*Ethan's POV*
I slam my phone down on my kitchen counter and pace across my condo. Two hours of calling every high-end restaurant in Orlando, and I'm getting the same response everywhere. "We're fully booked." "No availability for tonight." "Perhaps next month?"
This is humiliating.
I grab my phone again and dial Cloud Cafeteria directly. Maybe if I talk to someone higher up the chain.
"Cloud Cafeteria International Drive, this is Rebecca speaking."
"This is Ethan Pierce. I was in earlier about a reservation."
"Oh." Her voice immediately becomes guarded. "Mr. Pierce."
"I want to speak with your general manager."
"I'm sorry, but—"
"I don't care what happened this morning. I'm prepared to pay premium rates for tonight."
"Sir, I was specifically instructed that—"
"How much? Name your price."
There's a long pause. "Hold please."
I wait, drumming my fingers on the counter. This is insane. I've never been rejected from anywhere. The Pierce name opens doors in this city.
