Minato Namikaze took away the injured genin and the terrified boy.
Now only Chinya, Kushina Uzumaki, Jiraiya, and Tsunade remained at the scene.
Kushina Uzumaki's gaze toward Jiraiya and Tsunade was filled with caution and distrust.
At this moment, for Kushina, anyone who opposed Chinya or was opposed by Chinya simply wasn't good people.
Jiraiya didn't care much about it.
Tsunade, however, felt troubled.
Kushina Uzumaki was from the same clan as her grandmother Mito Uzumaki. She had now arrived in Konoha, essentially being the only remaining member of Mito Uzumaki's clan.
Tsunade also had Uzumaki blood in her veins, which made her and Kushina actual clanswomen.
Moreover, Tsunade clearly understood why Kushina had come to Konoha.
Konoha couldn't emphasize Kushina's safety too much. Yet not long ago, that genin had actually aimed deadly kunai at her!
Though furious about what the genin had done, Tsunade still had to intervene—it was necessary since it was a Konoha shinobi.
Then there was Chinya before her.
Tsunade already knew something about Chinya—the matter had created quite a stir back then.
Mito Uzumaki had even complained to Tsunade about it.
Born with half Senju and half Uchiha blood, Chinya had not been accepted by the Uchiha Clan and became their scapegoat, hated by every villager in Konoha.
What surprised Tsunade was how close Chinya and Kushina seemed to have become.
Chinya had even gone so far as to threaten crippling those two brats for laying a hand on Kushina.
But hadn't Kushina only recently arrived in Konoha? Could they possibly have known each other beforehand?
As Tsunade pondered this, she unintentionally caught sight of the blood left on the ground.
Her pupils constricted, and her entire body began trembling slightly.
Her fear of blood flared up again.
Jiraiya noticed Tsunade acting strangely and immediately stepped in front of her, blocking her view.
Jiraiya said to Tsunade, "I'll take these two kids to see the old man. You should go rest."
Tsunade took several deep breaths, forcing her heartbeat—racing from her fear of blood—to calm down.
"I'm fine. I'll go with you to see the old man."
Now that she understood exactly who Kushina and Chinya really were, Tsunade decided she would accompany them when meeting Hiruzen Sarutobi.
If Chinya hadn't threatened to cripple those two brats by severing all four limbs, this wouldn't have been such a big issue.
But Chinya had indeed made such a threat, and if Hiruzen found out, Chinya could very likely face serious consequences.
Seeing Tsunade's determination, Jiraiya didn't push further but turned instead to Chinya and Kushina and said, "Let's go. Come with us to see the old man."
Chinya, however, suddenly said, "This has nothing to do with Kushina. It's me they should deal with."
Before Jiraiya could speak, Kushina anxiously blurted out, "No way, Chinya! I'm going with you!"
Kushina Uzumaki took Chinya's hand and gave Jiraiya and Tsunade a wary glance before speaking, "I'm afraid someone might say something wrong in front of the Hokage. This clearly isn't Chinya's fault, so I must explain everything to the Hokage personally…"
Chinya sighed slightly. If Hiruzen Sarutobi wanted to punish him, no matter how much Kushina explained, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
But Chinya wasn't too concerned about any actual punishment from Hiruzen Sarutobi.
As long as Chinya could prove his worth, the punishment wouldn't be overly harsh, and life would go on as usual afterward.
Kushina was about to say more when she looked into Chinya's eyes and suddenly exclaimed, "What happened to your eyes?!"
"My eyes?"
Confused, Chinya picked up a broken blade from the ground and used its reflective surface to examine himself.
He felt some surprise—he had awakened the dual single-tomoe [Sharingan] in both eyes.
Earlier, when Tsunade had knocked his broken sword aside, Chinya realized the fight was over and there was no chance left, so he had relaxed his body and stopped channeling chakra.
But then his eyes had stung slightly, prompting him instinctively to close them.
When he opened them again, everything looked sharper—as if moving in slow motion.
Because Jiraiya and Tsunade had appeared so suddenly, Chinya had been a bit nervous and hadn't immediately thought about the [Sharingan].
He hadn't anticipated awakening the [Sharingan] this time.
Jiraiya and Tsunade also stared at Chinya's [Sharingan], slightly open-mouthed.
Jiraiya asked in astonishment, "Kid, how old are you?"
"Nine."
"What? Only nine years old?!"
Both Jiraiya and Tsunade were utterly stunned.
Chinya tilted his head in confusion—why were they so shocked?
After thinking for a moment, he understood their reactions.
According to historical records, the earliest known [Sharingan] awakening in the Uchiha Clan was Sasuke Uchiha, who had witnessed the massacre of his clan at age seven due to intense psychological trauma, awakening the single-tomoe [Sharingan], though he didn't realize it at the time.
Itachi Uchiha awakened his [Sharingan] at eight after one of his comrades was killed by Obito Uchiha, igniting his fury.
Shisui Uchiha probably awakened his around the same age as Itachi.
Obito Uchiha awakened his dual double-tomoe [Sharingan] at twelve after an intense emotional outburst.
Madara Uchiha awakened his [Sharingan] at fifteen.
Of course, none of these individuals—Sasuke, Itachi, Shisui, or Obito—had been born yet, which meant that currently, Chinya might be the earliest recorded case of [Sharingan] awakening in Uchiha history.
Granted, there may have been others within the Uchiha Clan whose early awakenings remained unrecorded.
Still, awakening the [Sharingan] at nine placed Chinya among the earliest known cases.
Now, Chinya felt even less worried about facing Hiruzen Sarutobi later.
With his [Sharingan] awakened, his value had significantly increased.
Chinya briefly assessed his [Sharingan]. While active, it continuously consumed chakra.
Thanks to the Senju Clan's bloodline, his current chakra reserves were quite abundant.
Although the System assessed that Chinya possessed only one-fifth of Kakashi's chakra when Kakashi had his single [Sharingan] active.
But right now, Chinya was still just a brat who hadn't even graduated from the Ninja Academy yet. Kakashi, on the other hand, was an elite Jonin. Even using just one-fifth of his chakra for the Sharingan, its power should still be at least equivalent to that of a Chunin.
Moreover, the Sharingan was Chinya's inherited Kekkei Genkai—unlike Kakashi's borrowed one, it caused him no side effects. In the future, Chinya's chakra reserves would definitely become much greater.
Chinya cut off the chakra flow to his Sharingan, and his eyes reverted to their normal dark irises.
Jiraiya and Tsunade had mostly recovered from their shock and said to Chinya and Kushina Uzumaki, "Let's go."
Chinya had originally intended to ask Kushina Uzumaki to stay behind—after all, nothing serious was likely to happen. He'd just have to watch his words again, dealing with the whole awkward situation alone. No need for both of them to go through that.
But Kushina Uzumaki gripped his hand tightly and gazed up at him with determined eyes.
Sighing slightly, Chinya muttered with reluctant amusement: "Alright then, let's go together."
