Chapter 1 - The beginning of pain/ the Part One

Below is the English translation of your novel chapter.

A pristine morning stretches green plains beneath a clear blue sky. Golden sun rays shimmer on leaves that sway gently with the breeze. A small river twists through the valley, its waters dancing like mirrors, reflecting puffy white clouds. Colorful birds flutter among the branches, their sounds a quiet song filling the air with the scent of dewy grass and wild flowers. On distant hills, wooden village houses are scattered, their red roofs glowing under the sunlight, as if painted by an artist's hand.

..........

Or so it was.

Suddenly, the silence is broken by the sound of rapid footsteps hitting the grass. The camera quickly follows a boy in a torn shirt and tattered trousers—it's Dark, fourteen years old. His black hair flies in the wind, and his red eyes gleam with a mix of fear and excitement. In his hand, he clutches three pieces of toast, stuffed into his pocket like precious spoils. He runs at incredible speed, leaping over and between houses, then dropping down and dodging attacks thrown at him, entering the crowd of people.

Catch him! The little thief!"

a furious voice echoes from behind him. The camera shifts to show a crowd of villagers and soldiers chasing him. Farmers wave pitchforks and axes, while soldiers, in their heavy gray uniforms, carry exaggerated weapons: massive arrow launchers, swords glowing with a faint fire, and even a portable cannon swaying on one soldier's shoulder. "

Three pieces of bread! This scoundrel will regret it!"

shouts a man with a thick mustache, his face red with anger.

Dark turns for a moment, smirking defiantly.

"Is that all you've got?

" he yells, his voice full of challenge. He leaps over a wooden fence, lands on a thatched roof, and slides smoothly into a narrow alley. The crowd stumbles behind him, soldiers collide in chaos, and the cannon accidentally fires a shell, causing a small explosion that demolishes a vegetable cart. Dark laughs, but nearly trips when splattered with flying tomatoes. This repeats with every attempted cannon shot.

Dark enters the crowded village market, weaving between stalls, leaping over sacks of grain, and snatching an apple from a passing stall, biting into it as he runs.

"Not sorry, won't pay later!"

he shouts, dodging a spear thrown by an enraged soldier.

He scales a stone wall quickly, his fingers skillfully gripping the cracks, then jumps onto another roof, where he pauses to catch his breath. He looks at the pieces of bread in his pocket, his eyes gleaming with a faint sadness.

"All this for you, my sisters...

" he whispers, as if speaking to someone absent.

The crowd now surrounds him, soldiers spread out in the alleys, and villagers brandish their strange weapons. Dark smiles, as if the chase is a game he loves. He leaps onto a nearby tree, swings on a branch, and lands on a horse-drawn cart. He grabs the reins, yelling "Go!!!" and the cart speeds off, raising a cloud of dust. Soldiers fire arrows, but Dark dodges them with agility, laughing as he waves at them. "

Try harder!"

he says sarcastically, pulling down his eyelid and sticking out his tongue.

But suddenly, his laughter stops. His face becomes shocked by a giant spear in front of him, launched by a sniper a kilometer away with his arms.

The spear shatters the cart, and Dark quickly stabs the spear in its wooden part to save himself, causing the spear to fly into the sky, carrying him with it.

Dark sees the rooftops from above, which frightens him a little.

Suddenly, a huge number of soldiers emerge, leaping into the air to the high altitude where Dark is—they are the special forces.

They gather around him, their eyes glowing with an angry red light.

Dark stands on the spear, fearful and stunned, as the camera spins around him and suddenly stops in front of his face. A huge, colossal soldier appears behind him, having jumped towards him, and prepares to deliver a powerful swing.

Dark turns around in terror as the swing comes for him, and he blocks it with his dagger, but the force of the swing, after being blocked, throws him downwards rapidly.

Dark stabs his dagger into the wooden spear again.

He falls in freefall towards the ground with an uncomfortable sensation due to the air current. He begins to get more scared and starts to cry.

Suddenly, the same giant soldier from before falls towards Dark to attack at a 30-degree angle, and Dark parries his attack with his dagger, sending the giant soldier bouncing back into the sky, only to return at a 90-degree angle of descent. Dark parries him again and repeats, quickly and successively, with each attack increasing Dark's descent downwards.

While they are doing this, other soldiers fall towards the spear that Dark is on, gathering densely in the sky like bees in an "at attention" position.

They landed on the giant spear.

And moved quickly towards Dark. Dark does not attack; he only defends and dodges.

All this happens while Dark is parrying the giant soldier's attacks from the sky.

Suddenly, one of the soldiers lunges to stab Dark, but Dark parries it with the steel surface of his dagger. However, the soldier's sword quickly penetrates the steel surface and enters it. Dark narrowly avoids this and pushes his dagger further into the sword, then pushes his dagger downwards to break the sword.

Just then, they were about to reach the ground. The soldiers and the giant soldier had backed off. The giant soldier was about to attack again, and Dark prepared for him, but suddenly, the giant soldier moved behind him and delivered a powerful swing that threw Dark far away. Dark blocked it, but it sent him flying above the ground. Suddenly, spears and arrows came flying towards him. Dark was shocked but then saw a cart beside him as he flew. He stabbed the cart and entered it to protect himself.

Suddenly, swords emerged from beneath the cart, trying to stab him, while he tried to dodge them. But the swords eventually emerged from under the cart, encircling him. He began to try and push the swords emerging from under the cart with force every time they came out, but suddenly a projectile was thrown at the cart. The projectile passed beside Dark, and Dark's face showed shock—the projectile would have hit him if he had lifted his head.

Dark jumped from the cart, fleeing in fear, and leaped onto the rooftops of houses, jumping between them while arrows and spears were thrown at him and soldiers chased him.

Dark reaches a tower and begins to climb it quickly while soldiers climb towards him, but Dark throws gas balls down at them, causing severe itching and eye irritation, which makes many soldiers fall. However, one soldier pushes upwards, enduring the itching and irritation. Dark is shocked and quickly decides to jump from the top of the tower.

Then Dark points his dagger behind him and begins to speak in his thoughts:

Please work here.

I need you now. I need you, my magic.

Dark is sweating, and his heart is pounding rapidly.

And suddenly, a current of wind shoots from his dagger, pushing him far away while he laughs at the soldiers.

Dark: "Hahahahahahahaha! My magic

worked, you failures

Then, with this magic, Dark heads towards a large, abandoned palace and enters it through a window, panting in fear.

The soldiers suddenly gather around him and surround him.

Dark smashes the floor with his fist, the wooden planks cracking beneath his feet, his breath coming in short gasps, and sweat soaking his forehead. But before he can succeed, spears rain down like a storm, heading towards him with deadly speed in slow motion.

His eyes widen, and time slows down...

Dark in his thoughts: Is this...?! My... end...?!

And suddenly—

A blast of wind erupts, shattering windows, and a sharp roar fills the abandoned palace.

Boooooommmmmmmm!

A colorful metallic object pierces the side wall like a meteor, colliding with Dark with force, carrying him along in a frantic surge, shrapnel scattering, and spears veering off course.

Dark (screaming as he clings to the flying object):

"WHAT?!"

The camera spins to show who saved him—it's Rose, her eyes terrified, using a primitive flying machine equipped with shaky, dangerously noisy jet engines.

Dark (looking at her in astonishment):

"ROOOOSE??!!"

Rose (trying to control it):

"AAAAAAHHHHHHH DARK!!! I'm sorry! My invention lost control!!"

The machine flies erratically, swaying between pillars, crashing into walls and spewing sparks. It flies wildly and chaotically everywhere. Dark clings to it, screaming, his eyes filled with fear and astonishment:

Rose (screaming):

"Hold on tight! This thing isn't listening to me!!"

Dark (between panic and laughter):

"Great... you saved me with a flying death machine!"

They head towards the village forest, entering it until they reach their cave where their sister, vatom, stands playing with a ball. They were about to collide with her, but Dark quickly descends and grabs Rose, pushing forcefully. Dark's feet scrape hard against the ground as he tries to stop them further by pushing forward, and the flying machine moves quickly towards the cave despite Dark's attempts to stop it. As they were about to hit their sister, Dark quickly thought and hugged Rose tightly to make her invention stuck in Dark's embrace.

This allowed Rose to detach her invention, and then Dark destroyed it.

Rose is shocked that her invention was destroyed.

Rose stares at the scattered wreckage before her. Parts of the machine lie strewn on the ground like the remains of a broken dream, with wisps of smoke and faint sparks rising from them. Her eyes do not blink, her mouth slightly open, as if the air had left her chest and not returned.

Rose (in a very low voice, barely audible):

"...It... he destroyed it..."

She walks slowly towards a piece of the metal frame, bends down, and picks it up with her trembling hands. She runs her fingers over its burnt surface, then looks at it... and smiles nervously.

Rose (with a small, broken smile):

"That was... the stabilizing engine. I spent two weeks adjusting its angle..."

She laughs. A short, pained, lifeless laugh. Then it suddenly turns into suppressed anger.

Rose (raising her voice and turning to Dark):

"I was going to fix it! I just needed time! You didn't have to destroy it!!"

She shoves the piece of iron away, and it falls to the ground with a sharp metallic sound. Then her lips tremble, she lowers her head, and her shoulders shake in silence.

Rose (whispering):

"...This is the first thing... I felt was mine."

She kneels, gathering the machine's fragments with her hands as if collecting the pieces of her broken heart, each piece holding the memory of a small hope. But she doesn't cry. She just falls silent... and the single tear slowly falls, dropping onto one of the broken nails.

Dark (in a quiet, guilty voice):

"...Rose..."

He takes a step towards her, then hesitates... He tries to reach out, but pulls his hand back as if afraid to touch the wreckage, to make things worse.

Dark (bending slightly, in a sad voice):

"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to... I was just... scared for Fatom."

"If there's one thing I can fix... let me start with it. Maybe... I can help you rebuild it?"

Rose (breathing slowly, finally turning to him and gasping):

"Okay, no problem, it's fine."

Dark stands up after a moment of silence, wipes his hand lightly, then opens his pocket and smiles softly:

Dark (with childlike enthusiasm):

"But look what I brought! TOOOOAAAST!"

He looks in his pocket... and freezes for a moment.

Dark (in shock):

"Huh?! Where's the third one?!"

He stands, turns around, searching the ground.

"Fell?... Oh well..."

He sighs a little, then looks at vatom, who watches him with wide eyes.

Dark (smiling gently and giving her a piece of toast):

"Alright... I don't need to eat."

"Here, this is for you, my little ducky."

Vatom takes the loaf with both hands and begins to eat it slowly and quietly, as if afraid it will run out quickly.

Dark extends the other one towards Rose.

Dark:

"And this one's for you."

Rose looks at him, then raises her eyebrow and gently pushes his hand away.

Rose:

"You eat it."

Dark (slightly annoyed):

"But you're the little one here!"

Rose (with a warm smile):

"And you're responsible."

Dark pushes the loaf towards her again.

Dark:

"Take it."

Rose:

"You take it."

Dark:

"Take it."

Rose:

"Take it."

Dark and Rose, with wide smiles, begin gently pushing each other's hands, the scene repeating in a funny and endearing way:

Dark and Rose (together, in a quick tone):

"Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it!"

Rose suddenly turns, then runs quickly and escapes from him.

Dark (shouting, laughing):

"Heyyyyy! Come baaaack here!"

He sprints after her, his feet sliding a little on the ground as he waves his arms as if threatening her:

Dark:

"Come back! Or I'll throw you to the army that was chasing me just now!"

Rose (from a distance, laughing):

"I'm faster! You're a bread hero, not a runner!"

Vatom watches them run in the sunset light, smiling quietly as she chews the last bite of her toast, then whispers to herself:

Vatom:

"I love you...Both of you"
