Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

The Lookout.

"Come forth, Shenlong! Grant my wish!"

The seven glowing Dragon Balls were neatly arranged.

With a dramatic wave of his arm, Son Goku shouted into the sky.

——Hummm!!

A mystical voice rang out.

The Dragon Balls released a dazzling golden light, soaring into the heavens, piercing through the clouds.

In the blink of an eye, the once-bright sky turned pitch black.

The mighty form of Shenlong gradually manifested—

A vast, sky-obscuring serpent coiled above, its imposing red eyes slowly casting their gaze upon the Lookout.

"What wish do you seek this time? I can grant you three, no matter what they are."

Shenlong's voice was filled with majesty as he looked toward Goku.

"Hehe."

"This time, Shenlong, it's not me making the wish."

Goku smiled and turned to Aishi.

"Aishi, go ahead."

"Right."

Aishi stepped forward, looking up at the great dragon.

"Please remove the bombs inside No.17 and No.18… oh, and No.16 too."

Since No.16 hadn't been repaired by Bulma in this timeline, might as well take care of it now.

Upon hearing this—

Shenlong fell silent for a moment. A red glow flashed through his eyes.

"A simple wish."

"Do you have any others?"

Aishi exchanged a glance with Goku. Goku then asked, "Aishi, got anything else in mind?"

"Do you want the ability to breathe in space?"

Aishi suddenly offered.

"Breathe in space?"

Goku paused, deep in thought.

He had actually overlooked that detail.

Despite the Saiyans' monstrous power, they still had critical weaknesses—

And not being able to breathe in vacuum was one of them.

After considering it, Goku realized how useful that ability would be.

He remembered Namek…

If he'd been able to breathe in space back then, would he have even needed a spaceship?

He could've just flown off after transforming into Super Saiyan.

With that realization, Goku nodded at Aishi.

"That's a great idea!"

With their minds made up—

The two made their wish to Shenlong.

"Your wishes have been granted."

"Farewell."

Shenlong's voice echoed.

Then, with a flash of light, his massive form dispersed into golden sparks.

The seven Dragon Balls scattered once more across Earth.

The sky returned to its usual brightness.

"Aishi, that wish was genius!"

"If we run into some unstoppable enemy next time, we can just drag them into space to fight!"

Goku laughed.

"Exactly. Saiyan flight speed already surpasses most ships. If one has enough stamina, they can travel freely through space."

Aishi nodded.

Mount Paozu,

On a flat plain behind the Son family home—

Goku, Gohan, and Aishi slowly landed.

Goku had invited Aishi over for a meal, and after eating, they came to the back mountain for a sparring session.

He'd also brought along his son, Gohan—

Hoping Gohan could gain some insight from watching Aishi and himself spar.

"Aishi, that Super Saiyan Full Power form you mentioned when fighting Vegeta—I think I've more or less mastered it."

"But I want to know—"

"Is there a form beyond Super Saiyan Full Power?"

"Like…"

"Something beyond a Super Saiyan—Super Saiyan 2!"

Goku said with genuine curiosity and a smile.

"You already have the answer, don't you?"

Aishi chuckled.

Goku had already sensed the embryonic state of Super Saiyan 2.

He just wanted confirmation.

"So it's real!"

"I knew it!"

Goku's eyes lit up.

Then—

He said something unexpected.

"Actually, if you hadn't stepped in, I wouldn't have fought Cell."

"My plan was for Gohan to defeat him."

"Back in the Room of Spirit and Time, I saw his incredible potential and talent."

"When he gets angry, he might even surpass Super Saiyan…"

Off to the side—

Gohan, who had been quietly listening, froze.

Hearing that he was part of this plan surprised him. He scratched his head and smiled shyly.

"It's true. Gohan's potential is terrifying. With proper guidance, he'll definitely reach a level not even Super Saiyan God can ignore."

Aishi nodded.

Gohan's talent and potential were absolutely top-tier.

If he trained properly, it wouldn't be Jiren who'd suffer during the Tournament of Power—it would be the others.

"You think so too?"

Goku smiled. "That's why I brought him with me today."

"Partly to let him witness your strength, and partly…"

"To ask if you'd teach him."

Goku had long seen how gifted Gohan was. He didn't want it wasted.

Right now, Gohan had just exited the Room of Spirit and Time, and his combat instincts were still sharp—

It was the perfect time for training!

As for why Aishi—

That was obvious.

Aishi's martial arts mastery far exceeded his own!

And he was a high schooler!

The two would have more to talk about, and Chi-Chi wouldn't object.

He'd just lie—

Say Gohan was going to Aishi's place for tutoring.

Whether that was academic or martial arts knowledge… well, that was up for interpretation.

All he had to do was hand the kid over.

"I figured."

Aishi nodded.

"Gohan can train under me, but he'll need to formally become my disciple."

"That's great!"

Goku was thrilled and turned to Gohan.

"Gohan, what do you think?"

He respected his son's choice. If Gohan refused, he wouldn't blame him.

He was alive—that was enough. When the sky falls, someone else can hold it up.

He just didn't want to see his son's potential go to waste.

Hearing that—

Gohan was stunned.

He looked at his dad, then at Aishi.

In his father's eyes, he saw expectation.

In Aishi's—confidence and unmatched strength.

After a moment of silence, he looked up at Aishi with determination.

"Sensei!"

He even moved to kneel—

"No need for that."

Aishi stopped him with a smile and helped him up.

Taking Gohan as his disciple—

He was more than willing.

Bright, powerful bloodline, diligent, polite, good-tempered, kind-hearted, loyal…

There wasn't a single bad trait to pick at.

With someone like him, there was no fear of betrayal.
