Yaaaawn... A new day has started, and well, I'm still alive—so I guess I better keep going.
First things first: breakfast.
Oh right, I forgot to mention—yesterday I found some new fruits in the jungle. Blueberries, a few mangoes, and some weird ones I couldn't name but tasted... decent. Some were downright nasty, though.
I had a bit of each while planning my day:
First—make a weapon.
Then—develop a fighting style.
See, I'm not into fighting blindly just to survive. I don't wanna just hit—I wanna know how I hit.
That's when I had an idea… Kung fu wooden dummies.
Yup, I decided to build one for myself and develop my own fighting style from it.
First, I needed a weapon. I remembered the ribs of that massive snake. Maybe I could turn them into swords.
I headed to the snake's body. Since I'd already skinned it, only meat and bones were left.
With a ton of effort—and a bit of physical boosting—I managed to rip out two of its ribs. It was hard… like really hard.
The ribs were pointy but not sharp enough. I scraped one against the other while boosting my strength until they both became short, bone swords. I used dry roots to craft handles for them.
With weapons ready, it was dummy time.
I found a thick log—probably something one of those giant animals had tossed by the beach. I planted it deep in the ground like a post. Then I used leftover snake bones to mark strike points on it.
Wrapped the whole thing with tree roots to keep it steady.
I gave myself two goals:
1. Break the dummy with power boost.
2. Break it without power boost.
And so the training began…
Months passed. I kept training and hunting. Saw animals that'd make even movie monsters jealous—wolves, tigers, and gigantic versions of them.
But then… one day… I finally managed to break the dummy using my boosted strength.
I felt proud. I'd taken the first step.
Next up: building my own combat style.
Something practical. Not some flashy, slow-motion anime stuff.
I focused on power and speed. My adaptation ability helped a lot—I could boost exactly the parts I needed:
Legs for speed.
Arms for strikes.
Made me not just stronger, but smarter in battle.
I even came up with a dodge pattern: an eight-point movement system. Took a while to learn, but it helped me stay alive in real fights.
Still, as my training got more intense, nature got meaner.
The weather turned cold.
I built a shelter using ram hide, 'cause my body hadn't adapted to the cold yet.
Heavy rain came and wrecked it. I had to rebuild… stronger this time.
But I wasn't the same guy anymore.
I was tougher.
Training went on—swimming in lakes, lifting logs, practicing with bone swords, punching rocks.
A warrior was rising from the heart of the jungle.
I don't know if it was because of reincarnation, adaptation, or the wild diet I was on—but wielding swords and fighting started to feel natural.
I'd finally found my own fighting style.
But there was one problem…
Loneliness.
I was starting to go a little crazy, to be honest.
Maybe it's time I tame a few animals. Even a small companion would help keep me sane.
Now that everything's more or less in place, I think the time's come.
I need to explore the whole jungle.
I think... I'm ready.
