At his 18th birthday party, everyone laughs. Scozza looks calmer than expected.
Scozza (thoughts): "Today's the day... but I feel .. okay?"
In scozza's room, Nyxcie appears for the final time. Its fur glows faintly with the dying light of the evening.
Nyxcie: "Today's the day .. Any last words you wanna tell me?"
Scozza: "Tell Sophia... I kept my promise."
Nyxcie (softly): "Wait .. There is but a way. One more life. Another beginning. A new name."
Scozza shakes his head no.
Scozza: "No, No more second chances. This one was enough .."
Nyxcie pauses for a second, shocked, before bowing and vanishing away. No more offers, no more second chances, scozza will die at midnight.
Out of curiosity, Scozza applies to college, to see if he'd get accepted. He did. Yet he never replied back.
Not long after, Scozza and his friends including Jules camp by a lake. Laughter, stories, shooting stars. Scozza feels alive.
By the time Scozza returns, Konikura finds his journal. He smiles and lets her read a couple pages.
Konikura (whispering): "You're really brave .. and awesome .. you know."
