!
Jax shielded his face, skidding backward as the fire grazed his jacket.
His skin blistered.
But he didn't scream.
Instead, he lunged straight through the fire—fist first—and slammed it into Cinder's gut.
She flew back. But didn't fall.
> "They're not human anymore," Kira said in his earpiece, her voice tight.
"They're code-locked. Pure aggression. You can't reason with them."
> "Then I won't," Jax growled.
"I'll erase them."
---
From the corner, Unit 37 watched through a cracked doorway. His small hands trembled, but not from fear.
> "He's fighting gods…"
Behind him, Marek crouched, observing quietly.
> "He's not ready. Not yet."
"But if he survives this… he becomes the variable they can't control."
> "Is that good?" the boy asked.
Marek grinned.
> "For the world? No."
"But for revenge? Hell yes."
---
Back in the cradle, Jax ducked a spinning axe from another unit—Torque, the gravity manipulator.
The axe didn't miss.
It bent space as it passed, sucking Jax toward it like a black hole. He resisted, planting his feet into the steel floor, code tendrils anchoring him.
> They're each specialized. Elemental. Spatial. Time-bound.
But there must be a flaw…
Suddenly—his HUD pinged.
> Analyzing Weakness… Processing… Processing…
Then—
Kira screamed in his ear:
> "Their masks! That's where the seed core is! Break the mask and it destabilizes them!"
Jax didn't hesitate.
He vanished—reappeared behind Tundra—and SLAMMED his fist into the back of his mask.
CRRRAACKK!
Tundra screamed as his body began glitching—ice bleeding from every pore.
> "One down."
The First Watcher tilted his head.
> "So... you are learning. Interesting."
Jax turned to the others. Four remained. Cinder. Torque. Sable. Howl.
Then—Howl charged.
A sonic blast ripped through the air, cracking walls, shattering steel beams. Jax clutched his ears as blood spilled from them. His knees hit the ground.
Too fast. Too loud. Too powerful.
But behind the agony, a memory surfaced—
a girl laughing. A song.
His sister's voice…
He grit his teeth.
> "I buried you once, Howl…"
"I'll
do it again."
